Astral's Adventures

Chapter 52: Astral's Rise Part 8: Grace

"I still wanna sleep, but I feel ready." Astral's suit faded as his body was revealed. He would be in a pair of shorts and a hoodie. His skin seemed pale compared to its tanned reflection of normal. Looking over to the others he would strike a pose before coughing for a second. Immediately after coughing everyone rushed over. Jaimie held him up while Anders checked his pulse and vitals.

Alexa sparked to life right away. "He is physically weaker than his normal self. His body is still not fully recovered, but the main issue is a build up of fluid in his lungs. Breathing for him is comparable to you all having a broken bone. It hurts, but he can still do things."

Pausing for a second while Astral steps back from them, dragging Jaimie with him. "Besides he thinks that with more hits he will be able to come back to his senses with the stacks."

"Also I feel fine, just don't wanna push it." Astral relaxed his body, enjoying the warm embrace of Jaimie before being violently ripped away by a power of the gods, he tried to reach his hand out for Jaimie, far too late to grasp it for one last time.

Being dragged to the arena for his last hurrah. He looked up to the sky seeing all of the orbs mocking him for being weak. He was pissed, looking back to his friends who would be running to the barrier to watch him. Astral would summon his katana to his side looking to his two opponents. He smiled as the gods looked down.

'I am just a man who has been doubted for too long. I may be human, but each person is special in their own way. I shall wish only the best for everyone. Make it swift. Strike them down with speed.' Astral would coach himself up. Worried only about the fight and not watching his friends.

His friends would be at the edge of the arena watching their friend. Titan would creep behind them and speak. "Boo." Jaimie, Adam, Astrid, Angel, James and Anders all jump back as Zeta slams his arms down in front of them. Being slightly larger than normal.

Titan would smile before suddenly being pulled away, a small baby would cry up to Titan who would stop speaking. Just staring down the friends as two men walk over and block Titan's view.

Still on guard and most of them weakened from the battle, Jaimie would call out. "What do you two want?" The one man would waive his hands around as a second barrier appeared.

The armored man spoke. "We have all of two questions before leaving." He took a pause as the shirtless man gave him a thumbs up. "You guys will forget us after answering, we want to help your friend win this thing. We feel like he can twist the balance to neutral. Me and my friend here no longer have the capabilities of taking down Titan, the man who just harassed you."

"One, we know your friend but not his name or abilities. Give us a teaser and we can help make sure he wins." The shirtless man would ask politely.

"Why ask us and make us forget?" Anders asked as Adam nodded knowing the plan.

"Look, they don't want the gods or Titan to know. So if they can't read our minds it can help all of us." Adam spoke.

"Ah, quite the clever friend. He has given both me and him psychic resistance to mind probing, however, he can't do it to you without making your brains mush. As for the robots, they're offline if you haven't seen." The armored one pointed behind them as Zeta and Astrid are both slouched over.

"Why should we help you?" Jaimie would sound demanding.

"Your friend can't resist magic of the highest caliber and he may be better than everyone else here when it comes to swordplay. He needs to find that next level to take Titan down." The shirtless man walked over and offered a hand out. "Agree with us right now or we all lose and Titan wins."

Adam would step over Zeta's lifeless arms and sand next to the two. "I am Adam, introductions may be useless for us but you may appreciate it." The others sat back and watched, Adam could do this as smart as possible.

"Lone, nice to meet you Adam." He would take off his helmet revealing his face. "Now all we ask is what makes him special?"

"Gotta get a move on it, Mu and Titan are attacking the barrier." The shirtless man spoke as he waved his hands much faster than the rest could process.

"Astral has spent his entire life practicing his craft. Having a place to store things out of anyone else's reach and being able to absorb others abilities onto his own." Adam would speak creeping back as the barrier would slowly get smaller.

"Can he do it?" Lone asked.

"Of course." Adam would hop over the arms of Zeta as he whirred back to life. He had backup generators and power supplies.

"Good. Now Mike." Lone would shout to him as he dropped the barrier. Adam would remember as the rest forgot. Astrid rebooted and Zeta pointed his cannon's at Lone and Mike as his helmet was back on.

"Pleasure you two, best of luck." Adam would comment to the two as Jaimie and the twins were on edge. The two walked away as Titan glared down on them before shaking his head. Looking at Adam to read his mind.

'Dumb bitch, my mind is blank, here are some cute kittens.' Adam thought of kittens as he knew he had to defend from metal attacks. He would give a thumbs up to Mike and Lone smiling. Just thinking of cats.

Astral looked at his two opponents. How did they make it through to this phase? He would stand and look over. His friends would be talking and he knew they would be safe.
