Chapter 471: Chapter 472: Princess Syalis Lacks a Pillow
Princess Syalis looked at the large bed in front of her, satisfaction written all over her face.
The wood's rich aroma delighted her senses.
There was no denying it—Princess Syalis's craftsmanship was truly remarkable. In a surprisingly short time, she had created a stunning bed adorned with intricate patterns. If, one day, Princess Syalis could no longer be a princess, her skill could easily make her a renowned furniture designer.
However, when Princess Syalis lay on her newly crafted bed, she tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.
"I can fall asleep in the kingdom in ten seconds—why can't I sleep now?"
Frustrated, Princess Syalis furiously crumpled the pillow she had casually grabbed from a nearby room. At first, she hadn't thought much of it, but now that she used it, a glaring issue became evident.
"This pillow's quality is horrible! It's rough and not soft at all!"
For a moment, Princess Syalis seemed to have an epiphany. Clenching her tiny fists in excitement, she exclaimed, "I get it now! A good bed needs good bedding!"
She looked like Columbus discovering the New World as she mulled over how to get a perfect pillow.
"For the fabric, I can use this… but what about the stuffing?"
Clutching the pillowcase, Princess Syalis wandered the halls silently, her eyes scanning for inspiration. Then, she spotted something that made her stop in her tracks—a flash of white caught her eye.
It was a small, adorable girl, as cute as Princess Syalis herself, but what truly captivated her was the ten pairs of pristine white wings gently fluttering on the girl's back.
——
Gabriel sighed, shaking her angelic wings. "Ugh, it's been ages since I cleaned these. Such a pain."
Gabriel, the fallen angel, was notoriously lazy, especially since coming to Alexander's place. She spent most of her time indoors, playing games and barely stepping out except for meals.
Alexander, exasperated by her behavior, often scolded her, but Gabriel paid no attention. In fact, she had pulled another all-nighter playing 'The Legend of Zelda'.
Yawning, Gabriel shuffled into the bathroom, clearly exhausted. However, not far behind her, a small figure followed, its bright red eyes gleaming with mischief while thinking;
'Angel wings! They would make the perfect stuffing for a luxurious pillow!'
Quietly trailing behind Gabriel, Princess Syalis stretched out her sneaky little hand.
The bathhouse was a hot spring specially constructed by Alexander. Though designed for relaxation, Alexander was often away, leaving it as a paradise for the girls.
"So comfortable…"
Gabriel let out a contented sigh, sinking into the hot spring and closing her eyes. Before long, she drifted into a deep sleep.
As Gabriel slept soundly, a tiny, wicked hand reached out toward her wings…
---
Meanwhile, Alexander emerged from his studio, stretching his arms.
"Ugh, I haven't worked this hard in ages. Even with a clone to help, that was exhausting," he muttered.
Deciding he deserved a break, he headed toward the bathhouse.
"I haven't been there in a while. A soak sounds great," he said to himself.
However, as he entered the men's bath and began undressing, a sudden scream erupted from the adjacent bathhouse.
"Ahhh!!!"
Alexander instantly recognized Gabriel's voice.
"No! Gabriel's in trouble!"
He bolted to the next room. Bursting in, Alexander was greeted by an unexpected sight.
In the center of the bath, a petite figure flailed frantically. The scene could only be described as picturesque, but Alexander's attention was quickly drawn to the real issue.
Behind Gabriel, her angelic wings flapped weakly. The once-beautiful, soft white feathers were… gone. Now, they resembled plucked chicken wings.
Alexander couldn't contain himself. "Pfft!" he burst out laughing.
"Gabriel, your wings… hahahaha! Why are there no feathers?!"
Gabriel turned bright red, trembling with rage. "I lost all my feathers, and you're laughing at me?! You call yourself human?!"
Alexander's laughter only grew louder as Gabriel shouted furiously.
