Wang An Leiji (Yang Leiji) (What If I Was In Martial Peak)

Chapter 527: Post-Breakthrough Events (1)

The patch of grass was rather small, even so, it was such a foreign sight in the vastness of the Ink Battlefield that it was hard not to be interested in it. The Dragon Emperor flew in close to inspect it.

"It's not normal grass, it seems to be imbued with a potent thundering energy. Any ink force that comes into contact with it very well may be destroyed. And there also seems to be something else about it… Sister Empress, are you sensing it too?" The Dragon Emperor asked, not wanting to make a call on it due to how shallow the feeling was.

Flying down and transforming, to get as close as she could. She reached out and rubbed her hand along the grass. A warm sense began to flow her way, her source grew stronger. It wasn't nearly enough of an effect to lead to massive increases in battle strength. However… "This grass, I wonder how to explain it… I don't have the words to express it to you. You'll have to feel it yourself." She answered, removing her hand from the grass, the grass appearing a slight bit weaker.

"Very well, then…" The Dragon Emperor transformed and performed the same actions. His eyes bulged once he noticed the effect. Removing his hand, he and the Empress stood up and each had a similar bead of sweat. "With something like this here, it's possible another Divine of both of our clans will rise far more quickly than originally expected." He said. "Unfortunately I don't have the words to explain what it did either. But I'm sure I can convey it to the clan, are you the same?" He asked.

"Yeah, that won't be difficult. But should we use this… It may be the key to breaking past the Divine limit. Which may well be something we should go after." The Phoenix Empress suggested. "With a creature like that as a potential enemy, as we are now, it would take a huge gamble of both our clans just to have enough to get away and continue surviving." She added, looking directly into the Dragon Emperor's eyes.

"I agree with you to some degree. However, if it is the key… As you seem to think, there is no way it could handle both of us reaching that level at the same time. And there is no certainty that it's even possible to begin with." The Dragon Emperor rebutted.

"That's true, we would likely have better luck asking for those two to help aid our growth instead." The Phoenix Empress nodded in agreement. "In that case, I'll decide on a proper competition for my clan to have as the next Divine Phoenix. I have one in mind right now, but she is still a little short of it. And there aren't any males among my clan that have a hope of reaching the Divine Phoenix Realm. That's just how our reproduction works. A shame really since…" She started saying and then touched upon a thought… One she and the Dragon Emperor both had at the same time.

"We should find a match for the strongest of each clan. Perhaps if a child born of two Divine realms… They might have a similar result to that young Yang Leiji." The Emperor and Empress both said at the same time.

"Good, we are in agreement. I'll find a young single male, since my clan has a more opposite issue to yours." The Dragon Emperor explained, and went off to search for the right one.

"And I'll find a perfect match… Hmm, a young female among my clan… at one time in the past I may have suggested my own granddaughter. However, since she has been taken by that young man already… This might prove a bit harder. Oh well, I'm sure there are other reliable ones… That's right!" The Phoenix Empress muttered, then remembered the husband catching games from years ago. "There were several worthy young women among those attempting to catch that young man. And there was a girl, in the third remaining pair that had almost nearly managed to grab hold. I think she might just be perfect for this. Now, will she go for it, I wonder?" She spoke to the void before flying off to find that girl again.

"Seniors, I seem to have accidentally created an issue for you… My apologies. The grass you saw is not simple, I'm sure you've already noticed. But I don't abuse it too much. It is best used as a small boost for many. And it can be fed the ink force to recharge its effects. However, you must be careful with that grass… It is similar to my ability but it does not have the will to contain it nor discharge it properly. So there should always be someone of greater strength to manage it. And if necessary, destroy it before it goes wild. I can always make a new thing later on that's safer." I explained through a cross gate whisper only the two of them could hear.

"I see, in that case the two of us will always keep an eye on it just in case. But if we have to destroy it…" The Dragon Emperor replied.

"Worry not, if it reaches a critical juncture beyond yourself, create a channel for it to flow out of the pass. It will instinctively attack the Ink Clan wherever they may be. You may even be able to destroy it simply by absorbing it completely. Once absorbed it will be your power forever. The decision will be up to you. Just… Don't do anything too reckless." I chuckled a slight bit in response.

"I see, actually. Grandson, are you able to directly interfere with it at the moment?" The Phoenix Empress asked.

"Hmm, that depends on what it is you want me to do? I'm sure the Ink Clan has already sensed my power erupting from afar by now. So there shouldn't be much I'm limited by. I just can't use more than a certain amount for the moment." I asked.

"Since this grass needs to be monitored, how about connecting it to the Parasol Tree, and I guess the Dragon Pond as well. Both are capable of infinite capacity… Or would that be too much?" The Phoenix Empress asked.

"Hmm… I… Hmm… That could be possible, but I'd need to physically be there for that. So just be careful with it for now." I answered.
