Rukongai, District 79 – Caolu District

A young man calmly wiped the blood off his blade with a coarse cloth. Under the horrified stares of the onlookers, he methodically sheathed the saber at his waist and turned to leave.

He walked unhurriedly toward the boundary between the Caolu and Zaraki districts, as though the corpses of the dozens of criminals he had slain moments earlier were of no concern to him.

"It's been over a year, and I didn't expect to stumble upon a kendo talent today," Aaron muttered to himself as he moved.

A translucent panel appeared before him, providing an assessment of his recent progress.

"There's less and less Reiatsu to absorb. No matter how many lowlifes I cut down, my growth stagnates." Aaron sighed; his gaze sharp. "At least I picked up kendo talent this time. That's something worth exploring."

For over a year, Aaron had been relentlessly honing his skills, guided by the mysterious system that had awakened within him. During this time, he had cut down hundreds of Rukongai's worst villains.

The progress wasn't easy. In the beginning, he was frequently injured, barely surviving encounters. But now, he could dispatch dozens of opponents with a few calculated strikes. The arduous path he walked was known only to himself.

Today, however, marked a breakthrough. Amid the carnage, he had acquired a rudimentary kendo skill from a box dropped by one of his slain foes.

Though it was the most basic form of kendo, Aaron felt no disappointment. With his "Omniscience and Omnipotence," he knew this would be enough.

Upon returning to his modest residence, Aaron closed his eyes and delved into his thoughts. Compared to the renowned schools of swordsmanship in the world of the Shinigami, he found their techniques unnecessary.

To him, those so-called killing arts were flashy and overcomplicated. In the face of absolute power, technique alone meant little.

His goal was clear: elevate his kendo to a level where one strike could overcome any foe, a realm where sheer force nullified all techniques.

Activating his "Omniscience and Omnipotence," countless sword movements unfolded in his mind like a cascading slideshow. He analyzed, simulated, and refined them over and over.

Three days passed, yet he remained unsatisfied with his progress.

"Trying to perfect my swordsmanship in theory is proving futile. I need practical combat to push past this bottleneck," he decided.

With this resolution, Aaron shut the system interface, grabbed his saber, and left his residence to begin another "hunt."

As he stepped outside, a rough voice interrupted him.

"Second brother, that brat killed your brother!" A burly man in tattered clothes pointed at Aaron, his tone laced with fury.

Aaron looked at the approaching group, their hostility evident, and smiled faintly, unbothered.

"So, you're the one who killed my brother!" the leader, an axe-wielding giant, roared. "Do you know who I am?"

"I don't, and I'm not interested," Aaron replied, his smile fading into an indifferent expression.

"Humph! You'll regret this! Our big sister will arrive soon!" the man threatened, though he hesitated to attack.

"Tiresome," Aaron muttered. He drew his sword and slashed through the air.

Invisible sword strikes, imbued with Reiatsu, tore through the group, leaving nothing but lifeless bodies in their wake.

The gruesome display drew a crowd of onlookers, their whispers mingling with gasps of horror.

"Is he a demon?"

"What kind of monster can do that?"

Aaron paid them no mind. Sheathing his sword, he resumed his journey toward the border of the Zaraki and Caolu districts.

His destination was a gambling den notorious for frequent brawls. While he had no interest in gambling, he sought the criminals it attracted to test his growing kendo skills.

Though he had effortlessly dispatched the earlier group, they were mere weaklings compared to the challenges he desired.

As he neared his destination, a sudden spike of murderous Reiatsu alerted him. Instinctively, he drew his saber and turned to parry an incoming attack.

Before him stood a young woman with long black hair, her figure striking even in plain white linen. Twin blades gleamed in her hands, and her eyes burned with a fanatical intensity.

Aaron's gaze sharpened as he studied her. Though her attire was modest, her aura was anything but ordinary.

"You're quite impressive. I didn't expect anyone to kill that bunch of trash so easily," she said, her voice laced with admiration and hunger.

Aaron chuckled softly. "I didn't think I'd meet you of all people…"

Her expression turned curious. "You know who I am?"

"In all of Rukongai, the most infamous figure—a true legend of carnage—Ms. Unohana Yachiru. How could I not know?"

His tone was calm, but his grip on his saber tightened as he prepared for what was to come.
