In the city of smithery, Gengxin City, the sound of metals being beaten and shaped resonated throughout the day.
Huang Yong had been learning the art of smithery under his teacher, Master Wang, for the past ten months. The speed at which Huang Yong progressed surprised even a master like Master Wang.
"Yong," Master Wang said, approaching Huang Yong who was gazing out the smithery window, overlooking the vast city.
"Teacher…"
Huang Yong responded
"Yong, from your current work, it can be seen that you have mastered the art of smithery well," Master Wang observed.
"It is all thanks to your teaching and guidance," Huang Yong responded humbly.
"No need to be humble, Yong. You are a talent in the art of smithery and are hardworking as well. This can be easily seen in your speed of learning. All I have done is to give you tasks and teach a few tricks here and there," Master Wang said.
"I will accept your words of appreciation, Master, but without your guidance, I would have been stuck with just the dream of learning smithery," Huang Yong acknowledged.
"Hm…" Master Wang mused, a thoughtful expression on his face.
Master Wang was very satisfied with Huang Yong's attitude, and this was also the reason behind why he chose to teach Huang Yong his own secret method:
**"39 Stars."**
A secret technique Master Wang created with his lifetime experience and a bit of inspiration from the "81 Clock Hammer," 39 Stars differed significantly. Unlike the Clock Hammer, where each successive strike increases in strength, 39 Stars focused on speed and power bursts.
In 39 Stars, 36 moves were dedicated to increasing the speed of the strikes. However, the 13th, 26th, and 39th strikes were unique. These strikes were three times more powerful than the preceding strike, resulting in the 39th strike possessing an astonishing nine times the initial power.
Although Master Wang casually referred to it as "small tricks," he himself knew the immense effort and dedication that had gone into creating this technique.
"Teacher," Huang Yong called out, bringing Master Wang back to the present. The older man had been lost in thought.
"Is something troubling you, Teacher? You were lost in thought just now," Huang Yong observed.
"Oh, no, nothing," Master Wang replied, waving a dismissive hand. "It's just that there's nothing left for me to teach you, you brat. You learned and absorbed all the knowledge I gathered in my lifetime in a few short months."
"Hehe…" Huang Yong rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, giving a sly smile.
"So, what do you plan on doing next? Gengxin City is not big enough to keep a talent like you," Master Wang mused.
"Teacher, I plan on roaming the continent, learning new things and improving my strength and skills," Huang Yong declared.
"A nice decision to roam the continent in your adulthood," Master Wang acknowledged. "But be more specific about your next destination, Yong. I don't want my student to die just after he leaves my watch," Master Wang inquired, concern evident in his voice.
"Teacher, I plan on going to Slaughter City for further training," Huang Yong declared.
"Slaughter City!!!, the renowned Killing Capital!!!" Master Wang exclaimed, his voice sharp with alarm. "Do you even have the slightest idea how dangerous that place is? There's a reason behind why it's called the Killing Capital. No human has ever walked out of it alive."
"I know, but Teacher, the reason why no one has ever walked out of it alive, in my understanding, is that none of them were strong enough," Huang Yong countered calmly.
"As if you are some strong being!" Master Wang scoffed. "You are not going to Killing City on my watch. No sane teacher will allow their student to go to a city known by the name of death, especially if the student is at level 34."
"Teacher, my decision to go to Killing City was made long ago," Huang Yong said with unwavering confidence and a touch of stubbornness. "I will not go against my decisions."
"Hah, it seems impossible to convince you," Master Wang sighed, acknowledging the futility of his arguments. "When do you plan on leaving?"
"In about two weeks," Huang Yong replied.

Three weeks later,
On an unknown, broken road, a figure walked with steady steps.
He was clad in all-black armor, adorned with a few crimson marks. A hood concealed his head, shadowing most of his face.
"The entrance to Slaughter City is indeed tough to find," the figure muttered to himself.
The figure was none other than Huang Yong, embarking on his journey to the Killing Capital. A week had passed since his farewell to Master Wang.
The armor adorning Huang Yong's body was a masterpiece, forged by his teacher, the renowned Master Wang. Crafted from cold silver and a blend of other rare metals, the armor boasted exceptional defensive capabilities.
The most notable feature of the armor was the fiery energy marks imprinted by Master Wang using his martial soul. These marks enhanced the armor's defense, even against deadly poisons.
Huang Yong continued his journey along the road, lost in thought about the armor.
The weather began to grow colder, and a strange metallic tang, the scent of blood, filled the air.
On the distant horizon, a tavern, radiating an ominous aura, came into view. This was his destination,
The Entrance to the Slaughter City.
