Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Meeting Zeno
"Master Zeno wants to see my husband?!"
Vados was horrified as she watched Kahn leave with the Grand Priest. The fact that the Grand Priest wanted to meet Kahn didn't surprise her as much, but the fact that it was Zeno himself who had summoned him left her shocked.
The supreme ruler of the universe had shown interest in Kahn!
Alice, equally shocked, struggled to process the news. "This... it's unbelievable that Lord Zeno thinks of Lord Kahn!"
At the same time, Champa stood there, his face filled with despair. He had no idea how he could earn Kahn's forgiveness, and without it, his position as a God of Destruction—and perhaps even his life—was at risk.
"Mom, mom, who is Zeno?" Rados blinked her innocent eyes, looking up at her mother with curiosity.
"Master Zeno..." Vados' voice took on a fearful tone. "He is the supreme ruler of the entire multiverse. The Grand Priest is the most powerful person in the universe, but he is merely the steward of Master Zeno."
"Wow, sounds amazing," Rados said, her eyes wide with wonder.
Alice, serious now, added, "It's more than amazing! If Master Zeno gets angry, the entire universe can be destroyed with just a flick of his finger, wiping out hundreds of millions of lives instantly. The last time Zeno felt displeased, he erased six universes!"
Alice still vividly remembered the last time Zeno had wiped out six universes. Back in her days as the guide Angel of the fifteenth universe, she had fallen into a deep sleep after Zeno's destruction, only to be awakened by the Grand Priest to serve the sixth universe.
Rados blinked, her voice small, "Will Dad be in danger?"
Vados gently patted her daughter's head, trying to reassure her. "No, dear, your father is very strong."
But even Vados couldn't completely mask her unease. Zeno was far too powerful and unpredictable. Even the Grand Priest couldn't always guarantee Zeno's mercy if he chose to act on a whim.

Meanwhile, Kahn arrived at Zeno's Palace for the first time. He looked around, curious but cautious. Though the palace appeared modest on the outside, inside it was vast yet eerily empty. The halls echoed with only the footsteps of Kahn and the Grand Priest.
"Master Grand Priest, why did Master Zeno suddenly want to see me?" Kahn asked, genuinely puzzled. What could Zeno want from him? Was it just for amusement?
The Grand Priest, ever calm, replied, "Master Zeno can grow quite bored in his palace. When he learned you became the master of the Great Staff of Destruction, he grew curious and wanted to meet you—the future God of Destruction. This meeting is a chance for you to familiarize yourself with Master Zeno."
"I see," Kahn nodded, understanding. It seemed Zeno's interest was more out of curiosity than anything else.
---
When they reached the main hall, the Grand Priest announced, "Master Zeno, Mr. Kahn is here."
At that moment, Zeno floated into view, supported by two guards. His childlike appearance was deceiving—he exuded an aura of unparalleled power. Zeno tilted his head, sizing Kahn up with a curious gaze.
"Hey, are you the one who became the first master of the Great Staff of Destruction?" Zeno asked in a tone that was both playful and inquisitive.
"Yes, Master Zeno, my name is Kahn," Kahn replied without hesitation, trying not to be intimidated by the ruler before him.
Kahn observed Zeno closely. Though the Supreme Ruler looked harmless, Kahn knew better—Zeno was one of the most dangerous beings in the entire Dragon Ball universe.
Zeno nodded thoughtfully. "Tell me, how did you pull it out? I'm really curious!"
The Grand Priest added, "Perhaps Mr. Kahn could share the details of how he conquered the Great Staff of Destruction with Master Zeno."
Kahn hesitated for a moment. There wasn't much to the story—it had been a matter of willpower and some luck. However, since Zeno had asked, Kahn knew he had to oblige. He understood Zeno's volatile temperament, and refusing to share would be unwise.
Zeno invited Kahn to sit, and they began discussing how Kahn had become the master of the Great Staff of Destruction. As Kahn recounted how he endured the immense pressure from the staff and eventually fought back, Zeno's face lit up with admiration.
"That's incredible!" Zeno exclaimed, genuinely impressed. "You're different from Beerus and the others!"
"Yes," the Grand Priest added, "Beerus and the others could never overcome the pressure of the staff. If they had another hundred million years, they would still fail to become its master."
"Perhaps, Mr. Kahn is destined to be the true God of Destruction," the Grand Priest remarked.
Zeno nodded in agreement. "Yes, that makes sense."
Kahn smiled modestly, "I was just lucky. It's not so much about destiny. My determination played a part, but the staff is just as much about fate."
The Grand Priest nodded, acknowledging Kahn's humility. "No, Mr. Kahn, you are more suited to be the God of Destruction than Beerus. There's no doubt about it."
Zeno grinned widely. "I agree! You're amazing, Kahn!"
They continued talking, and Zeno's excitement only grew. After a while, Zeno turned to Kahn with a bright, innocent smile. "Kahn, I had a lot of fun talking with you today! Will you come and talk with me again sometime?"
Kahn chuckled. "Of course, Master Zeno. Anytime you wish to chat, I'll be here."
Zeno spun around in glee, then extended a tiny hand to Kahn. "Then, can you be my friend?"
Kahn smiled, taking Zeno's hand. "Of course, Master Zeno. I would be honored."
