The convoy led by the Heaven Dou Imperial Cavalry was on its way to Spirit City for the finals of the Continental Soul Master Elite Tournament.

Knowing this would be a difficult fight coming up, Tang Zhen was meditating preparing for the fight to come.

As they headed into the desert valley, the captain of the cavalry was feeling uneasy. Maple leaves were falling for some reason and there was an abnormal amount of crows.

Not long after, the crows dispersed but before he could react, another voice resounded behind him.

"AMBUSH. FORMATIONS QUICKLY!" Everyone one was stunned but the Imperial Cavalry already on edge and prepared quickly turned and formed a formation before any damage could be done.

A handsome young man with black hair and blue eyes suddenly appeared at the middle on top of a carriage ordering soul masters to exit the carriages and was forming a plan. Although hesitant to listen, some of the academy teams realizing he already had a plan, decided to listen.

Tang Zhen organized the defensive soul masters in a line telling them for form their martial souls to prevent the rocks from crushing everyone. Once they formed, the attack type soul masters would break any big rocks that fell. 

Since he brought everyone together, the original plan of divide and conquer was foiled and the real attack began. Realizing that they were still cut off from the Imperial Cavalry, Tang Zhen released his fourth soul skill to blast the rock wall separating them only to see the Cavalry already engaging in a fight.

Running up to join them, the academy teams added much needed reinforcements. The Captain approached the group walking up to Tang Zhen and grasped his shoulder.

"That was some quick thinking and good leadership brat. Now let us handle this." He said.

The next moment, a giant dark hand came out of the wall smashing the line of cavalry. The Captain seeing this quickly leapt into action destroying the hand.

"Worthy of being the Captain of the Imperial Cavalry." Tang Zhen thought impressed.

Soon the rest of the mysterious soul masters descended surrounding the group.

This was going to be one massive battle. But the chances of them surviving may be greater once Chrysanthemum Douluo arrives.

Flander asked Liu Erlong to watch over the Shrek students. Although reluctant, she agreed since she harbored no ill intent against Flander.

Flander flew off the fight the other high level Soul Saint.

Liu Erlong was then attacked by a bulky looking person and they soon engaged. Since Liu Erlong was much stronger at this time, she easily beat him.

"FIRE DRAGON STRIKE!" Liu Erlong charged her attack.

"Fifth soul skill. Carapace Shield." 

As soon as the attacks met, the mysterious soul master realized he was losing as the golden shell started cracking. He sent out more soul power erupting his shield and pushing Erlong back before she charged back in.

"Second soul skill. Nether Claws." Zhu Zhuqing was flying around killing the cannon fodder that dared step up to her.

With an frightening display of skill, Tang San and Tang Zhen both unleashed their hidden weapons.

While Tang San was using his crossbow and needles, Tang Zhen was hurling shurikens and kunais killing them with precision.

"He uses hidden weapons too?" Tang San wondered.

Soon the weapons were blasted back as an incredible aura descended. Revealing the Soul Douluo.

Seeing the group surrounded by the Soul Douluo and multiple soul kings, Tang Zhen was confident the the girls could handle the soul kings without any problems as Dugu Yan and Shui Bing'er were soul kings themselves. They also had multiple defensive soul masters to help.

"If only my hammer had some soul rings." Tang San lamented. He felt like his Blue Silver Grass was limited.

Tang Zhen stepped forward but before he could Tang San stepped forward with the other Shrek members and attacked. As soon as the Soul Douluo unleashed his eighth soul skill. Blood Regeneration, he saw the Shrek team trying to defend themselves. Unfortunately for Ma Hong Jun he just took everything to the face. Maybe it was the fat that protected him? Tang Zhen shaking his head, walked over to the other to help deal with the soul kings.

Once the soul kings were dealt with the group turned their attention to the Soul Douluo. Seeing that Liu Erlong dealt with her opponent, she turned to help Flander with his and soon defeated them.

"HUO WU!"

Looking over near Shrek, Tang Zhen saw Huo Wu who was blasted away by the Soul Douluo.

Tang San rushed over to check on her.

Soon after Flander and Liu Erlong started to overpower the Soul Douluo until a golden energy blew them all backwards.

"Stop." A weird sounding voice said.

"Shit. He's here." Tang Zhen thought.

Seeing his target Ju Douluo rushed at Tang San but was intercepted by Flander who was injured.

"Dean!" The Shrek team exclaimed in worry.

