Chapter 15
Chapter 15: The Son of a Tycoon Livestreams Picking Up Trash:
When Su Chen came downstairs for breakfast, Su Zhenxing and Su Lili had already left for work.
Only Liu Yanran, Su Qiqi, and Su Mu remained at home.
Since all three of them had been embarrassed—either directly or indirectly—because of Su Chen the previous day, they purposely ignored him, hoping to make him uncomfortable. It was their way of getting back at him for what happened.
Unfortunately for them, Su Chen didn’t care about their attitudes at all.
He happily ate his breakfast, then found a woven sack from somewhere in the house. With his phone fully charged, he cheerfully walked toward the door, announcing, “Time to make some money!”
The three of them exchanged glances, confused.
What was wrong with Su Chen so early in the morning?
Make money?
What kind of money could a high school senior possibly earn?
Was he planning to do manual labor, carrying heavy loads for someone?
Liu Yanran sighed and shook her head.
Growing up in an orphanage really made him lack the elegance of a wealthy heir.
No child from an elite family would ever lower themselves to do such menial work for money.
None of them bothered to follow Su Chen.
They simply waited, convinced he would make a fool of himself soon enough.
Meanwhile, Su Chen was completely unaware of their thoughts—and even if he had known, he wouldn’t have cared.
With the sack in hand, he walked out of the Su family’s villa and looked around the neighborhood.
This was Century Jinyuan, a high-end villa community with vast grounds, containing fifty villas in total. Each villa was spaced fifty meters apart, and there was one trash bin for every five villas—meaning there were ten bins in the entire neighborhood.
The Su family’s villa was located in the easternmost part of the community. If Su Chen simply made a full round of the neighborhood, he could check all ten trash bins along the way.
Without wasting any time, he pulled out his phone, logged into his streaming account on A-Dou, and started a livestream with the title: “The Son of a Tycoon Picks Up Trash in a Villa Neighborhood.”
Then, with his woven sack in hand, Su Chen began his scavenging journey.
Thanks to the eye-catching title and the platform’s promotional boost for new streamers, within moments, over a hundred viewers had joined the stream.
“What kind of clickbait title is this?”
“Is this streamer really the son of a tycoon? Why would someone like that be picking up trash?”
“I don’t care if he’s a tycoon’s son or not—I just want to see if he finds anything valuable!”
“+1.”
“+.”
…
At that moment, Su Chen reached the first trash bin.
Reading the comments, he chuckled and answered while putting on gloves and digging through the bin.
“I am indeed the real son of a tycoon.”
“If you don’t believe me, feel free to check. The richest man in Haishi, Su Zhenxing, has a son named Su Chen. And guess what? That son looks exactly like me.”
“As for why I, the son of a tycoon, am picking up trash—well, there’s a reason for that.”
“When I was two years old, I was kidnapped by human traffickers. Fortunately, our country’s amazing police caught the entire trafficking ring. But since I was too young to remember where my home was, I ended up in an orphanage.”
“I only returned to the Su family two years ago.”
“But maybe it’s because I grew up among ordinary people—I don’t get any pocket money. And since I’m just a high school student, I have no other way to make money. So here I am, picking up trash to earn some extra cash!”
Suddenly, Su Chen’s eyes lit up.
“Look at this! A good find already!”
He pulled out a wristwatch from the bin.
“Weren’t some of you asking if I’d find anything valuable? Well, here’s something! And this is just the first bin!”
Holding up the watch, he examined it carefully, then beamed at the camera and brought it closer for a clear view.
“Take a look—it’s a Dior watch!”
“Not old, not broken—just used.”
“Not bad, not bad. A good find.”
Grinning, he tossed the watch into his sack.
The chat exploded.
“Holy crap, he actually found something good! I just checked, and this model sells for 10,000 yuan brand new! Based on its condition, it could easily resell for 2,000 to 3,000 yuan!”
“I looked it up too!”
“Damn, the streamer wasn’t lying—he really is picking up trash in a villa neighborhood. No way regular neighborhood trash bins would have stuff like this!”
“I don’t care about all that—Streamer, are you selling the watch? I’ll offer 3,000 yuan—deal?”
“I want to buy it too! Give your fans a discount!”
Seeing the comments, Su Chen grinned.
“Of course, I’ll sell it! No need for 3,000—I’ll let it go for 2,500 yuan. And I’ll sell it to the first person who asked!”
“In fact, from now on, whenever I find something valuable, the first person to offer a price gets it!”
“Whoever bought the watch, send me a private message. We’ll add each other on WeChat, you send the money and address, and I’ll ship it to you.”
The chat flooded with heart emojis and crying faces.
“The streamer is such a nice guy, giving his fans a discount!”
“I was too slow! That was such a good deal!”
“Next time, I’m making the first offer no matter what!”
“Keep going, streamer! We want more treasures!”
…
A wave of virtual roses and luxury yacht emojis filled the chat.
“Supporting the streamer! Keep going! Find us more great items!”
“+1!”
“+”
Su Chen finished searching the first trash bin.
Aside from the watch, there was nothing valuable—just a bunch of empty bottles, which weren’t worth picking up.
He quickly moved on to the second bin.
Moments later, his laughter echoed through the livestream.
“Haha! Haha!”
Su Chen held up an item, his face full of excitement as he brought it closer to the camera.
“Another great find!”
“Guess what this is?!”
In his hand, something gleamed under the light.
A gold necklace.
“Wow, this is from Gold Fortune Jewelry’s latest collection! It retails for 5,000 yuan!”
“Streamer, I want to buy it! I was first this time, right?!”
“Nooo, I wasn’t fast enough again!”
…
Su Chen continued searching the bin while responding to chat.
“Alright, the necklace goes to the first person who asked. I’ll sell it for 1,000 yuan. Just private message me, we’ll add each other on WeChat, and after payment, I’ll ship it.”
“But before sending it, I’ll get it tested to make sure it’s real.”
“Respect! The streamer is honest about verifying authenticity!”
“I trust the streamer—buying from him feels safe!”
“Next time, I will be the first one to offer a price!”
…
With high engagement and generous gifts from viewers, Su Chen’s livestream quickly gained traction.
At the same time, trending topics exploded:
