Within Veiled Boundaries: Shroud Over Their Eyes.

Chapter 134: 130 Release the Zoo

She slurps at a tall milkshake, watching the passing traffic of people. She would look back down at her file papers. The secert ranker requests that no low ranks can handle. She peels the information freely and slurps away the milkshake content. She puts these to her shadow storage. She was mixing the last part. Her eyes caught glimpse of Omens bird, how he lands on the shoulders of Matthew. She watched their backs, sulking in not wanting to be a burden. She always ends up some burden to him. She stirs her drink in looking away.

"You're the only one with time access that isn't regulated by some kingdom or god watch." She smoothly stares to the mask seated in the reflection by her side.

"I am not the only one but the only one that can edit things that makes Ripples." She stirs her drink, "I am not needed." She slowly gazes the cafe window of moving traffic. There was some boring people in the crowd, wearing grey. She stares at them darkly in hating dull things. The mask stands abrupt in shock, passing to confront these grey people. She stays for the show, orders another item - being cake. She swings her feet and has a file removed from storage. Reading half interested and slipping to the scuffing the mask of Ender. The other two are enders that are fighting for space. She minds little that the current one she always knew was the Victor. These two defeated lay dead. She takes their tomes, with shadow snatching. She reads the content unfazed. They are soon sewn into her private collection, altering the two corpses as creatures. Once they became law abiding, they run to find a slice of life. She stares of some fancy tome work, loving the craft as art. The tome is tucked away to where she hide others. The waiter placed her cake to her table, takes the milkshake away. She slips away papers and enjoyed the cake. Feet never stopped swing this whole time.

"Damn!" Fusteration voiced by several hunters or reapers. Several look around seeking the work done. Plenty leave for better catching spots.

"Here." She shares her cake with the two newly added mice. The remains of the enders of collasped zones, "Welcome to the place of unpredictability. Time reverts and flips. Things reach and snatched souls if they arent clever to evade the monsters. Nothing is as it seems." She puts them, "You can leave onto the black sand if this universe isn't your jam. A vast ocean of breaking tomes, left over soul remains and creeps like me." They eat the cake she provided and they climb her shoulders, hiding in her hoodie. The air of this cake store turned icy. Chairs flew, kick tables and the building tensions of fear by others here. She continues eating her cake in peace.

"Tome keeper." She held the fork stabbed in cake at stop from the voice wavered.

"You have no business with me." She continues eating cake regardless of attention. She enjoys to the last bite, feet softly no longer swinging. She was right to the counter and paid her tab. Back completely away from the stranger. She takes the receipt and exits the cafe.

"If you don't know anything, then answer me a question." She heard from the cake store, shouted her way. She softly turns with a gentle smile. Inspecting every last detail of his look. A fallen god follower, ragged and worn. Some sorrow and terror. She looks him in the eyes, still that cold person that can't find trust.

"You cut the tie." She showed him, "I shouldn't be in your circle anymore." She softly lets the thread fray and fluster between them. She casts a spell in repairing his uniform, repaired the amulets and that hand flop made his hat return, "I am just out of reach, lingering at the brush of darkness. Waiting to catch you." She turns away, hands resting her hips, "Your quiet a hard fish to net. I love the challenge. So keep swimming, make it hard for me." She checked a last time, peering to how Omens hissed at her. She moves onwards to escape him. Omens steps from a god gate, narrow missing her shoulder. Omens staring around for Matthew and blocked her exit as an obstruction.

"She's messed up or something." The bird hissed, "That trickster isn't like the others. She holds no glory, fame or power among humans. Only something dirty lies at her hands. You don't belong at her claw."

"Leave it to be the total attention of the Abyss." Omens other form huffed, "She's been watching us a long time. I don't know why you find that scary. I find it comforting that there is a monster to make the others flee. A monster you can negotiate terms." Back to looking about Matthew, "Here." Casting a cleansing divine spell, repenting the sins that didnt matter. The status of fallen was removed, restored Matthew's ability to see. Able to see the hidden and afterlife beings. See what are not humans in the crowds. His restored status attracted plenty to crowd him and prayers. Drowned by the many needing to know his ok and if he was safe. Brought into the cake store for a order. Her mask still seated in the reflection she been before, still reading the annoying papers requests and the issues of her being human this causes. Her mask watched the lively crowd no longer sweet of fear. She takes these papers and leaves for somewhere heavy of negative energy.

"Beloved lady summoning, transportation between veils. Taker from hidden." She chalk draw a circle, "I wish not transportation but rather to give you prayer. To lavish your grace in hands." She began throwing plenty of meaty hands into the ring.

