Your Lord Has A Screw Loose?

Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Skeleton Warrior - Tier 1 Elite

```
[Instance Quest: Clear all Undead Troops in the training ground.]
[Reward: 1000 Experience Points.]
Upon entering the one-time instance named [Undead Tomb: No. 961 Skeleton Training Ground], the instance quest was refreshed immediately.
The reward was quite good at the beginning, with 1000 points requiring the killing of 100 low-rank troops to match it, which basically meant it was a giveaway.
Qin Muye's luck wasn't very good; he didn't trigger a 1% chance of a Hero unit or a Champion Level creature. Obviously, these two should be Boss-level units, and as a low-level, beginner-friendly instance, it was impossible for such high-level entities to appear.
Unless his luck was really good.
As Qin Muye entered the instance, he and his Champion Level Spirit Monster were teleported into the Skeleton Training Ground. It was spacious around, with three small squads of skeletons in training.
The three lead skeletons of Elite Level were clad in leather armor and wielding long swords, while ordinary Skeleton Soldiers were just wearing tattered rags, and their weapons were rusty blades. The difference between them was like that between refugees and regular troops.
But as long as it was a Rank 1 Troop, his Basic Reconnaissance Skill could see through them.
[Troop Type: Skeleton Warrior]
[Troop Rank: Rank 1 Elite Level]
[Life Value: 10/10]
[Attack Power: 3]
[Defensive Power: 2]
[Skill]
[Undead Creature: Immune to Poison, Mind Magic, and Fear, but cannot be healed or revived]
[Cold and Heartless: No morale]
[Hollow Body: A chance to dodge ranged damage]
[Elite Warrior: Attack Power +1, Defensive Power +1]
Qin Muye found that the Elite Level Skeleton Soldiers were actually renamed to Skeleton Warriors and had an additional Elite Warrior Skill. Normal Skeleton Soldiers likely just had three skills and respective attack and defense of 2 and 1, while the first three skills were the same as non-Elite Rank Skeleton Soldiers.
This caused him to wonder why his Spirit Monster, which had reached Champion Level, was still called a Spirit Monster, while the Skeleton Soldiers were renamed?
Was it because his Spirit Monster's advancement wasn't intervened by the "Lord Era" but was modified by Qin Muye himself?
The three Skeleton Warriors noticed Qin Muye and the Champion Level Spirit Monster and immediately led the 27 Skeleton Soldiers in a charge towards them.
With the Skeleton Warriors and Skeleton Soldiers combined, there were a total of 30—quite a number.
Upon seeing this scene, Qin Muye decisively turned around and ran away.
"I'll leave it to you, I have faith in you!!!" Qin Muye didn't forget to entrust the task to the Champion Level Spirit Monster while running.
The Champion Level Spirit Monster's face revealed a ferocious grin: "Don't worry, master, they're just some bones after all."
With that, the creature swung its Standard Long Sword and charged forward.
If it were a Rank 1 Champion Level Skeleton Soldier, perhaps he would be cautious, but against just three Elite Level Skeleton Warriors, they were really just pushovers to him.
```

With a defense power as high as 10, even thirty Skeleton Soldiers attacking together couldn't breach it, and under an attack power of 15, any bump or scrape would leave this group of Skeleton Soldiers missing an arm or a leg.

The long sword swung, cutting through the waist of the three Elite Level Skeleton Warriors that charged in the vanguard.

But undead creatures are not made of flesh and blood, and so they did not die from this. Instead, they struggled towards the Champion Level Spirit Monster with half of their bodies.

Seeing this, the Champion Level Spirit Monster did not hesitate to stomp on their skulls which blazed with Soul Fire, shattering them. Only when the Soul Fire splattered did they finally meet their end.

Observing the performance of the Skeleton Warriors, Qin Muye understood that Skeleton Soldiers, this type of undead troop, were essentially emotionless killing machines, with potential no less than that of Spirit Monsters.

Fearless in the face of death, their only weakness was the Soul Fire within their skulls; even if their limbs were removed, as long as the Soul Fire was not extinguished, they would not cease fighting.

With the skulls of all three Elite Level Skeleton Warriors crushed underfoot, they were no longer a threat to the Champion Level Spirit Monster. Although blowing their heads up might have been slightly troublesome, it was an utterly one-sided slaughter.

"Damn, how could there be any soldiers slipping through?" Qin Muye suddenly noticed five Skeleton Soldiers approaching him, which left him rather helpless, so naturally, he took to his heels.

With 0 attack and 0 defense, was he supposed to fight against these 2 attack, 1 defense Skeleton Soldiers? Was he asking for an early death?

The Champion Level Spirit Monster also noticed Qin Muye being chased and a ruthless glint flashed through its eyes. It picked up a Skeleton Soldier and flung it toward the five pursuing Qin Muye, scattering them to pieces.

The force behind the throw was immense, obliterating all six Skeleton Soldiers.

Seeing this, Qin Muye mustered his courage and walked over, picking up a skull, examining it. Despite being broken to pieces, it still tried to bite him.

"The core is the skull. Once the other body parts cannot be connected through the skeleton, they lose control by the Skeleton Soldier, which is quite interesting."

"Chop off all the Skeleton Soldiers' heads, then kill them at leisure."

Qin Muye instructed.

"Yes, Master!" The Champion Level Spirit Monster complied upon hearing the order.

He had encountered a group of Skeleton Soldiers before, but it was only ten of them, and it happened out in the wild, so he did not study them too closely. Now was a good opportunity to explore this further.

"It seems I'll have to establish a building for recruiting Skeleton Soldiers sometime. They would make top-tier laborers."

Undead creatures, particularly mindless undead like Skeleton Soldiers, are particularly suitable for heavy labor tasks. For example, when Spirit Monsters go out to scavenge resources, a large number of Skeleton Soldiers could help with transport, or later be used for farming, lumberjacking, and mining.

This cheap type of undead creature requires neither payment nor seems to experience fatigue, but they might need certain conditions to exist, perhaps.

Such as the Power of Death, for instance. The Skeleton Training Ground felt cold and gloomy, it was exceptionally chilly, as if it were a graveyard...well, the place was a graveyard.

As the Champion Level Spirit Monster crushed the skull of the last Skeleton Soldier that had joined the attack, it finally walked over slowly, "Master, the cleanup is finished."

That clearly meant only the skeleton head in Qin Muye's hand was left.

"No rush to kill it, come with me and let's take a look around this Skeleton Training Ground, see if there's any other gains," Qin Muye casually tossed the skeleton head to the Champion Level Spirit Monster.

After catching it, the Spirit Monster firmly pinned down the skull that wanted to bite him.

He felt that if the Skeleton Training Ground was not cleared out promptly, its difficulty might rise from Basic Rank 1.

If he came a few days later, the number of Elite Level Skeleton Warriors might increase, and there could even be a possibility of rank 2 Skeleton Warriors.

After all, this was a real world, not just a mere game.
