I Became the Weakest Summon of the Genius Summoner

Chapter 24

Chapter 24. Big Boar Dungeon

The slime swayed back and forth, led by Yeon-hee's hand, and surprisingly, it didn't take her long to decide.

The slime's name, which could have been "Squishy" or "Wobbly", was unexpectedly simple.

"Let's just go with 'Lime'!"

'Hehe- not bad, right?'

For once, she came up with a simple yet good name.

"Okay, Lime, see my arm here? Could you wrap around it once?"

The slime followed Yeon-hee's words, bouncing around before it climbed up her shoulder and elongated its body to wrap around her arm.

"Ilwol, can you hit here lightly with your club?"

Nod-

I grabbed the club I had conjured and gently tapped her arm, only to have it bounce back against something elastic, flinging the club upwards.

"Kyaa! It really works! Can you hit a bit harder?"

Even as I struck with more force, the result was the same.

It wasn't until I used my full strength that the slime's core started to move around.

The core shifting meant it was either in danger or had sustained an impact it couldn't handle.

"Still, to withstand Ilwol's attack like this. It's a huge success, right?"

"Clack-clack-clack!!"

In my past life, I always kept a bit of distance when watching her fights, so seeing it up close now even surprised me.

After helping her with her defense training, the night grew deep, and Yeon-hee went to sleep while I continued my training as usual.

Vwoom- Vwoom-

'I'd like to get a shield before a club, but hmm...'

For someone like me, who often engaged in close combat with Stealth, a buckler-type round shield and a short blade weapon would be more suitable than a long club.

There are two ways to acquire gear: crafted from key parts or byproducts of monsters you catch or help defeat, or by taking monsters' equipment.

However, monsters' equipment is rarely useful, so self-crafting is a common route.

While one can wear others' gear, its performance drops by more than 95%, making it virtually useless.

I'm not sure why this system exists, but because of it, even wealthy people can't wear top-notch gear from the start, making it a somewhat reasonable structure.

That's why blacksmiths and workshops constantly overflow with work, and those with innate equipment crafting classes are as highly regarded as rare classes like supporters or healers.

Today, the intermediate summon creature 'Lan' emerged, which is why Yeon-hee liked it so much.

Most awakeners are already overwhelmed with controlling themselves, so providing beneficial effects to others isn't just as simple as it sounds.

But since 'Lan' is a spirit, it could use such magic as skillfully as breathing, and as long as there's sufficient magic power, it would remarkably enhance team combat power.

Anyway, as dawn broke, we re-entered the Goblin Dungeon.

As soon as we entered, we swiftly took down a group of eight goblins without much thought, and surprisingly, we managed to subdue them easily.

"Haha- Lime really is great for defense! I'll have to prepare a bit for close combat too!"

During the battle, two goblins targeted Yeon-hee, and 'Lime' sprayed acid to fend off one and blocked the other's attack with its slime armor, allowing her to easily stab it with a dagger.

When I joined in, the situation was resolved.

'See, even a single addition can make a huge difference. Still, using the skeleton soldier's enhancement last time was a bit wasteful...'

I clicked my tongue in regret as we gathered the spoils. Meanwhile, Yeon-hee was happily swinging her arm wrapped in slime with a bright smile.

With the slime, we entered the dungeon for three days, defeating a staggering 130 goblins and slimes.

As a result, the slime likely leveled up quite a bit, and so did I, gaining two more levels.

-----

【Skeleton Soldier Ilwol - Lv.14】

Agility: 42(+3)
Stamina: 42(+3)
Intelligence: 24
Magic Power: 38(+6)

Sense: 21

Skills: Heavy Strike, Stealth, Dagger Throw, Acid Spray, Basic Conversion

Equipment: Roughly Carved Wooden Club

-----

I distributed the points evenly among Strength, Agility, Stamina, and Magic Power, finally surpassing 40 in Strength for the first time.

Additionally, the level of the Acid Spray skill increased.