The hands are exchanged with items tossed aside. Random buttons and missing armour sets. She managed a large meat hand into the smal circle and this was when Summons took the girl. Dressing the spirit side of the girl with everything equally useful. The humans side soon painted and cloaked with tattoos that shows the favour from sigil path keepers. So many items are exchanged. Lifting the newly appointed saint back to human realm, thick of charms amulets of hidden gods. Several of her requests from the guild have been formally completed, which was her next need to go. She give devoted bow to Summons leave, a warm smile as the chalk was gone with a gust of air.

"Here." She when direct to the private guild master office, dropping the finished requests. Doesn't bother with middle people like the receptionist desk, as she was automatically authorized to enter the head office. She picked up some interesting information from the desk as the guild leader reads the finished stamp requests and both her and him puts the papers back down, "This will settle things quickly."

The master of the guild sighed in relief. He paid her with access scrolls and some court allowances. Keeping her except from crimes that normal meant trespassing and abduction. The sort of titles demons use to excuse themselves from human courts or are excused in spirit court for as along it was in service as court employee. She finds routes of where she will be needed, knowing the realms she will be passing are perfect opportunities to hide the creatures back in the order of law. The Cog rank god eaters that gaurding boundaries needing putting back were they settle. Her excuse to find evidence in God realms, ruthless hellscapes and purgatory lands that edge dream lands. There isn't worry of her not having the reach to place the hatchings. She gave a warm heart wave on exiting, evading shoulder brushing of someone else passing to walk in. She scans the upset god vessel as they slam the guild leaders office door. She never missed her stride leaving, hood lifted and back into the tower mage mall. Making a short rest with paying for a smoothie.

"Penheart!" She scans the confused mages each and lifted, right hand to hip and left hand with smoothie. She shurgs coldly and steps forwards to the small mob.

"There it is. Here I was wondering where my mask ran to." She takes up the doll shape and magic pulled the two bodies into one. She takes a moment in getting her thought straight and lowered in picking up dropped files. She quick stacks, tap straighten and skim reads all documents. Standing with everyone else.

"Penheart? Are you a human?" She closed the files.

"Let's get a move on. You have court." She tilts checking the crowd that been following her shadow, "If you think I going to save you lot from your sin, then your damned. There some sins I don't mess with. I don't judge or play around." She tucked the files safely under arm, "Loki!" The Bird shape smash face first into her face. She gives him plenty of attention as he looses his mock shape. Once the thing rolled to her free arm for baby time. She gave no attention to anyone else. It was loki that hissed and nearly bite a stranger. Three Jaws open. She head taps him and puts him down. A string of sounds that this loki pouted. She looked around who was that stupid and stares unsurprised of meeting Joseph's gaze.

"You." He whines, "Where have you been? What happened to the names?" He pulled her arms.

"Don't worry about that. Everything is back. Your looking through the wrong covers." Left hand jabs his arm. He frowns as her being able to do something so human and it affect him, "I told death last time. It took him a while to just shurg and move on. One the very few concept gods that knows what's up." She stands cross arm and nods as she says that. The crowd stare bewildered of her not answering what seems important.

"analysis." A sigil casting and she blocked it with just a hand pose.

"Rude to check a women's personal information without permission. Especially to a mythos rank and lower." She circles at this god follower, "Don't bother testing me. I will only make tangles out of your resolve. Monsters from the break of law don't follow common sense." It's clear they didn't understand her words but it's fine.

"Trixie, this isn't the time to be mysterious. You have the information we need." She shurgs at this and looked about his state. She warmly smiled, glad that his ok. Although she tilted at the bad fortunes and the lacking of Omens. She had even frowned in looking around for Omens.

"I can't find him." She nods at this and takes a while in tome checking in private use of her shadow. A few nods and finally a smile back.

"His fine or at least his soul is ok. We don't know if his actual fully ok. For now, every part is content and slowly gathering. Maybe it's a rest period. Gods have rest periods. Maybe I could be a little rude and snap him back to the waking world. But this can mess around with things. We don't want that." Matthew stared at her strangely. Taking a few moments of getting over that reply. As there small details that he didn't want to hear. Nervous as he may, he started walking the group to a direction. She couldn't help but pull him from evading a magic casting, this spell has no visible affect but she can see the flows and knew it happened. He didn't understand why she pulled him back. He scales the direction he evaded and the glare of some demon.

"Keep your charms to yourself." She hissed at the demon and they posed surrender and in narrowed gaze at knowing she's not as she seems. Most demons feel the same instinctive fear as humans do to things beyond themselves - this is a case except. The deal the devil made was broken upon having faced her just now. Making the contractor elsewhere feel the price. Matthew understands now, she able to see things they all can't - putting some perspective of that maybe her strange habit of loving unseen creatures isn't crazy. As most creatures aren't visible to even gods like Omens.

"Trixie. You're able to read the tomes." He guessed.

