Chapter 333: The unmovable Dragon King
In the big dining room of the Dragon Castle, Sienna was eating her lunch in the presence of Thunder, the Dragon King. She stuffed herself with potatoes because she was not sure how long it be till she would get her hands on the food again and the King was kind of pushing the full bowls in front of her one after another till she was full. It seemed that her eating made him relaxed somehow.
When Sienna finally decided to finish eating, Thunder, who had rushed her before, awoke from his daze. He became somehow unsettled because he deeply relaxed as she ate and she stopped suddenly! He felt a surge of dissatisfaction pass through his body as if a new toy stopped working when he watched as Sienna pushed the bowl away from her with furrowed brows.
Sienna noticed his grumpy look, so she locked her blue eyes into his golden ones."Thank you, the food was lovely..." She smiled gently at him but her voice was firm.
"Hm, "he nodded. He looked distant again.
"Grumpy King."Sienna thought and felt the surge of wild energy coming from her heart and eloping her body. She smiled sweetly but her eyes glowed with tiger strength. "We see how much sweetness he can take!" her mind was getting tangled in her own little revenge. "I'm going to make him busy today!" she thought and her smile became wider. If she was not so kind and beautiful it could be called almost wicked, but the Dragon King did not notice when she turned to him sweetly.
"We have all afternoon left. Would you like me to help you to clean your library?" Sienna asked caringly.
"No."He grunted.
"So she'll we go for walk outside? The snow looks lovely." She asked excitedly.
"No, it is cold...you will get sick and die from it," he growled under his nose.
"Like you would care..."she thought with a slight pinch around her heart but continued her game."So, would you like to show me around your castle a little?" She asked curiously.
"No need..." he shook his head. All his castle was in the cleaning process and he was a bit embarrassed now...Not that he cared that much...but it was all messy and he did not want to risk more funny comments from her.
"So, what do you like to do in your free time? Any hobbies?" she tried to lead a conversation.
"No," he said boringly.
"Pity, I like painting and sewing. I would like to paint your dragon if you are not too busy. He is so beautiful. I always dreamed about seeing a live dragon..." She smiled softly.
"Sure, if you live long enough."He nodded.
"Aha.."Sienna smiled..."So you mean later..."She nodded eagerly as she tried to decode the block of a man.
"You are so positive." He grinned annoyed.
"I know my mate can do it..." she said confidently.
"We will see..." Thunder noted more darkly than painfully."You might go back to your room to rest."he added quickly before Sienna could ask him another question. He got this feeling that she decided to occupy his time and annoy him.He could feel the wildness seeping from her.
"Is she normally like this or is it some side effect from those potatoes?...."He thought as he was distracted by her confidence in Sarcos...it made him feel so uncomfortable.
"OK, will you take me, please?" Sienna asked softly.
"You can't find your way?" he asked annoyed..."I'm busy."
"I do not remember the way at all."Sienna puckered her lips a little dumbly...
"OK, I have a guard to take you..." he nodded seriously trying to keep calm. She was getting on his nerves now.
"Are you scared of me?"Sienna tilted her head...
"No." he furrowed his brows at her stupid question.
"Or do you think I will bite you? "she licked her lips. He was like a grumpy challenge and she was proving him on...He seemed more confused around her than before and she wanted to break it...
"No..., what's your point...?" He asked her grumpily.
"Nothing. I'm on my way..." she smiled sweetly and went to the door. The heavy carved wooden doors were enormous. Sienna tried to open them but they were stuck! She pulled the handle but it did not move at all! It was simply too heavy and rusty at the hinges...
Sienna glanced at the Dragon King who still sat behind the table watching her struggle coldly and knocked on the door.
"What are you doing?" He asked her curiously.
"Waiting till someone opens from outside?" She looked at him innocently.
"There is no one outside..." he shook his head and looked at her like at a weird person.
"Aha, so...that is great!" she sighed in relief.
"What?" he asked confused.
"I was starting to worry that you locked yourself with me..." she smiled at him cheekily.