Acid Spray Lv.3

- Sprays deadly acidic liquid to the front.
- Increased spray amount +2
- Increased spray range +2

With the widened spray range, I could now attack two enemies simultaneously with acid.

"Ah..."

The biggest gain was Yeon-hee's achievement. She now received a considerable attack boost against goblins and wouldn't get severely injured from attacks.

Testing it while returning to the exit after the achievement, Yeon-hee's arrow embedded in a goblin's forehead, causing its head to explode.

"Gah..."

'I wonder how much additional attack power it takes for the head to burst like a watermelon.'

Her lower body trembled slightly with excitement, seemingly feeling the destructive power firsthand.

However, today marked the end of the Goblin Dungeon journey.

Although goblin mobs still populated the Big Boar Dungeon, we'd focus on hunting big boars, so we wouldn't encounter goblins as frequently.

Back home, we practiced in anticipation and excitement for entering a new dungeon, albeit clumsily, in our small studio room.

The next day, we finally entered the Big Boar Dungeon.

Clack-

"I'll leave the report on the desk, director."

In the top-floor office space in the Cheongarang building, used as the headquarters for the White Knight Guild, a man with slanted eyes sipped tea leisurely.

His most faithful subordinate and A-rank hunter, 'Jung Joo-in', placed a seemingly thick pile of reports on Cho Giman's desk and clasped his hands behind his back.

"Very well. Dismissed."

"Yes, then..."

The man with slicked-back hair respectfully bowed to Cho Giman before disappearing from the space in an instant. Cho Giman continued to savor his tea by the window, overlooking the cityscape.

The pile of documents on the desk was soon held in his hands, and Cho Giman calmly skimmed through each page.

"Hmm- as expected... Since she didn't end up hospitalized, the initial growth is fast. But still, barely in the high teens after five months..."

The documents packed with information related to Yeon-hee showed little deviation from the existing data, except the achievement of the 100-Man Battle and occasional use of acidic items.

"It's within expectations. Considering there was a period of rampant growth after an injury in the past, she might be underperforming."

Moreover, she still couldn't perfectly control the unusually large skeleton soldier.

Was there an anomaly in her talent as a summoner?

If so, that could explain her use of disposable acidic items she never used in her past life.

"There's gain and loss in everything. While I don't favor her not showing her somber side, as she did before..."

Either way, she'll be within his grasp in a few months. Until then, there's no need to pay much attention.

"She's just a disposable until the day the Orc Legion Commander launches his attack."

He tried hard to erase her presence from his mind, but his hands eventually betrayed him, flipping to the first page of the documents with Yeon-hee's picture on them.

Squeeek!!

"Argh—!! What is this, really!!"

Barely twenty minutes into the Big Boar Dungeon, we encountered our first big boar.

It had a massive body reminiscent of a huge wild boar, just as the name suggested, with a horn the size of an arm protruding from its forehead catching my eye first.

As usual, I tried for a preemptive strike.

Rumble!!

'It's sensitive to vibrations, so sneaking up unnoticed isn't easy.'

Instead, the creature spotted us first and charged.

Yeon-hee quickly aimed and shot an arrow at its head, but the shallow penetration seemed to further aggravate the big boar.

She quickly flung herself sideways to dodge its charge and shouted loudly.

"Lime!"

Responding to Yeon-hee's call, the slime enveloped my bones and sprayed acidic liquid onto the charging big boar's face before colliding.

Squelch—

Squeak?!

Though we crashed head-on, only 5 stamina points were lost thanks to the slime on my shoulder. Yeon-hee's arrow accurately struck the surprised big boar's eye.

Thunk—!!

Squeeaaal—!!

I swayed atop the struggling creature, using Acid Spray and Heavy Strike alternately while clinging on with Adhesion, gritting my teeth to endure.

Thunk! Thunk thunk!!

Yeon-hee's arrows continued to pierce the softer areas of its flank, and eventually, the big boar's resistance waned, causing it to topple sideways, collapsing to the ground.

TL's Corner:
Does Cho Giman have a thing for Yeon-hee?
