Demon's Incarnate

Chapter 2: INTERROGATOR

"Wake up! Wake up!!"

Kakashi opened his eyes only to find a girl staring at him face to face.

He suddenly jumped up, hitting his head against the child and she fell down the bed.

"Ouch!" She cried out in pain.

She was about twelve years old, with an average height of four feet, her eyes were bright purple which was the opposite of her hair, her hair was almost reaching her knees, and she was wearing a long black silk gown.

She scratched her forehead with an angry look on her face before suddenly turning in delight as she stood with a smile on her face.

"You're awake! What's your name? Where do you come from? Do you remember anything?"

Kakashi stared at the girl absent-mindedly as she continued with her questions, after a while she noticed the look on his face and kept quiet, expecting Kakashi to ask her the questions, which he did.

"Who are you?, And..." Kakashi looked around and covered his face as the sunlight pierced through the window and into his eyes. "...where are we? And what were you doing on top of my body?"

The girl climbed on top of Kakashi's bed with a cheerful smile.

"I'm Mira Tokoyami, the daughter of Natski Tokoyami, and the future dark magic sage." She then sat down beside him. "Don't tell mom, but I was trying to wake you up. Mom said yelling won't work, but I guessed it did."

"Who the hell yells at an unconscious patient?" Kakashi started to remember what had happened before. " Where did they take Megumin to?"

"Are you talking about the girl that was with you?" Mira didn't wait for Kakashi to reply before continuing. "Her case was worse than yours so she will be kept in a revitalization machine after her surgery, I don't know the details, but Mom said she was lucky to still be alive."

Kakashi didn't understand what she said, but he clearly understood the word 'worst'. He quickly stood up from his bed and was surprisingly able to stand on his feet, he looked at his leg and noticed that it was completely healed.

"I have to see her," Kakashi informed before trying to leave the room but was held back by Mira.

"You can't leave, you just woke up after being unconscious for two days," Mira said as she held his arm and tried to pull him back. "You need to rest, we can check on her later."

"I have to make sure she is fi..." Kakashi suddenly felt dizzy and almost fell but Mira held him and helped him back to the bed.

"I know you're worried, but you are still weak..."

**Knock, knock!**

Kakashi and Mira heard a knock.

"Mom's here," Mira announced.

The door opened, revealing a young lady who appeared to be in her early twenties. She was wearing a suit that showed her curves, her black hair was tied into a ponytail, and her eyes had two little stars in each of them that seemed to spackle.

"Is she your mom?" Kakashi asked. "Looks more like an older sister to me."

"No," Mira answered. "What are you doing here!?"

"I have a permit to be here, I'm just here to ask him some questions."

The lady said and sat down on the chair beside his bed.

"Can't you see that he's s-"

"It's okay, you don't know to worry about me," Kakashi said and gently placed his hand on Mira's shoulder.

Mira nodded and sat on the side of the bed.

"But I'm not leaving."

"That's fine with me." Her gaze shifted to Kakashi. "I'm Elizabeth, I'm with the London police department and I'm here to ask you a few questions about what happened two days ago."

[It's has already been two days?]

Kakashi thought and slowly nodded.

"Okay."

"Can you remember anything that happened when you were there? A name? A face description? Anything that can help us?" she asked.

"I don't think I do," Kakashi replied. "Most of my memories are still blurry."

"Try!!" she yelled, bringing her face closer to his. "We just need something, anything."

"You are too close..." Mira tried to stop her but she remained persistent.

"You are not the only one there, and you know that. There were other children, just like you. They all died. Don't you want justice for them?"

Kakashi was beginning to freak out, she was putting him under too much pressure. Gradually, memories of what happened started flowing into him, memories that he didn't want to remember.

"Ahhhh!!, Ahhhh!!!" Kakashi held his hand and started screaming.

His heart rate was beginning to rise and his body began to tremble, his body was drenched with sweat.

"Stop!!!, You're making his condition worse!" Mira yelled.

"There were more than eighty children that were found dead. He is the only one who could tell us what happened!" Elizabeth shouted. "Who were the ones behind it? Who were those demons fighting there!?"

"Please, stop. I can't take it anymore." Kakashi pleaded quietly, but she didn't listen.

"I think that will be enough for today." Another lady said as she walked in. "Don't you think he's had enough, Elizabeth?"

"Miss Tokoyami!!" Elizabeth stood up and bowed her head. "I was just asking some questions."

Miss Tokoyami was a twenty-eight-year-old woman and Mira's mother. Her long black hair was the perfect match for her dark purple eyes.

"I can see that" Miss Tokoyami smiled at her. "And I think that will be enough for today, don't you think so?"

"I'm so sorry, Miss Tokoyami." Elizabeth bowed her head repeatedly apologetically. "Sorry, I lost my composure. Why don't I leave and come back tomorrow?"

"Sounds like a good idea." Miss Tokoyami replied, and Elizabeth left.

Miss Tokoyami walked to where Kakashi lay on his bed, he was still shivering while Mira tried to calm him down.

"Poor child, don't worry. You can rest now." Miss Tokoyami said, and suddenly he fell asleep.