"What are you insinuating?"He tilted his head.
"I do not know. Do you have any reason why would you lock us in here?"She asked innocently playing to her heart's content.
"No!" he stood up from the table abruptly."It is not locked!"Thunder walked fast to the doors and opened it easily.
"Wow, you are so strong." Sienna looked at him appreciatingly.
He stared at her speechless...
"Thank you. Can you please come with me to my room now, when the door is open already?" She smiled at him cutely.
"I told you that I'm busy," he growled. He could not handle much of her sunny personality while she was mocking him innocently. She was breaking through his layers of sadness because she was not willing to be ignored and it was so uncomfortable for him.
"I know, but in the rare case I will be able to find a way to the room you kindly provided for me, I'm not sure I can open the big corridor doors."She looked at him hopefully.
"You opened it on your way out, no?" he pointed seriously considering calling the guard." But then it would look like I'm scared of her! Oh, this woman!" he was cursing in his mind. She was annoying him like a mosquito trying to suck on his blood in his sleep.
"The guard was opening a set of really big doors too." Sienna pointed to him with her index finger like a teacher and Thunder had to agree, even against his will, that she looked so hopelessly cute.
"Why are you so weak?" He sighed in frustration.
"What? You do not like my company? You are the one who came to pick me up."She giggled!
Thunder frowned...the sound of laughter cut his ears like something forbidden...and too good to be true. It felt pleasant and that annoyed him even more...
"She is so cute!" his dragon's heart was beating loudly... "Say something funny, I want to hear more of it!" he ordered his human form.
"I swore not to laugh till my son is well again..."Thunder bit his lips as he thought.
"You did... not me... "the Black dragon sighed in King's mind. "Just take her back and stop being so stubborn ."The dragon shook his head and Thunder awoken from his daze. He noticed Sienna staring at him, waiting for his reply rather patiently and he felt like an old broken man! He felt as if his reactions were too slow and inadequate. It enraged him suddenly.
"Come then." the King tightened his lips sternly and led Sienna back through the fire-lit corridors. He was opening the huge doors quickly like in a line of the grumpy wind.
"He is mad now, maybe I overdid it..."Sienna thought as she walked almost running after him..."I hope Sarcos will be here soon..." she sighed in her mind. The corridors seemed neverending because now Sienna felt uncomfortable behind the grumpy King. He was acting unreasonably weird and it made her worried.
"Thank you..."Sienna said gently as he finally opened the door to her room.
"I would definitely be not able to find it by myself..." She turned to him but he slammed the door shut behind her so strongly that the gush of the wind moved her forward a few steps!
"Ahhh."Sienna screamed in panic...
"What?!"he opened the door again to check on her a little worriedly.
"Nothing! Why would you care?"Sienna shook her head as if she was disappointed in him..."Don't spy on me...!" she pouted her lips seriously while she walked away from the door laughing inside that he actually cared enough to check on her again.
"Good...just stay put!"Thunder growled and closed the door again more gently.
"Put...put...put...little chicken...put, put, put..."Sienna singed melodically the absolutely inappropriate mocking song which just entered her wild mind and giggled for herself a little crazily.
"Wait, what did she say? I'm not a chicken! I'm a dragon! Dragon! How can you do this to me?" The Black Dragon was raging in Thunder's mind. He felt wronged. Sienna's song was cutting deep into his proudness.
"Ignore her! I'm not opening that door again!"Thunder bit his lips. He felt belittled too but his head was messed up and he could not concentrate. Sienna's beautiful face was stuck in front of his eyes and the sound of her laughter cutting his heart painfully like thousands of tiny razor-sharp bells while her mocking song was ringing in his ears. Thunder felt the tornado of thoughts and emotions twirling in his brain as he walked down the corridors away from Sienna's room as fast as possible because she was burning him more than the fire he had inside of him! He could not concentrate on being sad and grumpy like he wanted in his self-imposed duty to his son which twisted his mind for past years. She was breaking his shell and it hurted like hell!
