Chapter 34:
Chapter 34:
As Qin Fei stood proudly on the sword platform, his sword pointed at Xiao Yang, righteously challenging him, an unexpected figure leapt out to confront him—Lin Wangchuan, the so-called fool and mischievous troublemaker in the eyes of their fellow disciples.
Xiao Yang couldn’t help but laugh at the sight. If Qin Fei wanted to challenge him and seize his position as the sect’s Holy Son, he would first have to get past Lin Wangchuan.
What Qin Fei didn’t realize was that the little monkey he had inadvertently injured was none other than Lin Wangchuan’s precious Violet-Eyed Spirit Monkey.
“Qin Fei! You think you deserve to be the Holy Son? Look at yourself in a puddle! Do you think you’re worthy?” Lin Wangchuan stood with one hand on his hip and the other pointing accusingly at Qin Fei’s nose, berating him furiously.
“Senior Brother Lin, what are you doing?” Qin Fei asked, bewildered by the sudden verbal attack, though anger simmered beneath his confusion.
“What am I doing? You don’t know what you’ve done?” Lin Wangchuan’s anger flared at the thought of his beloved Xiao Bai being injured.
“Xiao Bai is adorable and my best friend, and you injured him! You heartless scoundrel!” Lin Wangchuan’s rage only grew as he spoke.
“Disciple, stop this nonsense!” Elder Gu Feng, Lin Wangchuan’s master, quickly intervened, his expression grave.
The other elders turned their attention to Gu Feng, their curiosity piqued.
“Master, it was him! He’s the one who hurt Xiao Bai!” Lin Wangchuan pointed furiously at Qin Fei.
“Xiao Bai? Who’s Xiao Bai?” Qin Fei was utterly baffled.
The onlookers were equally curious. Who was Xiao Bai, and why was Lin Wangchuan accusing Qin Fei of harming him?
“He injured your Xiao Bai?” Elder Gu Feng’s expression darkened as he shifted his gaze to Qin Fei.
“You’re no match for him,” Gu Feng warned Lin Wangchuan with a heavy tone.
“Heh, Master, you don’t understand. Big Brother Holy Son taught me a few tricks yesterday. Today, I’m here to avenge Xiao Bai!” Lin Wangchuan said smugly, full of confidence.
“What?!” Elder Gu Feng looked at Xiao Yang in astonishment, as did the other elders.
Sect Master Jiang Qitian’s face darkened as his gaze fell coldly on Xiao Yang. It seemed clear to them now—Xiao Yang must have been the one to instigate Lin Wangchuan against Qin Fei.
“Junior Brother, you injured my little brother’s Xiao Bai. Shouldn’t you apologize to him?” Xiao Yang asked with a smirk, his tone laced with mockery.
“I…” Qin Fei was frustrated and confused. He had no idea who or what Xiao Bai was, let alone how he had injured it.
“Could it be the little white monkey from yesterday?” Jiang Ting suddenly chimed in.
“The little white monkey? The one from yesterday?” Qin Fei finally remembered. He had indeed injured a small white monkey the day before, but he hadn’t known it belonged to Lin Wangchuan.
“So you admit it! I’m here to avenge Xiao Bai!” Lin Wangchuan shouted as he leapt forward like a spirit monkey, pouncing toward Qin Fei.
“Hmph!” Qin Fei snorted, sending his Five-Element Sword flying toward Lin Wangchuan in a dazzling burst of multicolored sword energy.
To the crowd’s shock, the sword light pierced through Lin Wangchuan—but it was only a phantom.
“An illusion?” The five elders were taken aback, especially Gu Feng, who hadn’t taught Lin Wangchuan such techniques.
Qin Fei’s sword had struck only an afterimage. In the blink of an eye, Lin Wangchuan appeared behind him and aimed a kick at his backside.
Startled, Qin Fei stumbled forward to avoid the kick, immediately commanding his Five-Element Sword to counterattack. The multicolored sword light streaked through the air, slicing toward Lin Wangchuan with deadly precision.
But Lin Wangchuan moved with the agility of a monkey, darting and leaping to avoid the attacks with ease.
“What kind of movement technique is that?” The disciples were amazed by Lin Wangchuan’s agility, watching him dodge the sword strikes with seemingly impossible speed.
Even Qin Fei was shocked. His sword was incredibly fast, yet it couldn’t even graze Lin Wangchuan’s clothes.
“Elder Gu Feng, I didn’t know you had such tricks up your sleeve!” The Transmission Elder commented, his expression heavy as he watched Gu Feng closely.
Gu Feng, however, turned to Xiao Yang with a complicated look. He suspected correctly—this movement technique had come from Xiao Yang, who had taught it to Lin Wangchuan the day before.
Xiao Yang sat calmly, observing the battle. The technique, the “Thousand Transformations Monkey Movement,” was something Lin Wangchuan had created in their previous life by studying the movements of countless beasts and integrating them into his swordsmanship. He had also begun developing a “Ten Thousand Beasts Sword Art,” though it remained incomplete when he was tragically killed by Qin Fei.
This time, Xiao Yang had simply returned what was rightfully Lin Wangchuan’s, hoping to see the full potential of the Ten Thousand Beasts Sword Art realized.
On the platform, sword energy clashed fiercely. Qin Fei’s Five-Element Sword sliced through the air like cold lightning, relentlessly attacking Lin Wangchuan.
The chilling sword energy filled the arena, sending shivers down the spines of the onlooking disciples.
“So this is Qin Fei’s true power?”
But despite the ferocity of his attacks, Qin Fei couldn’t land a single blow on Lin Wangchuan.
“How is this possible?”
“His movement technique is faster than the sword?”
Lin Wangchuan laughed as he dodged, taunting Qin Fei with monkey-like agility. “You can’t hit me! You can’t hit me! Ha-ha!”
“Damn it!” Qin Fei growled, his patience wearing thin. He channeled all his power into a final attack.
With a deafening hum, his Five-Element Sword unleashed a dazzling burst of energy. The sword vanished, replaced by nine radiant orbs of light hovering above the platform.
“Nine Suns Above!”
The crowd gasped in shock. This was the ultimate killing move of the Azure Sun Sword Technique, capable of shaking the heavens and obliterating everything in its path.
The entire platform trembled under the immense power radiating from the nine orbs of sword light.
“This time, let’s see you dodge!” Qin Fei roared, fully controlling the nine radiant orbs as they converged on Lin Wangchuan.
“Ha! I’m so scared!” Lin Wangchuan laughed, seemingly unfazed.
As the crowd held their breath, Lin Wangchuan did the unthinkable. He dashed straight toward Qin Fei, diving beneath his legs and disappearing from view.
“What?!” Qin Fei was stunned, reflexively pointing his sword downward, sending a blast of energy at the ground to drive Lin Wangchuan away.
But Lin Wangchuan suddenly reappeared—behind Qin Fei.
To the crowd’s astonishment, Lin Wangchuan performed a move akin to a mischievous monkey: diving under Qin Fei’s legs and pulling a sneaky grab at his “peach.”
The crowd erupted in disbelief. Lin Wangchuan had executed the infamous “Monkey Steals the Peach.” The sheer audacity left everyone slack-jawed.