"Who dares bully my granddaughter?" A deep voice echoed.

Turning to see the Unrivaled Dragon Serpent Couple, Meng Yiran was ecstatic.

"Grandpa! Grandma!"

"Hmpf. It's been so long since we met. You're quite bold. How dare you appear at this moment?" Ju Douluo said in almost a mocking tone.

"Is it worth for you to call over this many to trouble these youngster? Besides one of them happens to be my granddaughter." Meng Shu exclaimed.

"You should know there's always no reason for us to do this." Ju Douluo said.

"Hmpf. But I have a reason to save my granddaughter and her friends." Meng Shu spat out.

"Overconfident. Fifth soul skill. Frosty Gather." Ju Douluo attacked the Unrivaled Dragon Serpent Couple forcing them to use their martial soul fusion skill.

After trading blows, Ju Douluo activated his sixth soul skill to meet the dragon's attack head on.

Lost in his monologue, he failed to see the dragon serpent flip and as a result, he was slapped in the face by the tail sending him crashing into the wall.

Seeing this Tang Zhen was hoping this would significantly weaken Ju Douluo. He didn't want the girls to reveal they have taken immortal herbs.

Then the infamous scene came where the dragon swallowed Ju Douluo....who proceeded to vomit in the dragon's mouth causing nausea to everyone around.

Using his Seventh soul skill. Martial soul form. Ju Douluo broke through their martial soul fusion. This time severely injuring them.

"Grandpa, Grandma!" Meng Yiran yelled worriedly.

"It's done. It's over" Ma Hong Jun said pathetically.

"Lordiaara finish this battle quickly." Ju Douluo exclaimed.

"Yes Master." 

At this moment Tang Zhen stepped forward.

"Erlong, will you fight with me?" he asked.

"Mhm of course my love." Liu Erlong said stepping up.

"Hoh. This is Tang Zhen? A genius indeed at level 62 at your age. Even younger than our Golden Generation. Lordiaara, kill him." Ju Douluo said. But he was intrigued to see how him and Liu Erlong was going to stop Lordiaara who was a high level Soul Douluo.

Lordiaara prepared to end these two but he soon started sweating.

"Martial Soul Fusion! Thunder Flame Dragon God!" Tang Zhen and Liu Erlong exclaimed. 

Flander was stunned the fusion between these two was stronger than their Golden Iron Triangle's golden dragon. Although with Flander's high power level, he wasn't a compatible dragon. He realized that while in the Golden Iron Triangle, he was compensating for Yu Xiaogang's Luo Sanpao's defect thus even though the fusion rate was very high, this was something else.

"Could this be what happens when two true dragons merge?"

"Martial soul fusion?! And it is extremely compatible. I thought that girl had a defective Flame Dragon but it has ultimate fire. And the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon is more fierce than any I've seen so far." Ju Douluo exclaimed stunned.

"LIGHTNING PLASMA FLARE" A black dragon with blue veins near its chest and a red spine with one red and one blue eyes charged a Blue Fire with Thunder around it before launching it Lordiaara.

Surprised by the power behind it, Ju Douluo had to step in.

"Sixth soul skill. Cloud of Golden Pistil." A beam of golden light fired from his martial soul clashing with the attack from the dragon.

From a combined assault from Lordiaara and Ju Douluo, the martial soul fusion was dispersed causing massive damage to Tang Zhen and Liu Erlong.

Lordiaara flew forward trying to kill Liu Erlong but Tang Zhen grabbed her before being forced to reveal his Susanoo which took the attack. With a level difference of over 20 levels, the Susanoo held on but took massive damage showing cracks along the armor.

Spitting more blood, Tang Zhen felt his vision starting to blur.

"Tang Zhen!" Liu Erlong cried out with tears in her eyes. As the Susanoo disappeared, Ju Douluo's eyes narrowed sharply. He needed to kill this kid. He was far too dangerous.

Before he could act, a booming voice sounded over the valley.

"Do you think there's no one else in Blue Tyrant Academy?" Dugu Bo appeared next to Tang Zhen.

"Uncle Dugu." Tang Zhen said weakly.

"Xiao Zhen, go back and recover." Dugu Bo said with some concern.

Lordiaara tried to attack again but was blasted backwards.

"Heh. Old Venom Freak. When did you become the lackey of this school?" Ju Douluo asked annoyed.

