Chapter 1010
<1010 – Eastern Experience Book (9)>
An infinite amount of dark mana poured out from the magic sword, engulfing the city of Sonkyung belonging to the Son family in no time.
Oknodie, in a hurry to gather the dark mana that threatened to swallow people and kill them one by one, took out a concentrated clump and sprayed it everywhere.
At that moment, from the center of the clump, dark spirits shrouded in pitch-black darkness awakened.
“Ahhh! It’s weird!”
“Weird creatures have appeared in broad daylight!”
The entire city, from the marketplace to the warrior district, was thrown into chaos.
Unlike the usual weird creatures that would quietly gather at night, this new type of weird was rampaging in broad daylight.
It was enough to send the residents fleeing in terror.
“No! We can’t run now! The quarantine hasn’t been set up yet!”
Behind the fleeing residents, dark mana was sneaking up behind them.
Fearing it would riot in other cities if left unchecked, Oknodie quickly deployed a barrier.
A huge field defense shield surrounded the city of Sonkyung, and the people realized they couldn’t escape after feeling around for an invisible wall and slashing at it with their swords!
“Where are we… Who are we…?”
“A weird being can speak? What a powerful high-level monster. We need to finish this before tens of thousands die. Sonbaek Sword Examination warriors, draw your swords!”
“A monster that will kill tens of thousands… is that us…?”
Newly born Dark Elementals were grinning widely with their eyes wide open.
“Yeah, I like that.”
“I’m impressed.”
“Thanks for the info. As a thank you… I’ll make sure you’re the last to die.”
Oknodie was dismayed by the warriors spreading misinformation to the kids.
“Sadi. What if you can’t even manage your subordinates? My babies have turned weird!”
“Oh my. Are you treating them like real babies? While raising special <UwU> as well?”
“Well, they aren’t as special as my <UwU>. Those kids are made from mana brought from the Netherworld where Papa resides… they’re basically bastards?”
Chuckling at Oknodie’s unparalleled vocabulary, the old Omoshiroi, the Dragon Principal, found it amusing.
Seeing the situation in the city growing grave, Sing, annoyed by the scene, drew his sword to prevent the foundation papa’s illegitimate children from darkening further.
Such brazen actions were possible only because the deployment of the barrier had rendered the internal workings of Sonkyung invisible from the outside.
“You’re wrong. You’re not demon spirits that slaughter humans.”
“Then what are we?”
“You are… Oknodie’s younger sisters…”
“Younger sisters?”
“Older sister?”
“That person?”
Oknodie jumped back in shock at the sight of ghostly spirits floating in mid-air.
“Y-yeah…!”
“Older sister, we’re hungry.”
“Feed us.”
“Can we eat that?”
“If you don’t feed us, we’ll eat you!”
As chaos threatened to break out with the spirits, Oknodie provided them with sustenance.
By making Son Yo-Woon swing the magic sword!
“Here, eat this!”
As the power of dark evil struck the spirits, rather than being harmed, they absorbed the dark mana and grew from the size of a stray cat to that of a bear.
With bipedal limbs, short arms, and long necks, they nearly resembled dinosaurs.
“Sis. Why don’t we look like you?”
“Are you really our older sister?”
“Is that really you?”
The spirits that bore semblance to Oknodie but were shorter took on the form of the Mini Noddy Sisters.
“Sis. I’m full.”
“But there’s too much food. They keep gathering.”
“We’re struggling. We might get bigger than you.”
Oknodie quickly created more dark creatures.
With dark mana as the base, a gigantic beast fond of chomping down on all manner of creatures took flight.
Emerging from the creature’s body, dark tentacles grabbed the hidden evildoers scattered throughout the city, pulling them in and devouring them whole.
One of those tentacles grabbed a bunch of hair belonging to one of the Mini Noddy Sisters.
Maybe because they thought that as bastards they were at least of the same Papa.
Unknowingly, Oknodie unleashed a disc of mana and sliced off the dark tentacle.
“Are you trying to create a zoo? Fine, but at this rate, there’ll be more animals than residents!”
The city of Sonkyung was engulfed in a dark mana inflation.
Just like how a mad government produces infinite currency and crashes the economy, nature’s mana would misbalance if an infinite supply of the high-value foreign dark mana flowed in.
An estate imbued with restless mana opened and closed its windows at will; apples on the stalls escaped the baskets and rolled around the floor; stray dogs grew so big they matched thatched-roof houses!
