Billionaire: Money and Power

Chapter 25: Chapter 25 – "The First Shot"

A Decision That Can't Be Undone

Joshua sat in his penthouse, the city lights stretching endlessly before him. The file from the meeting lay open on the table. Inside were the secrets of Senator Bako—proof of his plans, his connections, and the chaos he was about to unleash.

Taking him out wasn't just an option anymore. It was a necessity.

But this wasn't like his usual business moves. This was real power at play. Political, dangerous, and irreversible.

Tunde exhaled, leaning back on the couch. "So, we're doing this?"

Joshua nodded. "We don't have a choice."

Amara sat across from him, arms crossed. "We always have a choice, Joshua."

He met her gaze. "Not this time."

She didn't argue. She just sighed and looked away.

Adisa, who had been quiet the entire time, finally spoke. "Then we do it clean. No mess, no loose ends."

Joshua smirked. "That's the only way I work."

The Setup

They spent the next few hours gathering everything they needed.

Bako was careful, but he wasn't untouchable. He had a routine, a pattern. And tonight, he would be vulnerable.

The plan was simple—hit him fast, make it look like an accident, and disappear before anyone could react.

Adisa pulled up the senator's schedule. "He's attending a private meeting at a secured compound tonight. High walls, armed guards, but only a small inner circle inside."

Tunde smirked. "That means we won't have to deal with too many people."

Joshua nodded. "Then we move at midnight."

The Execution

The compound was deep in Ikoyi, surrounded by thick walls and guarded gates. The kind of place where politicians and criminals did their real business, far from the public eye.

Joshua and his team approached from the back, dressed in all black. Tunde took out the external cameras with a short-range jammer. Adisa climbed over the wall first, silent and precise. Joshua followed, landing softly on the grass.

They moved quickly, sticking to the shadows.

Inside, Bako was in the main building, discussing his plans with his inner circle. He had no idea what was coming.

Joshua signaled.

Tunde took down the first guard with a quick chokehold. Adisa handled the second, dragging him into the shadows.

Now, only the senator and his men remained inside.

Joshua exhaled. "Let's finish this."

The Confrontation

They entered the main building like ghosts. Silent. Unseen.

Bako was seated at a long table, speaking to two men. Papers were scattered across the surface—documents detailing his plans, his next moves.

He looked up just as Joshua stepped into the light.

His eyes widened. "You—"

Before he could reach for his phone, Tunde snatched it away and crushed it under his boot.

Adisa locked the doors.

Joshua walked forward, hands in his pockets. "You've been busy, Senator."

Bako's face darkened. "You don't know what you're doing."

Joshua smirked. "I know exactly what I'm doing."

One of Bako's men reached for his gun.

Tunde shot him first.

The second man tried to run. Adisa put him down before he could reach the door.

Now, it was just Bako.

He swallowed, staring at the bodies of his men. Then, he turned back to Joshua, fear creeping into his eyes.

"You think this changes anything?" Bako hissed. "You think taking me out will stop what's coming?"

Joshua pulled out his gun, aiming it at the senator's head.

"It stops you."

Bako exhaled, closing his eyes.

And then—

A single shot echoed through the room.

Bako slumped forward, his plans dying with him.

Joshua lowered his gun. "Let's go."

The Fallout

By the time the authorities arrived, Joshua and his team were long gone.

News of Bako's death spread fast. Some called it a power move. Others called it justice.

But one thing was clear—Joshua had just stepped onto a new level of the game.

And now, the real war was about to begin.
