God Level Farmer In Another World

Chapter 112: Chapter 112: Jonathan - Is Welma Going to Confess to Me?

Chapter 112: Jonathan - Is Welma Going to Confess to Me?

Seven masked individuals stood silently on the road, unaffected by Sophia's brother's words. They stood unmoving, letting the evening breeze sway the edges of their garments.

Sophia's brother thought to himself, "Could these be robbers? These scoundrels picked the wrong person to mess with."

Pointing at the masked figures, he cursed, "You fools! I don't have time to waste on you. Get lost!"

The seven masked figures stood there like puppets.

Inside the car, Mr. Max grew impatient and said to the chauffeur, "Charles, go take care of these bandits quickly so we can continue our journey!"

After all, the one who drives for an elder of the Moon Worship Cult and Sophia's brother couldn't be an ordinary person. This driver was also a skilled C-rank fighter.

The driver respectfully replied, "Yes!"

The driver exited the car, his fingers wrapped in a shimmering blue light, and lunged toward the seven masked men. "Brothers, you're really holding us up!"

Just as the driver was about to touch one of the masked men with a creepy smile, the man moved. In an instant, a dagger pierced the driver's neck.

The man with the eerie smile only moved his hand, his body maintaining its previous posture. Blood sprayed onto his white suit, adding a macabre shade to the pale mask.

The driver staggered and collapsed straight to the ground.

Sophia's brother was immediately terrified. This driver, a skilled C-rank fighter, was killed instantly? That eerie-smiling man in the white suit didn't simply stab him. That dagger held some kind of supernatural power!

In the car, the elders widened their eyes. The brief pulse of energy they sensed told them that this masked man in the white suit was an A-rank!

The bald elder cursed under his breath, "What's going on in Bluewater City? Where did all these monsters come from? Just hope that this masked man isn't as freakish as Welma. Get ready to fight."

Mr. Max sighed, "These seven people are strange. The depths of Bluewater City are unfathomable. Could there be some supernatural organization hiding here?"

Mr. Max's thoughts drifted back to the day he asked Sophia's brother about the massacre at the Divine family mansion. Sophia's brother had said that the Bluewater City Martial Affairs Captain suspected multiple B-rank attackers were responsible.

Mr. Max hadn't believed it then. But now, what was he seeing in front of him? Could these seven masked men be the true culprits of the Divine family massacre?

"We might really be targeted by a certain faction."

Mr. Max opened his mouth to discuss this with the other elders, but they had already exited the car. Their spiritual energy was nearly exhausted, and they were injured. They just wanted to eliminate these masked men quickly and return to the North Sea to recuperate.

Mr. Max sighed, opened the car door, and followed the elders.

The white-haired elder displayed the demeanor of a strong figure, cupping his hands toward the masked men and politely asking, "I am Henry of the Moon Worship Cult. May I ask what guidance you have for us?"

The white-haired elder spoke politely. All six of them were in poor condition, so if there was a chance to talk and resolve things peacefully, that would be ideal.

However, the man with the eerie smile didn't share his mindset. The smiling man cupped his hands in return and responded in a sinister tone, "Mercenary Guild. Starving Ghost. At your service!"

With that, he twirled his dagger in a flourish and lunged at the white-haired elder.

The white-haired elder snorted angrily, "I thought you were young, so I didn't want to kill you. But since you're seeking death, you can't blame me!"

Half an hour later, the road was gone, turned into thick, swampy mud. Sophia's brother was halfway submerged. His face was pale, clawing desperately at his throat, leaving bloody scratches, like a fish gasping for water.

Sophia's brother could no longer breathe, his throat filled with sand. His eyes were wide with terror, fixed straight ahead.

The smiling man in the white mask was stepping on Mr. Max's head. Around Mr. Max lay the other elders. Those esteemed guests of the Divine family were now lifeless, sprawled weakly across the swamp.

Sophia's brother was filled with despair. In the end, he didn't even know who killed him. His terror-filled eyes were gradually buried by the swamp.

With his last breath, Mr. Max asked, "Who… are you?"

The man called Yamato paused his dagger, saying mockingly, "Maximilian? Haven't you been searching for the culprits behind the Divine family massacre? Congratulations. You found us."

Mr. Max was no longer surprised by this answer. He only regretted not listening to the Bluewater City Martial Affairs Captain. If he had reported this to the sect earlier, tonight's events might never have happened.

But in this world, there is no medicine for regret.

Yamato's dagger mercilessly plunged into Mr. Max's neck.

The crimson blood was quickly swallowed by the swamp.

Yamato's eyes flashed with disdain: "These worthless fools dare to trespass on the domain of the gods!"

Several of the soul-hunters remained silent, quietly tidying up the battlefield.

The six elders' bodies were loaded onto a truck.

The Swamp Maiden moved her fingers, and the swamp began to devour the evidence from the ground.

Even the Divine family's business car was buried beneath the earth.

The road returned to its peaceful state, as if nothing had happened.

The next day at noon.

Jonathan was dressed formally in a suit, his hair neatly styled, and he looked sharp and clean.

He held a bouquet of flowers, walking with a spring in his step toward Sophia's Restaurant.

Jonathan was thrilled today because Welma had finally invited him out.

"Welma's been down for a while since Vincent passed away."

"Women are at their most vulnerable during times like this!"

"Maybe, today I can confess and become Welma's shoulder to lean on!"

Jonathan stood at the entrance of Sophia's Restaurant. He patted the ring box in his pocket, his palms sweating with nervous excitement.

"Whew…"

He took a deep breath and reached to open the restaurant door.

"Huh?"

Jonathan frowned—why was the door locked?

The sound of a lock clicking came from inside, and a portly middle-aged man peeked out: "Are you Mr. Jonathan?"

Jonathan paused, then nodded.

The middle-aged man sighed in relief, opening the door. "Come in."

Jonathan, slightly confused, entered the restaurant.

The dining hall was empty. Tables and chairs were neatly arranged, but there was not a single person around, not even a server.

Jonathan asked, puzzled, "Excuse me, is this…"

The middle-aged man quickly explained, "Sir, someone has reserved the whole place today. Please proceed to Room 201 on the second floor."

Jonathan's face lit up with joy.

Did Welma book the whole place just for him?

Could it be that she was planning to confess first?

"Yes! Yes!!"

Jonathan muttered his excitement twice and hurriedly headed upstairs.

Too bad he was too focused to notice the bloodstains by the stairwell, or the bodies lying in the corners of the restaurant.

The portly middle-aged man watched Jonathan go up, his face breaking into a delighted grin.

For him, Jonathan's arrival meant his task was complete.

He dashed out of the restaurant, running frantically toward the security bureau.

Jonathan had just reached the second floor when he heard a soft, sorrowful violin tune.

The piece was called The Sadness of Love.

A smile spread across Jonathan's face.

"Welma even picked this romantic touch."

"Indeed, a woman changes after great sorrow."

Jonathan stood at the door of Room 201, adjusted his tie, straightened a crooked rose, and prepared to knock.

But the voices he heard from inside made him frown.

"Give it to me, I beg you!"

"Stop torturing me, I'm begging you… Willard!"