"Why would I want to do that? I have much better uses then just reading." She wafted the bad creature off his shoulder. She snatched one really bad one and tossed it to her loki. Loki purrs and eats the unseen. Matthew seeing that loki was eating whatever she took off him made him more concerned, yet not to avoid her.

"Nightmares fear." She heard from a raven and she turns offering an arm for it. It leaps and spat a message for her, flew away swiftly. She stared at the mysterious message. Frowns a lot on not understanding why she has this crystal. She stabs it through herself and thinks nothing of it. She feels that reality's law didn't play to the object - not making her bleed from self harm. Rather it just added to herself, melting into her. She knows this message will bring about something when it matters to.

"Eliza Fallown or Lauren Fallown." He voiced concern. She looked at him directly and with a shurg in not sure he was asking for, "Where is she?"

"Right in front of you. What? You forgot what my other titles are? Or you just lacking yours." She crossed arms at him with a pout.

"No. That's the name of the current core tome keeper."

"And if I want to rip time and space. Break the matter between atoms, sure." She punched his arm, "Sheesh, I am hiding in plain sight. Why else would they think of me a nightmare?" He holds her shoulders in wanting to shake some sense into her, "I don't take the book out in this light. Summoning material that doesn't belong among humans, living realm... what have you. It's very dangerous." He twirls her to follow them through the tower up the stairs and through several school office looking maze sections. At reaching their destination, he made her sit at the table first. Sits down next to her sighing, head to desk. She watched him more then bothering with the not humans also present. She makes some slide glances of others, auras and fortunes. Bunch of fragile fate threads and a newly made sin chain that's slipping a link at a time towards them. She just felt she needed to poke it, and it dusted instantly. She looked away bored.

"Penheart... not? Who are you?" She sighed darkly as now she wonders if she wearing a disguise or has spell over her that preventing identification.

"Trickster!" One hissed.

"Bless you." She rudely returns, "Need a water with that?" The room slowly seated of other busy bodies and she able to see other important stuff. Like the dragonfly monarch and the several of her merchant trades. She finger guns at them all joking and they do that formal requesting to trade law layout gesture. She of course returned this gesture in proving herself a reliable being. Matthew stares in shock in how perfected she is at this gestures depth. It's clear that she fluent in this, almost a native second language for her.

The big demand was undertaker ward candles and black sand. There a merchant here for the summoning god eater candle. The guy that trades for broken rings. None were tome page trades or anything outside laws of reality. She fluently was poker face and made the right demands of upping the prices in some goods. She followed enough trends of law to know when price hikes happen.

"I want something of an amulet. One that will ward away gods." She refused trade with this guy particularly as that's dangerous material. She dares not in front of god followers and alliances. The stranger here stares confused of this ordeal.

"Does it make sense that I would have anything like that?" She asked the man. He stares deeply and then nods, "You know my darkness then. The titles I infamous for." He nods soft but slowly, "depends on the god your preventing. I can't trade anything that universal. There's consequences. To play with the internal law is to invite unwelcomed outsiders. Things are done with unseen reason. Held with purpose, regardless of common sense or not."

"But you mean that you do have such a material and your not putting it to sale?" He pointed at her.

"I have uses for it and don't need you screwing up the care I made to protecting this place." She retorts and eased in how they all felt fear of that voice change. She glares, "I can't sale." She stares on others and with inspecting their discomfort and confusion. She flexed her hand a little with her left hand joint pops in the wrist.

"Can we have permission to access the magus manuscript?" The Glader asked.

"Depends on how stupid you want to be. The runic language is very literal. It is beautiful and terror." She tilted at the side of thinking about it, "My favourite words in there are the horrible stuff." She has a moment of recalling some deep thought, "Dark raspberry coffee." She nods to herself, "Anyways. The basic elements are easy to understand without the manuscript, why else would you mages have build a society of magic use?"

"You're not a normal soul. That's isn't something human to comment in." A demons voiced, "Even the damned have a limit."

"They eat negative energy." She points to the demon, "Demons and devils tend to take desires. Angels take the excessive good energy. There are other examples." She stares about looking around for what the hidden want her to do and say. She caught spot of one giving her a sign to not trade any physical objects. She gladly has not finalize any deals. All it left in the air and without agreement. She instead was saddling some their pockets with god eater eggs, since they were on route to where these eggs go. Easier then her locked in human shape to cross those boundaries, it has risk but it's not anything she can't handle. The hidden give her the thumbs up that she did enough and she retreated her shadow and aura off them all. She sees they only now felt that something was a little off. That they been so absorbed into conversation that the finer detail wasn't paid attention with. She eased with watching the crowd talk among themselves, trying to rack their brains of what happened. That time had a major slip as tomes were erased and new ones lifted. She enjoys the things these folks think they know and their assumptions of the how the plain energy's clash. To be fair, she doesn't really know either but as least doesn't claim to be certain of outcomes. Equally she knows better based in her abilities to see and feel these no reaction ones that pave movement from the energy that does matter. She doesn't have it all figured out and doesn't want to know either. Content in being clueless.

