What's wrong with me?

Chapter 25: CHAPTER 24

"Trinity, please calm down before..." "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?" Tyrone looked towards the dragon lord, than an Trinity, and continued, in a lower voice, "...he comes here."

Everyone bowed down, as the dragon lord made his way to the arena, followed by Marcus and a few other council members.

Trinity still held the other end of the whip, and Stacey was now on her feet. The air held a stench of sweat and blood, and the wind carried dust with it everywhere.

"What's happening?" the Dragon Lord questioned, looking at Trinity and Mason.

"My lord, these two girls were talking when they were supposed to be training. I just let my whip talk and she grabbed hold of it," Mason replied quickly.

Now the dragon lord stared at Trinity, so she began explaining, "My lord, we just met and were saying hi, while still running. We never stopped or anything."

"You have to take this training seriously, Miss Grove. You know why we're doing this," Marcus said, staring at her.

"No. I don't know why all of the dragons are being sent to the hospital bed when we need them here; unless someone wants us to lose if we go to battle," Trinity said looking straight at the dragon lord.

"What is it you are trying to say?" The Dragon Lord asked, breathing heavily.

Before Trinity could say anything, a horn could be heard, and as everyone looked towards the entrance of their training grounds, three people were dragged in; one man and two woman. They had their hands bound behind them by ropes, and were pulled by two of their men, while a third one lead them straight to the dragon lord.

Marcus quickly whispered something into his masters ear. Trinity looked at Tyrone and saw him staring in shock.

"My lord," the three men bowed low before continuing, "These three were lurking on our property," the lead dragon said, as the others threw their prisoners at his feet.

"As far as I know, you had been warned not to return," the Dragon Lord said, staring at the people at his feet, trying to get up.

"We just came to ask for permission," Eric said, still squirming. "I believe this property belongs to you, so can we talk?"

"No, you're not allowed to...." "Sir please, we really...." "How dare you talk while I was talking," boomed the masculine old man. He had never been disrespected like this before, and Eric unknowingly did something that would get him killed.

'Trinity, I have a plan' Tyrone mindlinked his mate, and she listened while he told her his plan, as she still followed what the dragon lord said.

"There's no need to get angry, I just...." "Mr Eric, it isn't your place to give suggestions. It's rude to cut people off mid sentence," Marcus scolded the young man.

"Look, I don't know..."

"That's enough! You come to my home and talk disrespectfully with my people. I won't tolerate this anymore," the Dragon Lord seethed, his voice shaking with anger. "My people, these three disrespected us by sneaking in. Then he had the odesity to cut me off while I spoke. What should be their punishment?" he asked, looking at his people.

A chorus of "kill them" echoed through the crowd.

The crowd fell silent as a laughter could be heard. No one knew why someone would laugh at a situation like this.

"Is something funny, Miss Trinity?" Marcus asked, looking at her in confusion.

"You all think killing them would be the end of things, right! That's not how things work in the human world. Killing them would only rise a mob to come looking for them, and they'll burn this place to ashes before we comprehend what's going on; and not to mention that more that half of us is in hospital," Trinity replied, still laughing.

"So....what? do we just let them walk away?" asked Tyrone.

"So they can lead the mob here themselves? They've seen and heard too much. We cannot risk that, can we," Trinity said ironically.

"I believe you have a preposition than?" asked the lord of all dragons.

"One of us needs to make sure that they call their boss and tell him they're safe, without giving him any clue about their situation. Next, we have to make sure they don't escape," Trinity replied. "If we have a safe place from which they cannot get out and where someone can keep an eye and an ear at them, throw them in there."

"Dungeon, dungeon, dungeon...." first one, than two, then the entire crowd said in unison.

"Very well. Throw these worms, along with Miss Trinity into the dungeons," the Dragon Lord commanded, and before anyone could object, they were dragged away.

"Who are you people?" Eric questioned Trinity as soon as the guards left. He had suspected that something was off about this girl when he had seen her eyes glow orange the other night; but now he was sure that they weren't normal people.

"I'm the one who's going to rescue you, under one condition-" Trinity replied, pausing to see their faces. "-You'll take us to Mr King."

"And what if I say 'no'," the man said, staring at her, challenging her to convince him.

"In that case, I can always call the guards and tell them that you tried sending an S.O.S. and you know what they'll do to you," Trinity said, her lips curled in a victorious smile.

"Go ahead. Call them." It was now Eric's turn to smile, as he saw the other girl loose hers.

"Guards, G..." "Ok, fine. Stop," the girls immediately called out in panic. "We'll do what you say, but how do we know we can trust you?" Abigail asked.

"You don't." She turned toward Eric, and asked, "Will you take us to see Mr King?"

"Who's 'us'?" Susan ask, raising her eyebrows.

"My boyfriend."

Eric, Susan and Abigail looked at each other. They were tired and sore because of being dragged; and they also had bruises on their body. If this girl could help them out, they were willing to take any risk. "Yes. If you help us escape alive, we'll take you to Mr King."

"Great. We just have to wait until it gets dark enough. I hope the guards don't hear us," Trinity said happily.

"What is your plan?" Abigail asked, doubtfully.

"We'll fly out..."Trinity said smiling. "Just wait and watch."

When it was dark, and Trinity felt safe to execute their plan, she asked Eric, "Do you still have that video?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I want to watch it."

"Now?"

"Yes! now," Trinity replied, impatiently. If this guy keeps asking questions, maybe she won't need to watch the video to get angry enough to summon Dragonia.

"I thought..." "OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD..." Trinity began, but stopped when she saw the horrified expression on her cell mates faces.

"What the hell..." They were almost screaming, but at the same time trying to stay calm. They couldn't believe their eyes.

"Whatever you do, don't distract me," Trinity said, as she felt her inner dragon appear.

The three humans watched in horror as they saw the most unbelievable thing. A huge, orange dragon stood in place of the girl they were talking to a minute ago and she was torching the iron bars, which was melting away like ice-cream on a hot day.

The air in the cell was so hot that the humans were sweating profusely, while shaking in fear, only hoping that the human still remembered them in her dragon form.

They let out a loud scream, as the dragon turned towards them. They all heard the main entrance door creak open, as in walked two guards. They were surprised by the sight before them, and stood watching, as the humans were thrown out of the hole, then Dragonia also slept out through the opening, with the guards shouting and cursing behind them.
