Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes

Chapter 17: Creating Magic Rings(2)

When Atlas looked carefully at the magic ring he had created, he could recognise its pure power.

The magic ring was jet black and looked like it had burst into flames. However, it was not difficult to realise that the effect surrounding the magic ring was not a flame.

"Darkness?" Atlas suddenly thought. It looked like his magic ring had adopted an elemental. If this emphasised that he could only cast dark-based spells, that would be too bad.

After all, there were an infinite number of spells he could use, and the prospect of having them restricted to the dark attribute and element would be quite upsetting.

Still, he didn't want to stop what he was doing now. This was something that could be controlled later, after all. That's why he breathed deeply again and managed to regain his focus.

He ignored the magic ring of jet-black energy that had formed around his heart and distributed the mass of mana throughout his body again.

This time the mana was at a much greater level. The formation of the previous magic ring had required so much mana that Atlas couldn't help but be lost in thought. If this magic ring required twice as much mana as the first one, then even the third magic ring would be impossible to form.

As he began to slowly withdraw the mana he had distributed over his body, he could feel his body starting to burn a little.

This meant that a high amount of mana was being used.

After a short time, the second magic ring began to form around his heart, and then the mana began to mould and then materialise.

The magic ring formed instantly and was then enveloped by a red flame, which this time turned orange.

This represented the element of flame, it was truly incredible.

This one, just like the previous one, had managed to take the rest of his mana, a quarter of it. This meant that he had only a tiny bit more than half of the mana mass he had before he started this process.

And of course, this was enough to show him that he could create the third magic ring.

He went through the same process again, but this time his body began to tremble and his heart began to beat with leaks one after the other. It was as if his blood pressure was increasing and he was starting to sweat.

After a very short period, it happened.

He withdrew the mana he had distributed, moulded and concretised the ring, and then managed to form the magic ring.

The third magic ring was white, almost black. Just looking at this magic ring was enough to tell Atlas that it belonged to the ice element.

After doing a pretty good job, he could see that there was still some mana left around his heart. A quarter of the mana mass had been destroyed in the creation of the first two magic rings, and a quarter and a half in the last one.

He would have to save this mana, and perhaps save it for the raid he thought would take place when he left for the academy.

After a short while, he opened his eyes and then stood up with a deep breath. When he opened the window of the room, he realised that the huge cold coming in from outside did not affect him much, and on top of that, he could feel everything becoming more alive.

This was magic. It was the power that resided in every living person, in everyone. The very power that existed within every person, including aura users.

Atlas could see snowdrops falling from the sky, he could even read the chemical reactions within them. He had only become a third-grade mage, but he was already able to realise his potential.

The potions he had drunk had managed to bring his potential to the level of the Sages, the most gigantic powers in the world, that is, beyond the 12 magic rings.

He could not even imagine how much power he would have in the future.

As soon as he realised that he was sweaty and smelled seriously, he left his room and took another bath. Then he saw his sister sitting in the living room and carefully saw the surprise on her face.

"You?" Eva muttered, of course, she could see that her younger brother was a third-grade mage.

"Something happened, I hope you're proud of me?" Atlas said with a smile. Eva put down the newspaper and stood up to give her little brother a big hug.

"You haven't even gone to the academy yet, but you are stronger than the children of the imperial nobility...You have no idea how proud I am of you," Eva said.

The young woman had no idea how much those words meant to Atlas.

"Seriously...I wonder how many children will there be who are as strong as you, who have such high potential? Maybe ten...maybe twenty? We're talking about a huge academy with students from all over the world and almost five thousand students...it's mind-boggling." Eva added and gave her little brother a big kiss on the cheek.

Hearing these words, Atlas realised at that moment that it was time to move on to his next plan. When his sister stopped hugging him, he said, "What about... Will you educate me about the aura? So you'll stay here until I leave, right?" she asked.

Eva paused in the face of Atlas' question and then said, "I'll be here for almost three months, yes, Aether gave me special permission because you're going to the academy. When the Emperor is your friend from the academy, these things are very easy."

Immediately after that, the young woman smiled again and added, "I can train you hard for three months...You need to get stronger until you are sure that no one in the academy can beat you."

Atlas almost didn't realise what kind of training he was going to go through for three months...His older sister was a much more brutal instructor than he thought...
