Chapter 11: CH 10
A year had passed since Vegeta's pod vanished, his threats a faint echo. I'd started at 217,000, but that wouldn't do. I hauled Goku and Raditz to Kami's Lookout, into the Room of Spirit and Time. One day out here, a year in there. Gravity hit hard, time dragged slow, and we sparred 'til we bled. Dad held at seven thousand, pure Saiyan strength, no Kaio-ken, no death to push him further. Raditz scraped up to 10,000, grumbling through every punch. I walked out at 700,000, power a deep fire in my bones, built in that brutal chamber. Gohan stayed home with books, Mom's rules, but I knew it.
Trouble would come only a matter of time.
When factored in the room of spirit and time i was technically 7 now and one year older than Gohan.
The sky cracked on a quiet afternoon, two streaks ripping through the clouds. Space pods slammed into West City's outskirts, craters smoking. I felt them before they hit—two ki signatures, strong but rough, 15,000, maybe 20,000 each. Not Saiyans. Unknowns. My fists clenched, power ready. Time to shut this down.
"Dad," I said, sharp, stepping outside. "We've got trouble."
He poked his head out, rice bowl in hand, grinning. "Huh? More visitors? That's fun!" He dropped the bowl, Mom's shout ringing out as we launched, Raditz lumbering behind.
The pods hissed open as we landed, dust settling around two figures. One was fat, pink, spiked like a cactus. The other was lean, green-haired, smug and smooth. Their armor shone, marked with an odd symbol. They stepped out, sizing us up like we were nothing.
The fat one cracked his knuckles, voice a growl. "So this is Earth? Lord Frieza's got a message for you trash."
The green-haired one chuckled, tossing his hair. "Surrender, or we burn this rock to ash. Where's Vegeta?"
I stepped forward, power steady, voice cold. "Don't know him. You're done."
The fat one laughed, loud and rough. "Done? This kid's got guts! I'll snap you in half—"
I moved. One step, fist through his chest, a wet crunch, blood spraying. He dropped, eyes blank, dead before he fell.
The green-haired one froze, mouth opening. Too slow. My elbow smashed his skull, a sharp crack, brains spilling as he hit the dirt, gone.
Two seconds, Two bodies, both of freizas lackeys dead.
Dad's jaw dropped, then he stepped up, voice hard. "Gotex! What was that? You killed 'em! We don't just kill people like that!"
I wiped blood off my fist, calm. "They're cold-blooded psychos, Dad. They'd slaughter us all. No point talking."
He clenched his fists, eyes narrow. "That's not right! We could've stopped 'em some other way! I raised you better than this!"
Raditz smirked, kicking the fat one's corpse. "Calm down, Kakarot. The kid's got it right. These are Frieza's top dogs—Dodoria and Zarbon. Psycho killers. Dodoria smashes heads for kicks; Zarbon's all smiles 'til he cuts you open. They'd have wiped us out laughing."
Dad frowned, scratching his head. "Frieza? Hold on… you told me about him before, Raditz. That ruthless guy who runs everything, right? Kinda like the Red Ribbon Army, but way worse—killing folks for fun, taking over planets?"
Raditz nodded, grim. "Yeah. Frieza's a monster. Stronger than Vegeta by a long shot. These two were his favorites. Cold-blooded, like the kid said."
Dad's frown eased, then he nodded slow. "Huh. If they're Frieza's, then… yeah, they're evil. Like those Red Ribbon guys—pure bad news. Guess it's okay, Gotex. They sounded real nasty from what Raditz said."
"Worse than nasty," I said, cool. "Killers. No mercy needed."
Piccolo landed, arms crossed, smirking. "That was fast. Clean kills, kid. Who were these two?"
Raditz pointed at the bodies. "Dodoria, the fat one. Zarbon, the slick one. They're Frieza's enforcers. Psycho trash through and through."
Krillin flew in, landing with a stumble, eyes wide. "Whoa, Gotex! You took 'em out just like that? Didn't even see it happen!"
Yamcha sauntered up, grinning wide. "Well, damn, squirt! That was quick and nasty. I'm impressed—and that's sayin' something from the Yamcha-man!"
Tien touched down with Chiaotzu, voice dry. "Unlike your usual fights, Yamcha. These were Frieza's men? That means trouble's on the way."
Gohan ran up, panting a little. "Gotex, you got 'em so fast! Are there more coming after these guys?"