"Why are you frowning?" She shook away her slide deep expression.

"Just enjoying the chaos." She shrugs and sees that Matthew finally is sitting up. He deadlocked with many of the room. Throwing his hands at the table, pulling case files and tons of finished request works. Plenty of things they were about to ask, answered in the mess. The undertakers take the time to process, lay a summary. They stopped time around them to magically made this summary report for the humans to digest, while the undertakers in-depth time to go through it all. She wasn't affected by time stop and was fully leaned laze by the time the humans can get the hands on it all. She was playing about her left hand with a pencil, having marked some random notes across the papers.

"It's true that your a Fallown." The dragonfly monarch nods freely, "We can agree with the death domain laws that your separate Neutralized ground. Even separate from death's court." There is plenty here that object towards ever trusting her, in spite of the mountain of paperwork before them that suggested otherwise. They all speaking without filter, each their own language and without thinking she couldn't understand them all. Sadly, she can see and hear every; undertaker, demon and human whisper. Plenty of issue made sense, like her being a magnet for things going strange. Encounters with things they have no way of fighting or understanding. Mostly that her human ties to life are to tight wrapped. No unweaning the past and no changing future events. She knows they were held back on something major, something yet to be. She has already felt it was always to be and that she was not making it any sort of regret.

"You understand this is all due to the trial with gods." Omens speaking through the haze of whispers. She gave that slow blink indication that she is aware and didn't want the room to freak on her, "You are an enigma that is unfathomable." She gentle tilted into a smile hint as in enjoying the compliment. She sees the goddesses at work; fate, space and time. She sees the paper work erased parts at a go. But then more other occurrences would pile in a larger bulker replacement. So they would revert back and hit another snag, altering the paper piles to shrink and fill.

They got very far back and right to the first dated documents; these changes lift and lower. Clashed and melted away to only pull forwards worse waves. She sits enjoying this. The echo of the black sand beach. She pays no mind of out this ocean threatens to sink her in the depth. Unafraid of the darkness and cold. The way her soul finds itself part of this ecosystem, a member of the sea bottom dewllers. She watched all her worth possession disappear to the depths. Her everything filter into the reach.

"Special agent?" She lifted her head up, no longer staring down at someones feet. She can hear this was a training camp. Just in how she shallow breaths and sweat drips. She way things ached and the pain of old wounds. The scars from outside this universe have etched reminders over her. In squaring into the eyes of the mage instructor, the echo what will seem as death's many faces. She tongue tied, dry throat and barely focused.

"That's all she can do? Hardly special." She manages a smile, standing back up straight and with just working with all she is given. She reasons no need to speak words. Instead to stay brave and strong even if she has hardly anything left. She cant see that well but enough to find the eyes of those in front of her. She caught hold of her whole self, a breath of ease for only now. She see held that defince that they hated. They indeed met it with knocking her at the kneels. Punched in the stomach and a spary of blood drips her mouth. The two stand proud of this being the point of breaking her. And yet, she wabbles back up. Blood smile. Her eyes met theirs again.

"Give me that!" Her world veiw watched the way her body doesn't follow her head. It bumps the floor and rolls a little. Her body jolts in stepping back into a kneel and almost forwards. But her hands reached around her face and hugs. body finds balance. Standing again. She poses her head about to the right way, neck met back held there. These men coward at the floor away from her, kicking mud and stone to distance themselves. They screamed loud.

"Wake up." She lifted her head from leaning the table. A classroom. Faceless everyone. Bodies pose and posture. She's just a dot in a crowd. She plays along the puppet show. Drawing things on paper at the desk and occasionally looking up to the teacher posturing. She sees through a frosted window of the classroom. There is still a land of dream world. She knows there only one escape from this dream. She takes the effort of her soul threads to detach this vessel, spooling it into a neat rolled thread ball. She then attempts leave, walking out of this frosted room. Escaping the nightmare realm prison.

"Is there any objections to be heard of this case?" her head lifted. She is the one in bound chain of sin as an undertaker. In just seeing these faulse lies. She dug deep into herself at her stubborn trait. The link snapped and melt. Breaking into puddle goop. Her undertaker body stand free.

"I can only admit what things I know are true." She lets the link lift at her hands that barely remains. She posed in upholding these things that mattered, "These are mine." She hugs these chains, "Am I wrong to cherish these things?" the court are clearly baffled. She wears these chains and are a part of her. The court minister hissed in making some wrong turn of his own. She finds to be the one stood proud in the sea of current waves. A coral reef that bends and shelters the wary. Her last attached god eater slips among its place in this universe. Placing back the core tome pillar holds from right under their noses. Her purpose of return meets its end.
