He's Special To Me

Chapter 7: Chapter 6

Chapter 6

Writer: Thank you for reading 'He's Special To Me'.

A little information for readers. Ghosts can touch each other so can these special ones.

However, these special ones can only touch ghosts chosen for them to help.

Also, ghosts can't touch humans but they can touch their special ones. That's to say, ghosts who don't have special ones can't touch humans.

However, there's still a way for ghosts (Who don't have special ones) to touch humans. But taking that route is very dangerous.

Ghosts who have no knowledge of this can't and also believe they cannot touch humans.

************

The sun was setting and the time was around five pm getting to six. Of course, both Hae Jin and Sung-Yoon have no idea of this because there's no clock or watch in the house.

The two stood before the large transparent glass window, watching Tae Jin who stood in front of the entrance gate of the house, holding hands with a young lady whom they thought might be his mother.

She was furious, berating Tae Jin for running off without seeking permission or informing her, but they didn't know this cause they couldn't hear. They only saw her furiously saying something.

Suddenly, they turned to their direction, and then looked back at each other and the lady said something they didn't hear.

They still had no idea of who the lady was because Tae Jin didn't share but he did share how she found him.

Tae Jin had said she must have found his whereabouts because of the tracking device in the old watch he wore. Smart people and their smart ways to handle a troublesome child.

Anyways, the lady looked nothing like Tae Jin and they wondered if she was really his mother.

They watched as the two began to leave, still holding hands and Tae Jin glanced back at Hae Jin one last time, waving at him with that sweet and innocent smile. Hae Jin waved back, returning the smile until they were out of sight.

*Sigh, Sung-Yoon sighed, walking over to the seat Hae Jin (And Tae Jin) sat on earlier and took a seat on the dirty floor once again.

"Ah, So tired" Hae Jin said, walking to the couch (He sat on earlier) and taking a seat. He looked at Sung-Yoon, confused, why was she seated on the dirty floor when there were two other empty couches.

Did she like sitting on the floor that much?

"Why are you seated on the floor?" He asked, earning a glare from Sung-Yoon, "Oh, you realize that now? I've been sitting here" she pointed on the floor "Ever since I came! And you realize now?"

"Oh, sorry"

"So?"

"Were you waiting for me to give you a seat?"

"Are you trying to annoy me even more? If so, it is working"

"Please take a seat" Sung-Yoon clicked her tongue annoyingly, getting up from the dirty floor. Brushing her butt and shoulder as if her clothes were dirty from spending too much time on the dirty floor before taking a seat on the couch beside the one Hae Jin sat on.

"Sung-Yoon" Sung-Yoon looked at him, still feeling annoyed as she asked, "What?"

"I didn't tell you this before but I....... While I was experiencing the headache earlier, some memories were playing in my mind. And it was a lot" Sung-Yoon’s eyes widened in shock.

How come Hae Jin didn't inform her earlier?

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?!"

"I'm sorry, I was also confused" He was and that was why he said nothing about it until now. Even now, he didn't know why he decided to share this news.

It left his lips before he could even think about it.

"So, what did you see?"

"I don't know, it wasn't completely clear and the memories were all over the place"

"I see. It has something to do with your past"

"I think so too. But I do remember something. I remember clearly the faces of two people. A young man and a young woman. Maybe at the same age as me (24, the age he died) or maybe older. They were smiling but, I actually couldn't see their faces clearly but one thing is right, they were smiling at me. They even called out my name, Hae Jin"

"Then, do you think they're your brother and sister? Maybe your friends?"

"I don't know Sung-Yoon, but I want to know more"

"Do you really?" Sung-Yoon raised a brow in question. Not convinced with what he said.

"Of course I do. Why do you ask?"

"I can't believe that Hae Jin. If you really do, then why did you send the kid away without finding out if he really is your special one?"

"I......I just couldn't bring myself to. I was scared to find out. What if he isn't. And also, if he really is, I think, I don't want to get involved with him. From what you told me, being my special one meant I was going to use him."

Seriously? Hae Jin and his 'what if'? He never thought positively! What the heck was up with that?!

"And anyway, he's just a kid. He won't be able to help me"

"Oh, wow, I didn't know he would stay a kid forever," Sung-Yoon said sarcastically.

"Even so........" Sung-Yoon cut off his words before he could continue.

"Listen to me Hae Jin, don't you think there's a reason why God chose particular people as our special ones? Don't you think maybe God chose those people from the billions in this world because they could handle it? Gosh! They were literally born to handle this responsibility!"

"Is a huge responsibility! What if he doesn't want to? I'll only become a burden on him. Is best he never finds out in the first place"

"Is this one of the reasons why you didn't tell him you're a ghost? Were you afraid he would leave you?" Yeah, that was one of the reasons even though he didn't want to admit to himself.

He must have found the kid annoying at first, but the time they spent together afterwards gave him so much relief, hope and happiness. He really enjoyed spending time with the kid, talking about cartoons, animes that just aired. About what he did in school, his friends.

He really had fun. It made him feel alive, like a human.

He wanted to spend more time with him.

After all, who knew, what would happen if the kid found out he was a ghost?

"Listen to me Hae Jin, I understand what you're going through. You've always wanted to feel alive (During Hae Jin's time as a ghost), feel like you're human again and that kid made it possible. I understand but as a ghost, you don't feel anything towards humans. You can't fall in love"

"What are you talking about?! He's a kid!" That's his concern? Not the fact that the kid was human and male? Well, not that she had any problem with man-man relationship. Two of her best friends were gay after all. And the other two girls were lesbians. One could say she was the only straight one among her friends.

"Right, and he will grow pretty quick and turn into a gorgeous being everyone desperately wants. I can even imagine how girls will crowd over him"

"Yeah, you're kind of right. The kid have the face of someone who will grow to be gorgeous, stunning, a player and a heartbreaker"

"Yes, Yes Yes"

Wait, what the heck were they talking about?!! Where did the serious atmosphere from earlier go?!!!!

Bring it back!

Bring the serious atmosphere back!!!!!

Hae Jin yelled to me (The writer) in mind but I ignored him.

Why? Because he's disrespectful and....

'Shut up'

See! This is what I am talking about.

'Shut up'

Fine! This chapter ends here.

*Sigh, gosh, I want to kill all these characters.

'I'm sorry did you say something?'

'Nothing beautiful Sung-Yoon'

'You did. It did Sung-Yoon'

No, I didn't. Wait.... Did you just refer to me as 'it'?