"Yeah," I said, voice steady. "Bigger fight. These were just scouts."
Dad scratched his head, calmer now. "Frieza, huh? Guess we'll find out how bad he really is."
Raditz growled low. "Bad doesn't even start it. He's a nightmare. Dodoria and Zarbon were only the beginning."
The pods smoked, bodies sprawled in the dirt. That year in the chamber with Dad and Raditz had paid off big. Didn't know them 'til Raditz explained, but they were dead now. Frieza'd come next, with Vegeta, broken. This was the spark.
Piccolo's eyes narrowed, thoughtful. "If he's worse than Vegeta, we're in for a rough time."
"It's about control," I said. "He'll want Vegeta. Us too. These two were bait."
Krillin rubbed his neck, nervous. "Bait? They didn't even last a second! What's Frieza gonna be like if these were his guys?"
Yamcha flexed, still grinning. "Doesn't matter! Squirt's got this—he'll smash Frieza too!"
Tien shook his head, serious. "Don't count on it. If Frieza's as big as Raditz says, we're in deep trouble."
West City hummed in the distance, blind to the craters. I scanned the sky, power coiled. Frieza's ship was out there, Vegeta leashed, humiliated. Dodoria and Zarbon's deaths would hit hard. He'd land soon, out for blood. I'd be ready.
We dragged the bodies home, Mom shrieking. "Goku! Dead aliens in my yard? What now?!"
"Aw, Chi-Chi, relax!" Dad laughed, steady again. "Gotex got 'em! They're Frieza's guys—evil ones!"
"Frieza?" she snapped. "More trouble? Get them out!"
Raditz smirked. "Fat one's uglier dead. Frieza's gonna lose it."
I dropped the green-haired corpse. "He will. Ship's up ahead and i sense vegetas ki signature."
Dad nodded. "Vegeta's back? Let's see what Frieza's got in store."
Piccolo snorted. "If he's worse than Vegeta, we're running out of time."
A week later, it hit. The sky darkened, a huge shadow swallowing the sun. Frieza's ship landed in the plains outside West City, a spiked disc settling. The hatch opened, and out came the Ginyu Force: five freaks posing—Guldo, Recoome, Burter, Jeice, Captain Ginyu. Behind them, Vegeta, armor scratched, head low, chained at the neck. Frieza floated out last, small, horned, tail flicking, his power a cold wall, dwarfing them all.
Dad blinked. "Whoa, that's a big ship! Vegeta's back!"
Raditz growled. "Leashed like a dog. Ginyu Force did that. Frieza's pet now."
Piccolo tensed up. "So that's Frieza? He's small, but that power… it's unreal."
Krillin gulped hard. "Yeah, I can feel it! We're in big trouble!"
Yamcha smirked. "What's with the circus act? They gonna dance us to death?"
Tien scowled. "They're strong. Vegeta's broken. Frieza's the real threat."
Vegeta growled, fists clenched tight. "You'll regret this, Frieza. Every one of you."
Raditz spat, glaring at the Ginyu Force. "These clowns? I'll tear 'em apart."
I stayed still, power caged, a faint smirk tugging my lips. Frieza's eyes skimmed us, bored, missing the truth. The Z Fighters spread out beside me, their strength suppressed too—Piccolo at 5,000, Krillin and the rest scraping lower. He'd wait 'til his pawns dropped. That's when I'd move.
The plains exploded as Frieza's army rushed out—hundreds of grunts, armor clanking, power levels from 1,000 to 5,000, a snarling tide of ki blasts and fists. Piccolo cracked his neck, smirking. "This is just trash. Let's sweep it clean and get to the real fight."
Krillin swallowed hard, fists up, voice steadying. "There's a ton of 'em, but we've handled worse. Let's keep 'em off us."
Yamcha grinned, stepping forward. "Finally, something I can take! Time to show these losers what I'm made of!"
Tien planted his feet, voice calm. "Don't get cocky, Yamcha. Numbers can still wear us down. Stay sharp."
Chiaotzu floated up beside him, small but firm. "I'll watch your back, Tien. We'll cut through together."
The Z Fighters charged into the swarm, a free-for-all kicking off. Piccolo waded in, fists smashing grunts left and right, bones snapping as he carved a bloody lane. "They're sloppy. Too many to be smart." He fired a ki blast, blasting a cluster into the dirt, bodies piling up.
