Chapter 372: Chapter 373: A Beauty Trap? A Clever Solution!

"What should we do? Alexander is too unpredictable. How are we supposed to handle him?"

"Handle him? Why not capture him and force him to hand over his secrets?"

"Sure, you go ahead and try. If you think you're tougher than that meteorite he just obliterated, be my guest."

"But we have powerful weapons! Missiles, cannons, fighter jets, and—"

"And what? Alexander has access to the kind of technology you only see in anime: laser cannons, mechs, androids, and a plethora of futuristic gadgets. Think those weapons of ours stand a chance?"

"Exactly! And we only have one shot. If we fail… well, let's just say we might as well prepare to meet Amaterasu-sama."

The room fell silent. Everyone knew the grim truth—they had no idea how strong Alexander truly was. What if he was invincible, or worse, immortal? For a while, the atmosphere was tense, until someone's eyes lit up with inspiration.

"If we can't defeat him… why don't we try to win him over?"

"Win him over? And how exactly do you propose we do that?"

"What about… a beauty trap?"

"A beauty trap? That's ridiculous! Alexander could just draw stunningly beautiful women for himself if he wanted to. How would that work?"

"Who says it wouldn't work? We still have plenty of remarkable beauties in our world!"

"Like who?"

"Take Fujiwara Chika, for example, from the political Fujiwara family. Isn't she absolutely gorgeous? And if that's not enough, we have other prominent ladies too—like Suzuki Sonoko or Shinomiya Kaguya from powerful entrepreneurial families. Don't think those big conglomerates are unaware of what's happening in the world right now. They'll definitely seize any opportunity to win Alexander over."

The speaker paused for effect, then added:

"And don't forget Spencer! His daughter, Eri Sawamura, seems to have a good relationship with Alexander. That man is sure to make a move as well."

(Fujiwara Chika: From a political dynasty. She is the great-granddaughter of a former Prime Minister, her uncle is the current provincial minister, and her mother serves as a diplomat.

Eri Sawamura: Daughter of a British diplomat stationed in Japan.)

For a moment, the room was silent once more. Seriously? They thought.

Alexander had it all: overwhelming strength, unshakable composure, stunning looks, and even wealth. To top it off, powerful families were lining up to back him. This wasn't just intimidating—it was downright demoralizing.

If only Alexander had been one of their own countrymen, things might have been simpler. But he wasn't. And no one dared to provoke him or send him away.

With heavy hearts and reluctant acceptance, the room reached a consensus.

"Beauty traps it is. Even if we can't fully win him over, we can at least keep him appeased for now. Because if we make him unhappy and he comes back here with that bizarre sword of his… well, let's just say none of us are making it out alive."

They exchanged knowing glances. From this moment onward, one thing was clear: Alexander was now the de facto authority in this city.

"Why did it have to be our city?" one of them muttered under their breath. "Why couldn't Alexander have shown up somewhere else?"

"How are we supposed to function with someone like him looming over us?"

With a sigh, their leader made the final call.

"Fine. Spread the word: from now on, in City H… anything related to Alexander must be handled with the utmost respect. Let him have his way in everything."

"What choice do we have?" someone replied grimly.

And with that, their fate was sealed.

Alexander had no idea that his appearance was causing some people to pull their hair out in frustration. But what could they do? This world thrived on strength.

The law of the jungle was an eternal truth, no matter the world.

At this moment, Alexander remained blissfully unaware of the ripple effects his recent actions had caused.

Now, he was accompanying Utaha to a comic exhibition.

Alexander certainly had a big heart.

He had just finished slicing a meteorite in half and yet still had the leisure to enjoy a day out.

And then there were these attendees.

Having barely escaped death, they still found the time to visit a comic exhibition?

Of course, Alexander didn't know the full story. Initially, many of these people had been too scared to show up. However, someone mentioned that this exhibition was a hotspot for "descendants" to appear. In no time, the venue became crowded with curious visitors and enthusiasts.

"Thankfully, this is a comic exhibition, so wearing a mask is normal. Otherwise, I'd have been swallowed up by this crowd already."

Looking at the bustling exhibition center, Alexander adjusted the butterfly mask on his face. He silently hoped it would be enough to conceal his unmistakable aura.

Standing beside Alexander, Utaha flashed a sweet smile.

At first, she assumed Alexander wouldn't agree to accompany her given everything that had just happened. Yet, to her surprise, here they were. The fact that Alexander was willing to attend the comic exhibition with her warmed her heart—proof, she felt, that she held a special place in his life.

"Not bad. I think it suits you," Utaha said as she tightened the mask on Alexander's face. She, too, worried he might be mobbed by the sea of people.

If they had been enemies, no matter how many thousands—or even hundreds of thousands—were present, Alexander could have sent them all to meet their maker in an instant. But the problem was…

These people weren't hostile. On the contrary, they were Alexander's fans.

This made things tricky. He couldn't exactly start beating them up just because they liked him.

It was in this moment Alexander decided: he needed to come up with better ways to go out in public in the future.

Who would have thought that after staying hidden for so many years, his identity would finally be exposed?
