Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes

Chapter 16: Creating Magic Rings(1)

When Eva heard these words, she honestly thought that her little brother was lying to avoid the punishment he would now receive. Still, the young woman was stunned by the sight, not even knowing what to say.

Atlas instantly released the mana in his body out of his left hand and the small amount of aura he had gathered in his body out of his right hand.

"How... how is that even possible?" Eva questioned directly. The young woman could not even stand up because of her astonishment. It was literally impossible, something never happened since the beginning of history.

"I'm not sure either," Atlas lied, and then added, "Still, I tried to train myself in case it was dangerous. It's the truth."

Atlas realised that even if she was his sister, he wouldn't tell her everything he had done, everything he had achieved.

"Is it because of that book you showed me?" Eva questioned with great surprise.

"Actually, when I found this technique, I thought I could give you a gift. I mean, I didn't even try to learn the technique, but as soon as I touched the book, my mind was filled with information. I didn't know how it happened, but I had a short faint and when I woke up I knew how to use the technique. My body didn't collapse and on the contrary, I'm healthier and more energetic than ever."

Eva scratched her head at Atlas's words and then said, "Well...if you don't have any injuries or anything like that, there's no problem..."

Then she picked up the book Atlas had placed on the table and read it at a brisk pace. After a short reading, the young woman's eyebrows raised and then said, "I have never seen such a technique...If what is written is true, when I reach the last part of the technique, I will turn into a monster on the battlefield. This...is something seriously incredible."

Immediately after that, Eva focused intently on her little brother, waited for a few seconds and then said, "You cannot tell anyone that you have learnt such a technique, it may be found out sooner or later that you use both aura with magic, but both you and I must keep this secret until the grave. Your life could be in danger otherwise, Atlas."

Even in the midst of all that had happened and a moment to rejoice, Eva was still thinking about Atlas' situation. Atlas was lucky to have such an older sister.

"Don't worry...I will continue to train myself in the remaining three months, by the time I go to the academy, I may already have two or even three magic rings." Atlas replied.

After these words, Eva smiled and said, "You must have found more treasures, use them carefully, my dear." then she got up from her seat and sat next to Atlas.

This older sister and her younger brother were really inseparable, even if there was an age difference between them, they acted as if they were the same age.

"Alright..." Atlas said calmly and put his head on his sister's shoulder.

The two stayed like that for a while, chatting, and then Atlas went to sleep. He was already tired, he had been trying to improve himself by sleeping an hour or two every day for almost three months.

That's exactly why he had slept for two days straight and woke up again around noon.

Now the real part of the plan could begin. He had managed to assimilate each of the four potions. This gave him the mana mass of almost a sixth-grade wizard.

However, much of that mass would be lost, and Atlas would only have enough mana to create five magic rings.

This was enough, after all, Atlas had no desire for more at the moment.

After a short talk and lunch with his sister, he went to his room and sat on the floor.

Immediately after getting into the meditation position, he inhaled deeply and exhaled outwards. He closed his eyes abruptly and with a steady inhalation and exhalation, he focused on the huge mass of mana in his chest, just around his heart.

It was as if he had shrunk so small that he could see inside his own body. He was standing in front of his heart with his naked eyes, indicating that his brain recognised mana.

He instantly spread that mass around his heart all over his body and began to form the first circle by withdrawing the required amount of mana.

Creating a magic circle was actually quite a painful process, as the mass of mana distributed throughout the body and normally resting around the heart would be forced to take shape and then materialise.

Nevertheless, the mass of magic in Atlas' body was so massive that it took him only twenty seconds to form the first magic ring, let alone suffer from it.

Atlas knew that even if not in reality, at least with what he knew from his previous life, he would be able to enjoy being a genius like his sister and become strong enough not to tarnish her name.

That's exactly why he had to work harder.

When he formed the first magic ring, it suddenly became tangible, and the huge mass of mana in Atlas' body suddenly began to shrink. It was such a rapid shrinkage that after a while, when the magic ring had finished forming, he was literally gasping for breath.

Atlas couldn't understand what was happening. He shouldn't have lost a quarter of the mana in his body just for the first magic ring.

He was trying to continue his meditation with such thoughts when he realised that the first magic ring around his heart, which he had been watching carefully, had a strange shape.

Normally a person's magic ring would always be transparent and the mana visible, but Atlas' magic ring had a colour, an effect, a...power?

What...what exactly was that?
