Change Of Taste(BL).

It was almost midnight when Wei Nuo heard a soft knock at the door. She groaned in frustration at the slight disturbance. She had been staying at a hotel since she moved out of her boyfriend's house. The hotel staff rarely disturbed her so she thought something important had come up that they opted to wake her up. She lazily crept out of her bed and walked towards the door. She opened the door with her eyes half opened but only opened them wide in surprise at the sudden appearance of her best friend at the doorstep .Su Liang threw herself into her friend's arms and hugged her tight. Wei Nuo embraced her back and rubbed her slim back in soothing circles.

"I broke up with Gu Shan,"Su Liang revealed in a broken voice still in her friend's embrace.

"No need to talk about it now..."Wei Nuo muttered in soothing voice .

"It's my fault. I cheated on him and he caught me,"Su Liang sobbed.

Wei Nuo suddenly yanked her friend's body away from her and looked at her in surprise. She held out her hands to her friend's while she explained everything as they perched themselves on the edge of her comfy hotel room bed. In between their conversation Wei Nuo embraced her in a comforting manner. For some reason she felt guilty and responsible for her friend's misfortune. She was the one who had encouraged Su Liang to pursue Li Yunxi. She was even more hurt when Su Liang narrated how Li Yunxi had rejected her.

"He's a dumb guy he doesn't know how to appreciate beauty,"Wei Nuo scolded Li Yunxi's conduct towards her best friend.

Gu Shan dipped his hand inside the packet of snacks and picked one throwing it in his mouth. Apartment from the living room, bedroom and kitchen there was an extra room in his apartment reserved for his electronics. He was obsessed with computers so naturally they occupied a large space in his life. He had woken up just to play videogames on his computer. He had a class in the afternoon and he wanted to pass some time while waiting for the time to get ready for class. He was a diligent student and sometimes even illness could barely prevent him from attending his classes. He knew he had a lot catch up with now that he had been away from school for three weeks.

In the afternoon he arrived at the lecture hall pretty early like he usually did. No one would be able to tell he had just caught her girlfriend cheating on him and broken up with her. He still remained indifferent to such things. It was Friday,he could have skipped the class and take time to figure out his life but funnily enough he seemed to have moved on in less than twenty four hours.

"ShanShan when did you come back?Why didn't you tell me ?"His best friend Liu Daxun beamed in surprise.

Oh shit! He forgot to tell his best friend he had returned.

"Oh I was exhausted and forgot to text you,"He replied curtly.

"Where is Su Liang? You usually come to lectures together."

"We broke up and don't ask the reason,"Gu Shan replied coldly.

"Okay,"Liu Daxun responded fearfully.

"By the way can I move in to your house?" he asked all of a sudden.

"My house?...Well my house is not decent like your apartment,"Liu Daxun reluctantly voiced out his insecurities.

"I've only been there once of course I know how it looks like. If it's habitable for you then I don't mind,"he continued surprising his friend.

The professor walked right in interrupting their conversation. The professor spent the first one hour to teach and the next hour he invited Gu Shan to share his Congress experience only to shower him with praises like a proud father bragging about his son's abilities to his friends.

"Wei Nuo can you escort me to pick up my things from the apartment tomorrow?"Su Liang requested in a timid voice.

"Are you ready to face him?"Wei Nuo asked rising up to a seating position in her bed.

"I'm still sacred. Who knows what he might do? He might even throw my things out of the apartment."

"Don't worry I'll go with you,"Wei Nuo assured her."Now sleep you've been crying the whole day,"she instructed in a motherly tone.

Su Liang compliantly got in bed pulling the quilt over her body. Hardly had she even closed her eyes when her phone dinged. She shoved her hand out of the quilt and stretched it out towards her phone which was on the bedside table. She slowly uncovered herself,checked her inbox and found an unread message from someone she least expected .

'I'm moving out tomorrow so you can come back and continue living here or move out if you want.'

The message was precise and Su Liang felt a cold chill run down her spine as she imagined Gu Shan coldly spitting out the exact words in front of her face. She knew how hostile and humiliating the guy would be at times.

Su Liang threw away the quilt covering them and quickly rose to a seating position,her eyes still staring at the phone's screen in disbelief.

"What are you fussing about?"Wei Nuo groaned in annoyance.

"Gu Shan just texted. He's moving out tomorrow and he said I can keep the apartment ,"she revealed.

"Isn't that a good thing?"Wei Nuo queried in confusion unable to read the expression on her friend's face.

"The apartment is his why would he move out?"Su Liang spoke in a guilty tone.

"You're feeling guilty?"Wei Nuo teased her and snickered afterwards.

The shipment truck stopped right outside Cherish Abode,an affordable apartment complex where students of middle class and those in the low class lived. The neighborhood was a bit shabby compared to his former one but Gu Shan didn't seem to mind. But if someone saw his belongings they would get shocked he had decided to settle in such kind of a place.

"Your things are enough to start a convenience store business,"Liu Daxun joked dropping the last carton on the table. He glanced at his two seat couch where his worn out friend lay lazily his legs hanging over the couch's armrest.
