When a God of Destruction Was Reincarnated in Tensura:

Chapter 75: Orc Lord

Rimuru was sitting under a tree, enjoying the tranquility of the day, when Souei suddenly appeared from the shadows, kneeling before him.

"Rimuru-sama," Souei said with a calm but urgent tone. "I have news. I've seen a large group of Orcs moving toward the Lizardmen's residence. It does not appear to be a friendly visit."

Rimuru closed his eyes for a moment, processing the information. "Orcs, huh? Interesting. Keep monitoring them, Souei. Let me know the moment there are any significant changes."

"As you command," Souei replied, disappearing into the shadows without a sound.

Rimuru leaned back against the tree, his mind racing. Orcs on the move… What are they planning? And why target the Lizardmen? This could turn into something big… or maybe an opportunity.

Later that Day

Souei reappeared in Rimuru's presence, kneeling once again. "Rimuru-sama, I've gathered more information. The Orc army is far larger than we initially thought—around 300,000 in total. Approximately 5,000 of them are advancing toward the Lizardmen's settlement, while the remaining force is heading in the direction of our village."

Rimuru raised an eyebrow. "300,000? That's a huge army. What else did you notice, Souei?"

Souei's normally calm demeanor shifted slightly, a hint of unease in his tone. "Their behavior is unlike anything I've seen. They are ravaging everything in their path—destroying forests, consuming anything edible, and even… cannibalizing their own dead to sustain themselves."

The room grew quiet as Rimuru processed this horrifying information. "Cannibalizing their own…" Rimuru muttered, his tone darkening. "Something's driving them to do this. This isn't normal behavior for Orcs."

Souei nodded. "It's as if they're being controlled or driven by something… perhaps a greater power."

Rimuru stood at the head of the meeting hall, his expression calm but serious as he addressed the group assembled before him. Madox, sat with a furrowed brow, his muscular frame tense with thought. Benimaru leaned back in his chair, his fiery red eyes glowing with curiosity, while Shion stood behind Rimuru, her hand gripping the hilt of her massive sword. Rigurd, Ranga, and the other village powerhouses listened attentively.

"I've called you all here because of a report from Souei," Rimuru began. "He's observed a massive army of Orcs—around 300,000 strong—marching through the forest. A smaller detachment is heading toward the Lizardmen's territory, but the main force seems to be moving in our direction."

Gasps filled the room. Madox frowned deeply, his hand stroking his chin. "Rimuru-sama, this is very strange. Orcs typically roam in smaller groups. An army of this size… it can only mean one thing: they're being controlled or led by someone. And if that's the case, it's highly likely we're dealing with an Orc Lord."

Rimuru tilted his head curiously. "An Orc Lord? What's that?"

Madox nodded grimly. "An Orc Lord is a unique evolution of the Orc species—a being of incredible power and influence. Orc Lords only appear once every few hundred years. They can rally and command massive armies, and if the reports of cannibalism are true, it's likely because of the Orc Lord's unique skill: Starved."

Benimaru's sharp gaze turned to Madox. "Starved, you say?"

"Yes," Madox confirmed. "It's a terrifying ability. The Orc Lord's skill drives its followers into an insatiable hunger. They'll devour anything—plants, animals, people, even their own comrades. But the more they eat, the stronger they become. This is why their army grows more dangerous with every passing day."

Shion slammed her fist on the table, her eyes blazing with fury. "Then we need to stop them before they reach us! I say we march out now and cut them down!"

"Easy, Shion," Rimuru said with a raised hand, calming her. "We're not rushing into a fight without understanding the full picture."

Benimaru spoke up, his voice steady but thoughtful. "This behavior makes me wonder… Could this Orc Lord be connected to that Majin Gelmud? He once visited our Ogre village, claiming to be a lieutenant of the Demon Lord's army. He offered to name us, but something about him felt… wrong."

Rigurd, who had been quiet until now, suddenly looked up. "Rimuru-sama, that name—Gelmud—it sounds familiar. I believe he's the same Majin who named my son. I always wondered why someone like him would name a Goblin… Perhaps it's not a coincidence after all."

Rimuru frowned, his mind racing. "Gelmud, huh? So we might be dealing with more than just an Orc Lord. There could be a bigger scheme at play."

Before Rimuru could say more, one of Souei's spies appeared silently, bowing respectfully. "Rimuru-sama, forgive the interruption, but someone is requesting to join this meeting."

Rimuru raised an eyebrow. "Who is it?"

The spy replied, "A Dryad."

The room fell into stunned silence. Madox's eyes widened in shock, and Shion gasped audibly. Benimaru's usual composure cracked as he sat up straighter. "A Dryad?" he repeated. "Are you certain?"

"Yes," the spy confirmed. "She wishes to speak with you directly."

Rimuru crossed his arms, intrigued. "Alright, let her in."

Suddenly, the center of the table began to glow with a vibrant green light. Vines and flowers sprouted from nowhere, weaving together to form a humanoid shape. Within moments, the figure of a beautiful Dryad emerged, her long green hair flowing like cascading leaves, and her golden eyes glowing softly. She knelt gracefully before Rimuru.

"I am Treyni, a Dryad of the Jura Forest," she said, her voice melodic and soothing. "It is an honor to meet you, Rimuru Tempest."

Rimuru smiled warmly. "The honor is mine, Treyni. To what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?"

Treyni rose, her expression solemn. "The forest is in grave danger. The Orc Lord and his army are ravaging everything in their path, threatening the delicate balance of life here. We Dryads are the guardians of the forest, but even we cannot stand against such a force."

Madox frowned. "Even the Dryads can't handle them? That speaks volumes about the Orc Lord's power."

Treyni nodded. "Indeed. That is why I have come here, Rimuru Tempest. You are the only one who can stop the Orc Lord. I humbly request your aid in defeating him."

The room fell silent as everyone turned to Rimuru. He leaned back in his chair, considering her request. "You're asking us to take on an Orc Lord and his 300,000-strong army? That's no small task."

"I understand the enormity of this request," Treyni said, bowing her head. "But I believe in your strength. You've created a sanctuary for monsters—a place where all races can coexist. If anyone can save the forest, it's you."

Benimaru stood, his fiery aura flaring up. "Rimuru-sama, I think we should accept. The Orcs are a threat to everyone, not just the forest. If we let them continue, they'll destroy everything in their path—including us."

Shion added, "And if we defeat the Orc Lord, it'll show everyone the strength of our village. We'll gain more allies and expand our influence."

Rimuru looked at Treyni, his expression thoughtful. "Alright. We will do it".

Treyni's face lit up with relief. "Thank you, Rimuru Tempest. You have my eternal gratitude. I will assist you in any way I can."

Rimuru smiled. "Then let's get to work. We have an Orc Lord to deal with."
