Dragon Ball:Vados is my Wife

Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Rados is facing her father

"What... what?!"

Supreme Kai staggered back a few steps, his face a picture of shock, his previously confident expression now replaced with disbelief.

"This guy... doesn't he know how powerful Majin Buu is?!"

Not only Supreme Kai, but Jebit was equally taken aback.

"No one's been able to deal with Majin Buu for over five million years!" Jebit thought, still in shock.

He remembered when the five Supreme Kai's had tried to fight Majin Buu together—two were killed, two were absorbed, and it was only by the efforts of the wizard Babidi that Majin Buu was sealed back into his magic egg.

The Supreme Kais had been powerless against Majin Buu, so how dare Kahn speak so casually about him?

After regaining his composure, Supreme Kai asked in a deep voice, "Mr. Kahn, do you truly understand the power of Majin Buu? He's a monster that claims to be invincible..."

Supreme Kai was well aware that Kahn had defeated Frieza, the Emperor of the Universe. However, defeating Frieza didn't mean Kahn could easily handle Majin Buu. Frieza was the kind of opponent that could be crushed with a single finger in Kahn's hands.

But Majin Buu? Majin Buu was a different beast entirely—something Frieza could never compare to.

"I came here hoping that we could cooperate to eliminate Majin Buu together," Supreme Kai continued, hopeful yet anxious.

"Hmph, sounds like a powerful opponent. Let me take care of him," Vegeta interjected with his usual arrogance. "I've been looking for someone to spar with. I hope this Majin Buu is up to the challenge."

"I'm in too!" Son Goku grinned excitedly, eager for the battle.

"And me! Uncle Kahn protected the Earth before. Now it's our turn to step up!" Son Gohan declared, his voice filled with determination.

Rados looked as though she wanted to join in, but Kahn cut her off with a chuckle. "Rados, you're not planning to fight me, are you? Let Uncle Goku handle this one."

It wouldn't be as fun to watch Rados go up against Majin Buu. The match would give Son Goku and Son Gohan a chance to hone their skills, and Kahn wasn't going to shield them from every fight. They had to grow stronger on their own. Besides, if Majin Buu proved too difficult, Kahn could always step in.

Supreme Kai's worry became apparent. "Mr. Kahn, aren't you going to join us? With just them—"

"Hmph, enough talking!" Vegeta snapped coldly. "Where's this Majin Buu you speak of? Take me there!"

"I think we'll be fine," Son Goku said confidently. "If we can't beat him, I'll eat my hat!"

Kahn raised an eyebrow, slightly amused. "If you can't beat Majin Buu after all this, I don't think you should be called Supreme Kai."

Supreme Kai tried to hide his frustration, but his pout was noticeable. "I was hoping you'd come with us..."

Kahn, however, had made his decision. Without waiting for Supreme Kai's reaction, the Supreme Kai, along with Jebit, led the others—Son Goku, Vegeta, Son Gohan, and Piccolo—to the location of the magic egg that had sealed Majin Buu.

After they left, Rados looked at her father with curiosity. "Dad, what's so dangerous about Majin Buu?"

"You could eliminate Majin Buu with a single finger, it's no big deal," Kahn replied casually.

"Ah? Is he that weak?" Rados' interest vanished in an instant.

"Instead of fighting someone so weak, it's much more fun to spar with you, Dad." Rados' eyes lit up as she pointed toward the Martial Arts Association's competition venue.

Meanwhile, in the adult competition, the group of contestants had been reduced from 16 to just 10, due to Son Goku, Vegeta, Son Gohan, Piccolo, Supreme Kai, and Jebit abstaining.

However, with Son Goku's absence, the organizers added six more contestants to make up for it. The new players took part in a lottery to determine who they would face.

In a surprising twist, Kahn drew No. 16 as his opponent, while Rados drew No. 8, meaning that father and daughter would face off in the final round of the first bracket.

"Okay, I got Dad!" Rados exclaimed happily, holding up her lottery ball with the number 16.

"My dear daughter, don't blame me for being too ruthless later," Kahn said with a mock sternness.

Rados pouted, feigning tears. "Dad, please go easy on me!"

Kahn smiled, knowing Rados' confidence would be tested, but this would be a good experience for her.

The lottery results were slightly different from what the original book had outlined. Yamu and Spobic were drawn to face No. 17 and No. 8, while Videl found herself facing Spobic, which didn't happen in the original scenario.

The adult group competition began promptly with Tien Shinhan versus Krillin. Son Goku and the others were left behind due to their strength, as they would have been a liability in this particular battle. Kahn preferred to keep them safe for now.

With Son Goku and the others absent, No. 17 observed from a distance, commenting to No. 16, "With them out, we have a much better chance at winning the championship."

No. 16, however, was more realistic. "Even if they're gone, as long as Kahn is here, no one has a chance to win."

Number 18 agreed with a sigh. "Exactly. If Kahn's still around, there's no way any of us can win."

"Not necessarily," No. 17 said with a confident smile. "If No. 18 can make it to the final, maybe she could beat Kahn."

"Stop joking. There's no way I could beat him," No. 18 scoffed, but she was secretly wondering about it. Even if she couldn't win, the prize money for second place would be worth it.

No. 17 just smiled cryptically, clearly thinking there was more to the situation than it seemed.

The first match in the adult group ended with Tien Shinhan's victory, and one by one, No. 17 and No. 18 swiftly eliminated their opponents—Yamu and Spobic, who had been sent by Babidi to gather energy, were taken out with ease. Unlike in the original, where Goku had been the only one to defeat them, No. 17 and No. 18 wasted no time, quickly dispatching their foes.

With the first round nearing its end, Kahn was up next against Rados. The crowd eagerly watched as the father and daughter stepped into the ring.

"Oh, what a twist! Rados is facing her father already. This is going to be interesting," Vados remarked from the audience, clearly excited by the unexpected match-up.

"It was supposed to be the final match, but here we are," Bulma said, watching in disbelief.

In the ring, Kahn and Rados stood across from one another, twenty meters apart.

"Dad, don't be too hard on me. I'm still your good daughter, right?" Rados grinned, trying to act cute.

"Good girl, but there's a saying—no father and son on the battlefield. Don't think you can get off easy just because you're my daughter," Kahn warned with a grin.

Rados rolled her eyes and smirked. "Since you're not going to go easy on me, I'll just have to get serious."

With a determined look in her eyes, Rados assumed a fighting stance. "Dad, please show me your best!"

The referee, wearing sunglasses and clearly uninterested in the spectacle, raised his hand and called out, "Let the match begin!"
