Chapter 190: Chapter 189: Meikanxie!
"How did you find me?!"
Gabul, disguised as an ordinary undead mage, stared at Novak in disbelief. The fire of his soul flickered, pierced by Novak's powerful, otherworldly claws, but he did not die immediately.
This mage, in reality, was Gabul, the ruler of the 400th floor of the abyss—one of the most formidable beings in existence. Yet now, his Level 10 phantom was gradually dissipating before the mortal standing in front of him.
Novak remained silent, unwilling to reveal that it had taken him three deaths to figure it out. He had been ambushed by Gabul's mental attack when his guard was down, learning from the repeated deaths.
At first, Novak had assumed that the ocean of undead would give him an overwhelming advantage. With each kill, he could rapidly enhance his attributes and eventually overpower Gabul. But the god's stealthy strikes were nearly impossible to defend against.
Three deaths—Novak was satisfied with that. Though, each death meant that he had to retrace his steps from the first floor of the abyss all the way back to the 400th, facing the previous three true gods once more.
Thankfully, he made it through unscathed each time.
"Interesting human," Gabul said, his voice laced with curiosity. "Your essence isn't particularly strong, yet your body is filled with miracles and mysteries. Since I came to the abyss, I've never encountered a challenger who made it this far!"
Gabul's fading figure observed Novak for a moment longer before continuing, "I await your triumph here, on the 400th floor. If you manage to pass the abyss, perhaps we can speak again."
His tone shifted, becoming more serious. "But beware—the final two tests of the abyss are no simple matter. Go now, Meikanxie awaits you!"
Despite being the God of the Undead, Gabul—perhaps due to his origins beyond the abyss—lacked the violent nature typical of its creatures. Instead, he was calm and composed, even gentle. The shattering of his soul fire marked his disappearance.
Novak exhaled in relief.
Meikanxie.
This was the one Dark Mother Goddess Hell Rose had warned him about. Her greatest enemy.
Meikanxie ruled the 437th floor of the abyss, and it was she who now awaited Novak's arrival.
As the abyss continued to descend into endless darkness, excitement surged through Novak's veins.
The Fifth True God.
Once Meikanxie fell, only one would remain.
The gods claimed that no one could ever fully conquer the abyss, and now, Novak stood on the brink of proving them wrong. The title of 'Master of the Abyss' felt closer than ever, just within reach.
His eyes hardened with determination. Somewhere along the way, he had forgotten about that ultimate goal, focusing only on mechanical challenges. But now, those four words—Master of the Abyss—flashed clearly in his mind once more.
[Currently on the 437th floor of the abyss, Abyss Lord: Meikanxie, Queen of Succubi and Pleasure—Level 10 Phantom manifesting, prepare for the trial!]
Queen of the Succubi, Lord of Pleasure, God of Desire, Mistress of the Lash, Queen of Bondage, Poison of the Living.
This was the name known throughout the Heavens and the Myriad Realms.
Novak recalled what the Dark Mother Goddess had said about this being. His eyes narrowed slightly. Before him stood a true demon who toyed with desire, a god who commanded the very essence of passion.
Although based in the abyss, the influence of this being extended across countless worlds and realms. Among its followers, indulgence in carnal pleasure had become a holy pursuit, and to describe the behavior of this sect as "unrestrained" was an understatement.
Additionally, this sect found joy in pain.
For its believers, the lash of the Lord of Pleasure's whip was considered the highest honor, the ultimate form of enjoyment. This was the strange nature of the god before him.
Novak didn't know the exact level or strength of this god, but it was clear that the Queen of Succubi was far stronger than Yeenoghu, the Assassin God, or even Baphomet, the Beast Lord.
After all, Hell Rose, the Dark Goddess herself—one of the most powerful beings in the universe—had warned him about this particular enemy. The one who could stir such concern from Hell Rose could not be ordinary.
Novak stood in a grand, lavish palace. The hall was bathed in light, and upon the throne, a figure gradually materialized.
This figure stood nearly two meters tall, sitting casually on the throne with legs crossed. Purple-red demon wings spread out from behind, small pointed horns adorned the top of the head, and a heart-shaped tail slowly curled and moved.
Despite the demon-like features, the figure had an almost human appearance—skin as pale as milk, long dark red hair flowing down, and a face of such mesmerizing beauty that it fit the highest standards of human and even male creature aesthetics.
Even though Novak had steeled himself for this encounter, he was momentarily stunned.
He had once told Daphne that the most beautiful woman he had ever seen was the Dark Mother Goddess, Hell Rose. But now, this succubus, Meikanxie, made him question that.
Such beauty—it was indescribable.
But only for a moment did Novak falter. He quickly regained his focus.
"Hehehe, a human? A challenger from the abyss, reaching me at last! How did you defeat Winifred?" The voice was raspy yet strangely alluring. It didn't resemble a typical female voice, but in the twisted pronunciation of the abyssal tongue, it exuded an even more enchanting charm.
The succubus didn't mention Baphomet, Yeenoghu, or even Gabul—only Winifred.
Novak ignored the seductive voice, fighting to suppress the restless desire stirring within him. His desires were already heightened, the result of his Blacklight Virus strengthening his body with every evolution. Each improvement intensified his cravings.
But Novak knew well that the figure before him—the Lord of Pleasure—used desire as the deadliest weapon.
Just as he had stabilized himself, the figure suddenly stood up.
Only the most intimate areas of the succubus's body were covered by dark red leather armor, while the rest was exposed, revealing large expanses of flawless, snow-white skin.
The succubus flared her nostrils slightly and then smiled, a smile both strange and beguiling.
"Human, why suppress your urges? This is the very essence of life. I can sense your soul and taste the potent fragrance of your desires. You were born this way. There is no need to resist it..."
Even with Novak's mental fortitude of over three hundred, he couldn't stop himself from swallowing hard.
As the figure approached, his heartbeat quickened with each step.