Facing a major crisis, as humanity had to encounter the Eastern Demon Realm following the Northern Demon Realm, Oknodie finally thought of a solution.
“Seal! Hand me that sword!”
Suddenly appearing, Oknodie reached out, but Son Yo-Woon was not in a position to hand over the magic sword that easily.
“I don’t know who you are, but get out of the way… It’s a sword that can’t be wielded by a mere human…!”
“I’m not a human! So it’s okay!”
The player wasn’t talking about ‘here’, but about ‘there’, right?
Oknodie’s cheerful shout was interpreted as:
I’m not human.
The spirits bowed their heads.
The Mini Noddy Sisters took the form of Oknodie.
Son Yo-Woon’s intuition came to a terrifying conclusion.
“The Princess of Weird… has a royal lineage been born among the Weird?”
“Well, as a Dark Princess, it seems accurate!”
“I can never hand it to you!!”
“Huh?”
“If the sword that exhibits fearsome power is held by a weird creature, wouldn’t that spell the end of humanity?!”
A seriously mistaken misunderstanding!
Sing was even more frustrated as he emotionally connected to this blunder.
“Sadi!”
“Hehe. Well, that kid fought using our power, so they must be unable to defy our voice.”
Sadi spoke into Son Yo-Woon’s mind through the soul terminal.
-Trust her and hand over the sword to her.
-Just like you entrusted your body to the Fairy Swordplay, you must trust us this time too.
“Fairy Swordplay…? Was that the swordsmanship that helped defeat the head of the family earlier… the one used by the official troops…?”
Son Yo-Woon was terrified.
Like the head of the family who trusted an immortal and fell from grace, he was afraid his future could also fall if he trusted a fairy.
However, once he had that magic sword, there was no choice.
He had to trust the fairy that rescued him once before.
As he offered the magic sword, Oknodie quickly filled her bag with a scabbard.
Clang!
The scabbard, which was supposed to hold the sword with durability 1, shattered under the dark mana pouring back.
Crack!
The stone scabbard holding the sword also split in two.
Wiping tears as she lost two precious collections, Oknodie tossed her bag upside down.
With a loud crash!
In a scramble of items, she hurriedly drew runes, squeezing the holy power to obscure the connection to the Gate of Hell!
Items imbued with holy power are of high rank.
Watching high-ranking items lose their holy power in real-time and decline into shabby junk was heart-wrenching, but it was self-inflicted.
To close the Gate of Hell she had opened herself, she had to choose one holy power and use it to seal the gate.
“Which deity should I seek help from?”
As Oknodie was lost in thought, the alert windows from the observing gods poured down as they saw it as their opportunity.
[The God of Points, Mahabharata, says he will close the gate if you pay a hefty amount of points.]
[The Spirit God, First Wahyhiemhai, delights at the opportunity to play with his daughter, and tries to open the door even wider.]
[The Undead God, Professor Sadako, panics at the risk in the Middle Realm through his doting hands and holds onto the door trying to close it.]
…
…
…
[The God of Corruption, Anrage, whispers he could close the door if he corrupts the Mini Noddy Sisters.]
[The God of Love, Atalaxia, appeals that if you only look at her and not at any other god, she’ll close the door.]
[The Dragon Principal asks if it’d be okay to leave it alone since it seems entertaining.]
[Many gods are shocked at how naturally they have slipped into divine speech!]
The gods were eager to respond!
Among the numerous answers, Oknodie chose the one she liked best.
[A low-rank deity, a disciple of the Old God <Sakyamuni>, promises to guide millions with correct teachings if you close the gate.]
Having previously gained the three powers of the three teachings from the rewards of the Old God and summoned the Strength Marines to obliterate the Revolutionary with a single blow, Oknodie had her reasons for reaching out to the disciple of the one who helped her greatly.
“There’s nothing more fun than teaching a high-level old player!”
Plus, it had transformed into a perfect form of recreation!
With the chance to close the Gate of Hell basically for free, Oknodie quickly accepted the contract, and the low-rank deity <Sakyamuni's Disciple> closed the Gate of Hell, finally halting the downward spiral.
Although it meant the spiral had stopped, it didn’t imply that the city was back to normal.
The city where the Gate of Hell had closed was a sight to behold.
With inextinguishable darkness and vast dark mana summoning weird creatures, a horde of grotesque beasts providing new dark mana would devour you if caught by the Dark Tentacle Birds.
A semi-permanent weird ecosystem had been established, transforming the Northern Empire’s Sonkyung into a new Magical Territory.
