Fate: Question And Answer System of Traversing Heroic Spirits

Chapter 109: Chapter 109: The Last Night, Battle

Tohsaka Rin: "Moriarty? Is that the Professor Moriarty from Sherlock Holmes?"

Kayneth: "I didn't expect even such a dangerous person could become a Heroic Spirit."

Waver: "You really can't tell just by looking at him."

Chihiro: "A real villain never writes 'I am a bad guy' on their face."

Tohsaka Tokiomi: "Yes, that's very true. I understand that very well."

Sola-ui: "After watching this video and laughing so much, I feel a bit better now."

Kayneth: "So do I, actually."

Tohsaka Rin: "No wonder the system said it was a mood-changing video."

Of course, Lancelot, as the one targeted by the video, was not in such a good mood.

Tohsaka Tokiomi: "This Q&A session has come to an end. Who knows when the next one will be?"

Kayneth: "Maybe ten years later during the Fifth Holy Grail War?"

Tohsaka Tokiomi: "Yeah…"

The mention of the Holy Grail wiped away any good mood he had managed to regain. The mysterious appearance of Angra Mainyu as part of the Grail still weighed heavily on his mind.

Meanwhile, as the quiz concluded, the final batch of treasure chests for this session were distributed.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the 'Magic Costume - Fairy Breeze'!"

Chihiro raised an eyebrow. "Another magical gift tied to leaving the field, huh?" But as he examined the item more closely, something about it seemed… off.

The card's original description had stated it would increase the defense of all allies when activated, but now it had an additional ability summoning the "Iron Fan Princess."

Chihiro's jaw dropped. "What? Isn't this… Princess Iron Fan from Journey to the West?" Indeed, the design on the card now depicted Princess Iron Fan, famously wielding her magical palm-leaf fan that could blow away mountains.

The outfit, when summoned, could project an image of Princess Iron Fan as an ethereal warrior to fight alongside the user.

"A Stand?" Chihiro muttered, trying not to laugh at the unexpected development. Still, he couldn't deny its usefulness. "I guess this works out," he thought as he tucked the card into his inventory.

---

Nearby, Hassan of the Hundred Faces and Sigurd were also opening their treasure chests.

Hassan received a magic item titled "Halloween Arrangement." The image on the card was of a cutesy, childlike Mashu dressed in festive attire. The effect of this item? It allowed the creation of "Mischievous Bats," magical decorations that boosted concentration and temporarily enhanced defense.

Sigurd, meanwhile, drew an item that left him utterly exasperated. His reward was the "Valentine's Day Gift: Glasses."

Sigurd stared at the familiar pair of spectacles now resting in his hand. "…These are just my glasses," he muttered flatly. "The very ones I'm already wearing."

Indeed, these glasses were made with Sigurd's signature runes, designed to block harmful sights and enhance focus. They were an effective tool in battle and study alike. But the fact that he could already summon countless duplicates of these from his own runic repertoire made this particular "reward" completely useless.

Sigurd's frustration was palpable, and Chihiro chuckled at the sight of the usually stoic warrior trying not to explode.

As the others opened their treasures, Zhang Jiao finally tore his attention away from practicing magic to open his own chest. A bright red gem fell into his hand, glowing faintly with power.

The intricate carvings on the gem clearly marked it as a magical catalyst.

Chihiro immediately recognized it. "That's a Mystic Code Catalyst," he said. "It's typically used to amplify Magecraft."

Zhang Jiao nodded thoughtfully. "It might be useful for enhancing formations," he said as he stashed it away.

With the excitement dying down, Chihiro returned to his room to open another special lottery ticket he'd been saving.

This was his Extra Reward.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host Chihiro for drawing the 'Qillin Seal'!"

Chihiro's eyebrows shot up. "Qillin Seal?" The item appeared as a shining, intricately carved seal in his hand, containing the consciousness of the mythical creature Qillin. If Chihiro could form a bond with it, he would gain the right to summon the legendary Qillin Armor and Chariot.

Restraining his excitement, Chihiro decided not to use it immediately. He would wait until he was alone to experiment with it.

Next, Chihiro opened today's extra gold treasure chest.

"Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining 'Mystic Code- Brilliant Summer'!"

Oh, another Mystic Code?

A few days ago, Zhang Jiao had drawn the Royal Brand, which had proven quite useful for him. It had also worked wonders during battles on numerous occasions.

Curious about the effectiveness of this Mystic Code, Chihiro eagerly checked its details but his face immediately froze.

What? Isn't this just a pair of gaudy floral shorts?

It was… a swimsuit.

As usual, the equipment came with three effects: Rumble Party, Deadly Trident, and Sea House Shower.

Rumble Party could temporarily boost the strength of the servants on his side.

Deadly Trident was quite impressive, it allowed one person on his side to enter an invincible state with piercing power for a short duration.

Sea House Shower offered simple yet effective healing abilities.

But there was a glaring issue with this Mystic Code: it had to be worn as-is.

To activate its effects, one would have to wear these oversized floral shorts, as if lounging at a beach.

Who in the world designed such an absurd setting?

Da Vinci? Well, that wouldn't be surprising.

It seemed that, for the time being, this piece of equipment wouldn't see much use.

That night, back at the Emperor's camp, Darius III issued a direct challenge to Iskandar.

"This is our last night in this world," the Persian king declared. "If we don't settle things now, there won't be another chance!"

Waver and Tokiomi exchanged glances but didn't intervene. Letting them fight in an isolated Reality Marble wouldn't endanger anyone else.

The duel was arranged, and the two kings met at Fuyuki Bridge.

Iskandar stood with his full army, Waver by his side, while Darius was bolstered by his Master Tokiomi, and the Command Spells he'd just spent to enhance his servant.

"King of Persia," Iskandar declared, his voice filled with confidence, "I underestimated you last time. That won't happen again tonight."

The atmosphere was electric as both armies prepared for the final battle. Those not involved stood to the side, watching in anticipation.

"Gather once more, warriors who seek glory in the end! The tracks we carve here will become eternal honor!" Iskandar roared as his Reality Marble unfolded.

Within moments, the desert landscape of his Ionioi Hetairoi spread across the area. Unlike the phalanx formation used in their previous clash, Iskandar had opted for a cavalry-heavy strategy this time. The sight of countless charging warhorses painted a powerful image of his tactical adaptability.

Darius III responded in kind. His undead army surged forward like a tide, clashing headfirst with the Macedonian cavalry.

The air buzzed with tension, the sound of clashing weapons echoing through the battlefield. The final fight of the Fourth Holy Grail War had begun.