Krillin darted through, dodging a wild swing, then unleashed a ki disc, slicing through three soldiers, armor splitting. "Gotta keep moving! They're everywhere!" He ducked another hit, blasting back, dropping more.
Yamcha weaved in, landing quick jabs, grinning as he floored a grunt. "See? I've still got it! These guys are nothing!" He took a punch to the arm, grunted, then kicked back, sending his attacker sprawling. "Okay, maybe not nothing."
Tien stood solid, blasting a ki wave through a pack, then turned to Chiaotzu. "Stay close. They're weak individually, but they keep coming." Chiaotzu nodded, firing small ki bursts, picking off stragglers as they closed in.
Frieza yawned, smirking from his chair. "How tedious. My army's cannon fodder, but they'll soften you up. Ginyu, entertain me. Take the Saiyans."
Ginyu saluted, grinning wide. "Yes, Lord Frieza! Ginyu Force, let's show 'em how it's done!" He pointed at Dad and Raditz. "You two! You're our dance partners!"
Dad grinned back, bouncing on his toes. "Oh, awesome! You guys look tough! Let's have a good fight!"
Raditz snarled, fists tight. "Tough? They're fools. I'll break that purple freak myself."
Recoome lumbered forward, flexing, teeth flashing. "Recoome's gonna pound you into the ground, Saiyan runts!"
Burter smirked, blue and tall. "Fastest in the universe, mate. You won't keep up."
Jeice laughed, red hair bouncing. "Too right, Burter! We'll clean 'em up fast!"
Guldo waddled up, wheezing. "I'll stop time and rip 'em open! Easy pickings!"
Dad charged Ginyu, fist swinging, meeting a block with a loud clang. "Whoa, you're quick, horn-head! This is gonna be fun!" Ginyu smirked, slamming an elbow into Dad's gut, but Dad rolled with it, kicking back, a solid thud sending Ginyu sliding.
Raditz lunged at Recoome, fist cracking his jaw with a snap. "Big and stupid! Stay down!" Recoome roared, swinging wild, but Raditz ducked, kneeing his ribs, armor buckling with a crunch.
Burter blurred at Dad, a blue streak, but Dad sidestepped, tripping him with a quick leg sweep. "Fast, huh? Gotta be faster than that!" Burter hit the dirt hard, cursing as he scrambled up.
Jeice fired a red ki blast at Raditz, who dodged, snarling. "Cheap trick, pretty boy!" He charged, elbow smashing Jeice's chest, knocking him flat with a grunt.
Guldo puffed, hands up. "Time stop!" The air froze for a heartbeat, but Dad broke free, fist slamming Guldo's face with a wet crunch. "Nice try, short stuff!" Guldo crumpled, out cold.
I stood back, power suppressed, watching the chaos. Frieza's army swarmed, a mess of bodies and blasts. The Z Fighters held their ground, cutting through grunts like wheat. Dad and Raditz brawled with the Ginyu Force, fists flying, ground shaking. Frieza lounged, eyes half-lidded, missing it all—my strength, Dad's, everyone's. He'd wait 'til his toys broke. I'd let him.
Piccolo grabbed a grunt by the neck, slamming him down, dust bursting. "They're thinning out. We're almost through this garbage."
Krillin panted, blasting a soldier back, wiping sweat. "Good! I'm getting tired of these guys. They just don't quit!"
Yamcha ducked a punch, landing a quick kick, grinning. "Told ya I've got this! We're mowing 'em down!" He winced as a stray blast grazed his shoulder, then punched back harder.
Tien fired a ki wave, clearing a knot of grunts, then glanced at Chiaotzu. "They're slowing. Keep it up—we're close." Chiaotzu nodded, blasting a straggler, keeping pace.
Frieza tapped his chair, smirking. "Still kicking, are they? Vegeta, your Saiyan friends are stubborn. Weak, but stubborn."
Vegeta glared, voice low. "That one's not weak, Frieza. The quiet one—he beat me. Don't be a fool."
Frieza laughed, sharp and cold. "A child? Please. My Ginyu Force will crush them. I'll step in when I'm bored of the show."
Dad traded blows with Ginyu, fists clashing with booms, grinning. "You're good, purple guy! Been a while since I fought someone this strong!" Ginyu landed a kick, sending Dad skidding, but he bounced back, laughing.
