Eclipse of the Heart: The Alpha’s Forbidden Mate

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Li Ge Falls Ill

Quickly hiding her injured hand behind her, Li Ge's blood was different, so the wound healed quickly. Now that the wound, which had already stopped bleeding, mustn't be seen by it, or it would bite her again.

"But, what about him? Did you see the person who was lying under this tree just now?" After the joke, Li Ge suddenly remembered that the person who should have been lying under the tree was already gone. She asked in confusion.

As soon as Li Ge finished speaking, the wolf stopped abruptly. Its deep green eyes froze, no longer looking at her expectant gaze, and turned to leave. Thump, thump, thump, the heavy footsteps stopped outside the man and wolf.

Taking advantage of the moonlight, when she saw who was coming, Li Ge couldn't help but sigh at God's joke.

It was also true. She could come to this strange place, Xiao Hei could come, and of course, the big brown bear that had once threatened her life could also come.

Awooo!

The wolf bared its teeth, blocking Li Ge, staring fiercely at the equally ferocious brown bear.

Puff, puff, the brown bear's breathing was obviously much faster. Its eyes first swept over the wolf, then fixed on Li Ge.

The previous battle seemed to have just happened. This made the flames in the brown bear's heart surge. This human was not easy to deal with. If it weren't for its strong willpower, it would have been captured by the humans behind her.

The big brown bear attributed all its previous suffering to Li Ge, so before Li Ge could react, it charged towards the man and wolf.

Hiss. That woman could only bully herself. When would a lowly beast be so arrogant? The wolf's eyes flashed with ferocity. It leaped up and pounced, biting at the bear's heart at a tricky angle.

The fangs were so sharp that even though the bear's skin was thick, Li Ge could still see blood dripping down its chest.

Chich, chich, the brown bear raised its paw and swung it at the wolf, which was much smaller than itself. Li Ge watched with her heart in her throat, shouting, "Be careful!"

But the wolf wasn't an ordinary wolf. It dodged at the same time, biting down hard and tearing off a piece of flesh from the bear's chest, spitting out gray fur with a fishy smell. The wolf's cold eyes still stared intently at the bear, which was howling in pain.

"That… you go first. This bear is very powerful. Can you help me take care of Xiao Hei first?" Li Ge quickly stood in front of the wolf, cautiously suggesting.

She had experienced the bear's strength. Even her Beast Taming Art wasn't very effective. Of course, Li Ge wouldn't admit that she had simply forgotten to use her signature skill at that time because she was scared.

The wolf glanced coldly at the woman, then stared tightly at the brown bear, fearing it would launch a surprise attack.

While the man and wolf were discussing, the brown bear bared its teeth. It couldn't believe that a wolf much smaller than itself could actually hurt it.

Dong, dong, hiss. This time it was really angry.

As the bear charged forward, the wolf also kicked off its paws and rushed forward without giving up.

Instantly, dust flew, the sound of teeth piercing flesh rang out, and the screams were exceptionally terrible.

Although the brown bear was huge and incredibly strong, the wolf was agile and always attacked in unexpected ways. So, after a while, the scene froze with the wolf hanging from the bear's neck, its sharp teeth deeply embedded in its throat.

Awooo! The brown bear let out a tragic roar, shaking its neck vigorously, while the wolf also exhausted all its strength and was thrown away heavily.

Blood flowed from the corner of its mouth, and the clear sound of bones dislocating rang out. The deep green eyes were no longer cold, but filled with unbearable pain. Li Ge's heart sank. She knew the wolf was seriously injured. Li Ge nervously stepped forward, trembling as she reached out, afraid to touch the bones deeply embedded in its internal organs.

After the brown bear stopped twitching, the spirit mink ran to Li Ge's feet, affectionately biting her pants to claim credit.

"Xiao Hei is so good." After checking the wolf, Li Ge praised it.

Looking at the wolf's huge body, Li Ge considered for a moment before solemnly looking at the spirit mink and saying, "Xiao Hei, you stay here and watch it well. I'll go find some water to clean its wounds, okay?"

Xiao Hei nodded like a human, running to the wolf's feet and standing guard, its round eyes turning around, fearing the appearance of any suspicious animals.

After confirming that there were no other suspicious dangers, Li Ge hurried towards the lake she had discovered during the day, passing by the corpse of the big brown bear. She still subconsciously flinched.

Fortunately, because of her injuries, she had walked slowly during the day, and the lake wasn't too far away. So, after about two quarters of an hour, Li Ge carefully held a hollowed-out piece of wood in her hands, filled with a small amount of water.

Carefully cleaning the wound, the wolf clearly stiffened its body. Then it tried its best to stretch its breath and relax its body. Even though Li Ge was very careful, she knew that even humans couldn't guarantee to suppress a scream of pain. But the wolf did it. It just narrowed its eyes and then remained silent.

Having lived in the mountains for a long time, Li Ge was quite familiar with medicinal herbs. Moreover, her master had also taught her some simple pharmacology knowledge. For animals with broken bones, Li Ge had dealt with many times before. Li Ge instructed the spirit mink to watch over it and went to find herbs in a place with many medicinal plants.