"You're the lackey. I am an elder of Blue Tyrant Academy. Tang Zhen is someone I was entrusted to protect. If you want to kill him, you have to get through me first." Dugu Bo exclaimed.

As Lordiaara was about to attack again, he was restrained by Dugu Bo's poison might charge before a ghostly hand came out of the ground and crushed him.

"Old Ghost, you're here as well." Dugu Bo said with a scowl.

"Yue Guan, you've spent too much time. I'll block Old Venom Freak. You kill that boy and bring Tang San with you." Ghost Douluo said in a raspy voice.

"What do you need Tang San for?" Flander asked.

Receiving no answer, Dugu Bo decided to attack first.

"Seventh soul skill. Martial soul form!" 

Charging forward he was intercepted by Ghost Douluo.

"Old Ghost, if either of you touch Tang Zhen, I will stop at nothing to kill you!"

As Dugu Bo and Ghost Douluo fought, Ju Douluo moved forward towards the group while Tang Zhen was still getting healed by Ye Lingling.

Wanting to fight to protect Tang Zhen, the girls stepped forward but he held them back for a second letting Dai Mubai and Ma Hong Jun attack him first. After they were blown away.

The girls finally struck with Ning Rongrong enhancing their abilities.

Shui Bing'er unleashed her fifth soul skill Black Ice Dragon which was destroyed.

Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing rushed forward before their strikes were caught and they were blown back.

Tired of the constant interruptions, Ju Douluo used his Third soul skill causing everyone to be stunned before using his sixth soul skill, Clouds of Golden Pistil and launched it at Tang Zhen.

Before it could hit, a sharp voice echoed as multiple blue swords descended blocking the ability.

"Fifth soul skill, All-Around Massive Quake."

Soon a figure in blue with white hair stood in front of Tang Zhen and the girls.

"Sword Douluo Chen Xin?! Why are you getting involved in this matter?" Ju Douluo exclaimed angrily.

Sword Douluo just scoffed.

"Tang Zhen is will soon be the husband of the next leader of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan." he exclaimed causing Ning Rongrong's cheeks to become red.

Then he charged at Ju Douluo pushing him back.

Ju Douluo activating his Fifth soul skill, Frosty Gather launched an attack at Chen Xin that was blocked by his Sixth soul skill, Myriad Sword Returning Tribe.

Having used a lot of his soul power already, Ju Douluo lost the exchange. Seeing this Ghost Douluo rushed over trying to perform their martial soul fusion Bipolar Static Field.

Sword Douluo used his Third soul skill, Flying Sword Wings trying to stop the fusion. With the help of Ning Fengzhi's amplification, the fusion was interrupted causing massive damage to both Ghost and Ju Douluo.

Admitting defeat seeing the formidable line up, they retreated.

"Huo Wu, are you okay?" Tang San ran over to his girlfriend who was being healed by Jiang Zhu.

Seeing Tang San worried about her, Huo Wu despite still being in pain, leaned up and kissed him causing the other four idiots at Shrek to start gushing.

"Big brother Tang Zhen/Tang Zhen!" The girls ran to him checking to see if he was okay.

Seeing the state of everyone, Tang Zhen couldn't help but feel down. Although he knew this was coming, he became overconfident after having no problems with soul masters his own level. But this was a world where power spoke most and this experience only served to remind him he needed to become a Titled Douluo as soon as possible in order to protect everyone. Especially since it seems that the Martial Soul Hall has seen him as a threat.

He looked at the girls and exclaimed that he was happy they weren't hurt badly but apologized for his weakness.

"Rongrong, are you okay?" Ning Fengzhi and Sword Douluo came over.

"Papa!" Rongong went and hugged him. "Papa, big brother Tang Zhen got hurt." she said with tears in her eyes.

Although it was a good thing that Ning Fengzhi and Sword Douluo were there to protect the crowned prince, it was almost too close.

Qian Renxue disguised as Xue Qinghe was conflicted. For the past few weeks, she couldn't get this man out of her thoughts and now seeing him hurt brought a pain to her heart.

Continuing on the road, Ning Fengzhi expressed that he preferred to keep Tang Zhen in the tribe for safety but declined. Tang Zhen stated that they needed to hasten making more weapons and defenses for the tribe now that he is being targeted. Ning Fengzhi agreed.

Arriving at Spirit City, Tang Zhen originally wanted to sit back and leave them but after hurting his women, he would no longer sit back.
