Hunter X Hunter, Reborn as a Kuruta Tribesmen

Chapter 79: Chapter 79

---

"How is this possible?!"

Hisoka was momentarily shocked. He had assumed that Kite was Rocky's teacher or perhaps some kind of mentor.

Although Rocky was also a Nen user, a child of his age would typically only be a beginner at best, with strength that wouldn't pose much of a threat. Hisoka had no interest in dealing with such a novice. However, the fact that Rocky had already mastered Nen at such a young age hinted that he could become a worthy opponent in the future.

In Hisoka's mind, Rocky was like a green, unripe apple.

But now...

Rocky's sudden outburst of such a terrifying level of Nen shattered Hisoka's perception entirely.

"Monster!" Hisoka exclaimed suddenly.

Hearing this, Rocky was momentarily speechless. *A monster? Really?*

Rocky estimated that his current Nen output was around 80,000 at most. After all, the modification process had only been ongoing for a few days. His Nen continued to grow steadily. If the modification were completed, with his Nen reaching 160,000, *that* would truly qualify as monstrous.

*Zizizizi!*

The Dragon King Sword, glowing like the sun above Rocky's head, emitted a harsh, grating sound due to its high-frequency rotation.

Rocky locked eyes with Hisoka.

There was an enigmatic glint in Rocky's otherwise calm gaze.

The next moment—

*Shua!*

The Dragon King Sword shot out instantly, leaving a streak of light-red energy in its wake as it tore through the air, aimed directly at Hisoka.

*So fast!*

Hisoka marveled at the speed, using his Bungee Gum to attach himself to the wall and increase his movement speed, narrowly dodging the attack.

The wind from the Dragon King Sword whistled past Hisoka's ears, leaving them ringing. As the weapon zipped past him, Hisoka could hear the unmistakable sound of mechanical transformations. The Dragon King Sword disassembled in mid-air, splitting into four daggers under Rocky's control.

Now in four parts, the daggers, each radiating a red glow, flew toward Hisoka from different directions.

Hisoka wasn't the only one stunned. Kite, too, stood in momentary disbelief.

*It can change form?!*

Kite's gaze followed the crimson light trails as the energy that had been concentrated in the sword now divided evenly among the four daggers. Despite this division, their speed and power remained extraordinary.

*Swish!*

Four consecutive wind-slicing sounds filled the air. The first dagger cut off Hisoka's retreat, forcing him to change his evasion path.

Hisoka's Bungee Gum failed to provide any advantage. He couldn't rely solely on his speed to escape Rocky's coordinated assault.

The second and third daggers closed in simultaneously, their timing and rhythm impeccably executed.

In a desperate move, Hisoka used his Nen to attach himself to the wall, twisting his body mid-air in a remarkable display of flexibility and creativity. He managed to evade both daggers by a hair's breadth.

"A genius in combat," Rocky muttered, his eyes narrowing as he observed Hisoka's maneuver.

Kite, too, couldn't help but admire Hisoka's ingenuity. Without such a bold move, Hisoka would have been seriously injured—if not killed—by now.

With the first three daggers dodged, the fourth came slicing upward from below.

Hisoka swiftly drew a playing card and struck at the approaching dagger with all his might.

This time, however—

*Snap!*

The dagger cleaved the card in two effortlessly. The force of Hisoka's Nen-infused card, though, managed to alter the dagger's trajectory, causing it to graze past his arm.

Hisoka's clothes were sliced cleanly, but his body remained unscathed.

Landing lightly on his feet, Hisoka glanced down at the neatly cut fabric on his arm.

His eyes flickered with disbelief.

*How... is this possible?*

*Bang! Bang! Bang!*

The four daggers regrouped in mid-air, reforming into the Dragon King Sword. It began spinning at high speed once again, its edge gleaming with destructive energy.

Without hesitation, the sword shot downward.

*Swish!*

Hisoka leaped backward just in time.

Under Rocky's gaze, the Dragon King Sword sank into the ground instantly, cutting through the concrete floor as though it were nothing more than tofu.

The immense force caused deep cracks to spiderweb outward across the ground.

The sword plunged into the earth, drilling a path 100 meters deep in an instant. Hisoka's disbelief grew as he took in the sheer power of the attack.

*What kind of Nen ability is this?!*

Could an attack possess such overwhelming destructive force?

"This kid…" Hisoka thought, narrowing his eyes. "He must be an Emitter or a Manipulator. Judging by the intensity of his nen energy and his ability to easily slice through my cards, he's likely more inclined toward a Emitter."

While Hisoka was lost in thought, he suddenly felt something cold press against the back of his head.

*Oops!!!*

Hisoka froze, momentarily stunned. In focusing solely on Rocky, he had completely forgotten about the other skilled opponent in the room.

*One versus two!*

There was no chance of winning—especially with one opponent wielding the versatile combination of a Transmuter's high adaptability and the ability to materialize attacks. This blend of Nen types could counter nearly any other category.

Raising his hands slowly, Hisoka sighed in mock resignation.

"I surrender, I surrender!"

Kite smirked. "You're very strong. In a one-on-one fight, the outcome would be hard to predict."

However, as Kite spoke, Rocky's eyes suddenly narrowed. Without warning, four flying daggers burst up from the ground, aiming directly at Hisoka.

"If you try any more tricks," Rocky said coldly, "these daggers will pierce your heart, brain, spine, and throat."

Rocky's words made Hisoka let out another exaggerated sigh.

"Ah, ah! Caught again, huh?" Hisoka's lips curled into a wry smile. "What a terrifying little ghost—such sharp observation skills, paired with that overwhelming Nen!"

Feigning surrender, Hisoka canceled his frivolous act. A playing card, seemingly tossed harmlessly from his hand, was actually tethered to the ground by his Bungee Gum.

Hisoka's plan was simple—eliminate Kite first, then focus on dealing with Rocky.

But Rocky had already seen through the ruse.

Kite, startled, hadn't noticed Hisoka's subtle movements. If not for Rocky, he might have been in real danger. Both men knew all too well how a single attack in the world of Nen users could prove fatal.

"Kite!"

Rocky's voice snapped Kite out of his thoughts. He turned toward Rocky, his gun still trained on Hisoka.

"Let him go."

Kite blinked, momentarily stunned. However, he didn't argue. Silently, he lowered his weapon and took a step back.

Hisoka looked at Rocky, puzzled. "What's the meaning of this?"

Rocky smiled faintly. "Nothing. Didn't you say you surrendered? Or are you changing your mind and refusing to admit it? Don't push your luck."

As he spoke, Rocky's aura flared once more. His oppressive Nen filled the space, making the atmosphere suffocating.

Hisoka's expression twisted in shock.

*This... This isn't even his full power?*

The overwhelming force of Rocky's Nen was far beyond anything Hisoka had anticipated.

*Where did this monster come from?!*

One against two—Hisoka realized he stood no chance of victory.

Looking up at Rocky, he asked, "So, you're not going to kill me?"

"I have no such intention," Rocky replied calmly.

"Oh~" Hisoka's lips curled into a mischievous grin. "If you're not planning to kill me, I'll take my leave."

"Please, do as you please."

Hisoka hesitated for a moment. The situation felt... odd. Why wasn't Rocky demanding anything of him? Why let him go so easily?

But Hisoka wasn't about to question his fortune. A loser had no right to ask questions.

As he turned to leave, Hisoka cast one last look at Rocky and Kite.

*Next time... I'll face them one-on-one.*
