Anime Collector: Starting With the Malevolent Shrine

The bald one-eyed man's body rapidly expanded to its limit. With one hand, he seized a black sedan and hurled it skyward. Like a meteor, it tore through the air and reached Daiki in an instant.

۞ Innate Technique ⟴ Dismantle! ۞

Swoosh!

The air shredded like paper. An invisible slash split the thrown car in two, igniting the gasoline into a violent explosion that engulfed the area.

۞ Ghost Hand ⟴ Spectral Shield! ۞

Though Ichika instinctively closed her eyes, the flames never reached her. An invisible force blocked them three meters from her body.

With a single thought, Daiki cut through both the sea of flames and the Matsushita group leader.

The Zombie Devil, lurking among its minions, curved its lips slightly — as if unsurprised by this display of power. Like a master puppeteer, it commanded its elite Zombies to attack, including flying ones and other Devils it had transformed into puppets.

This infection ability was far beyond the normal scale.

Daiki landed at the Yukinoshita family compound and set Ichika down.

"Daiki-kun, are you alright?"

Yukino and Haruno both rushed over, concern evident in their faces.

While Ichika was just regaining her senses, Mrs. Yukinoshita — well-versed in human nature — raised her eyebrows in surprise.

Was it her imagination, or did both her daughters seem unusually concerned about him? More than mere friends or partners would be?

Mrs. Yukinoshita quickly dismissed the thought. She knew Haruno's nature — she would never allow such a thing. Haruno had already shouldered the family business to make things easier for Yukino. Even at the cost of her own happiness, she would never let her sister make such sacrifices.

"I'm fine. You all stay here." After pinpointing the Zombie Devil's location, Daiki stepped out of the compound again.

۞ Sky Walking! ۞

The Zombie Devil loomed formidable, its body wrapped in eerie muscles. Through his Far Sight ability, Daiki studied every grotesque detail — muscles forming a blurry human face, blood-red tissue rotting and stretching, exposing brain-like structures to the air. Its entire form radiated decay and danger.

"Human! Make a contract with me! I will grant you unrivaled power!"

As it raised its blurry limbs, rotting flesh and skin dropped to the ground with a sizzle. Daiki sensed a Sukuna's Finger's aura suddenly intertwining with another powerful Devil's essence, merging into something new.

For the Zombie Devil to stand its ground here, it must have had confidence.

Daiki raised his finger, unleashing an invisible slash.

۞ Innate Technique ⟴ Cleave! ۞

Before the creature could react, a ravine split its decaying body.

Rotten flesh and blood splashed onto the surrounding Zombies, instantly breaking down their muscle fibers and bones, corroding them from within.

The Zombie Devil stared blankly at the ravine in its body, then roared in rage, "Ignorant human! Since you choose death, then die!"

Floating in mid-air, it connected to other Zombies through blood vessels, surging forward like a tidal wave toward Daiki. Its decomposing body and flesh rained down, a grotesque sight that turned stomachs.

"Domain Expansion—"

۞ Domain Expansion ⟴ Malevolent Shrine! ۞

Daiki joined his hands, and the Domain Expansion burst from the ground.

In an instant, countless invisible slashes materialized throughout the air like a raging tempest, their deadly edges weaving an inescapable net of destruction. The ethereal blades danced and multiplied with impossible speed, turning the very atmosphere into a maelstrom of cutting force.

The elite Zombies at the front crumbled to dust under the invisible slashes. Nothing, living or dead, survived the onslaught.

Under these fierce attacks, the Zombie Devil's flesh was stripped away, its rotting bones shattered, marrow spreading throughout its body.

Thud!

At the brink of death, its new power activated unexpectedly. In an instant, the ground seemed to sink into nothingness.

When vision cleared, everything within the domain lay destroyed.

Whoosh!

A gentle breeze swept through the domain. The space around the Zombie Devil vanished completely.

The Malevolent Shrine had been shattered by its mere breath!

"Hehehehe..." Eerie laughter echoed through the heavens.

The Zombie Devil threw back its head in maniacal laughter. Its broken bones and rotting flesh fused back together, like a grotesque clay sculpture reforming after being trampled.

The watching Yukinoshita family members stood frozen in shock.

Domain Expansion was the proudest ability of Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers. Within a Domain, a Sorcerer's technique would strike without fail. Most battles ended in three to five rounds.

Theoretically, only three ways existed to counter Domain Expansion.

First was resistance through special techniques, like Simple Domain. Second was escaping the Domain's coverage. Third was overwhelming the opponent's Domain with a stronger one.

Yet no one had ever heard of breaking a Domain with just a breath!

"Kid, did you think Sorcerers were invincible? I've turned countless Sorcerers into Zombies! Now that your attack has failed, it's my turn!"

The Zombie Devil's body extended two arms wrapped in rotting flesh, slicing through the air like lightning toward its enemy.

BOOM!

Daiki dodged. The area struck by the Zombie Devil dissolved into decay.

"Is this the power that broke through my Domain?" His eyes narrowed slightly, but his expression remained calm.

The Zombie Devil noticed his composure.

Yet it felt no concern, for now it was invincible! Victory was certain!

Its back split open, revealing wings of rotting flesh — an ability stolen from a lesser Devil it had transformed.

"Let the game begin!" Its hellish whisper echoed in everyone's ears.

The Yukinoshita family members and Haruno turned pale — this Devil's power was overwhelming!

Before they could process their thoughts, the Zombie Devil lunged forward like lightning, its body wreathed in decaying gray energy that could dissolve even invisible slashes.

It hungered for the hunt.

"Wrong. The game is already over." Daiki's eyes gleamed with mockery.

The Zombie Devil had simply been unfortunate to strike at this moment. Though its power of Decay was formidable, it was far from invincible.

Daiki raised his palm and gently grasped at the void.

"Come!"

۞ Devour Spirit! ۞

As the words fell, a thunderclap echoed through heaven and earth.

The Zombie Devil's body crashed to the ground, rolling from its momentum as its soul was forcibly drawn into the vortex bursting from Daiki's palm.

It transformed into a gray Spirit Sphere, its swirling mist like an exquisitely crafted artwork.

Rather than devour it, Daiki dissected its fallen body and collected everything.
