Virtual Realm: My Venom Can Slay Gods

Chapter 6: Wild Boar King

"Ah, leveling up is a good thing, but after leveling up, I have to face the awkward situation of not being able to grind talents. Ethan Carter even now somewhat feels that leveling up is too fast. If the other players who are still grinding rabbits find out, he might get beaten up by the group."

"Let's see if there are any ways to kill level 7 monsters. If I can't, then I'll go back to kill boars." With that thought, Ethan continued walking inward. Boar Forest is vast, and after wandering for a while, he finally emerged from the forest. Along the way, he encountered many Wild Boars but managed to shake them off. After all, he now has 18 Movement Speed points, and these Wild Boars with 11 Speed points can't catch up with him.

After exiting the forest, there was a Plain ahead, and then he saw a group of gray wolves walking around the Grassland.

"Oh my God, so many!" Ethan felt deflated. This was probably impossible to fight. However, since he came here, he decided to check their attributes. He found the closest wolf and used Insight on it. Fortunately, the range of Insight was far enough; he could use it without getting into the hate range.

[Gray Wolf]

Level: 9

Health: 4000

Attack: 115

Defense: 55

Speed: 20

(Note: Monsters in the novice village do not have magical attack and magical defense, so there's no need to specify physical attack and physical defense here. Speed refers to movement speed.)

Skill: Bite: Opens its big mouth to bite the target, dealing 150% Physical Damage. 50% chance to cause bleeding, causing 5 health points loss per second, lasting for 10 seconds.

...

"Damn, checking a new monster every time is a challenge to my heart." Ethan thought after viewing. His only thought was to curse the Game Designers, even though this game has nothing to do with the designers—everything is controlled by the Main Brain. However, he heard that the Main Brain is omnipotent in the game, so he didn't dare to curse it. Instead, he cursed the Game Designers, "Damn it, are these just normal monster attributes? These are definitely boss attributes."

"Huh, this is a level 9 monster? The level 7 and 8 monsters are probably on the middle path. Or maybe I should check that area; I can't handle this stuff."

Ethan turned and walked back, cowardly. Upon returning to Boar Forest, he continued walking outward. At this time, a glint of gold flashed in his peripheral vision, and Ethan, curious, walked towards the spot where the golden light flashed. After walking for a while, the bush in front of him revealed a gigantic Wild Boar, at least twice the size of the Wild Boars he had previously fought. Under the giant Wild Boar's feet was a circle of golden light, which is the special aura of bosses in Oracle.

"Wow, I've encountered a boss." Ethan exclaimed with joy, quickly using Insight on it.

[Wild Boar King] (Black Iron-level boss)

Level: 6

Health: 50000

Attack: 250

Defense: 120

Speed: 30

Skill 1: Savage Charge: Charges forward in a straight line at incredible speed, dealing 150% Physical Damage to all targets along its path and stunning them for one second. Cooldown: 10 seconds.

Skill 2: Berserk: When the Wild Boar King stands upright, it increases its Attack Power by 50% and Attack Speed by 50%, lasting for 30 seconds. Cooldown: 2 minutes.

Skill 3: Heal: When the Wild Boar King's health falls below 10%, it activates, doubling its Defense and restoring its health to 30% within 10 seconds. During this period, it cannot move or attack. Cooldown: 5 minutes.

...

...

"Just now, I said that the Gray Wolf's attributes were boss-level, and I was immediately slapped in the face. This is the real boss, a level 6 Black Iron boss with such terrifying stats? Not only are the attributes explosive, but the skills are also disgusting. If the damage isn't high enough, it's impossible to kill. The last skill has a cooldown of 5 minutes, meaning if I can't kill it down to 30% health within 5 minutes, it's basically impossible to fight this boss."

"Forget it, no more complaining. I should get used to it. Besides, this boss might be impossible for others, but not necessarily for me. You know, my poison can prevent the target from regenerating health. It seems this boss is destined to belong to me." Ethan thought to himself. He tagged this Wild Boar King as his own. Seeing that the boss wouldn't let him go, he didn't forget that his talent has a feature that killing a boss not lower than his realm can stack poison layers. Each poison layer increases damage by doubling it.

"However, I definitely can't beat it now. I need to level up a few more times. At least, my speed needs to be faster than its, and I need to be able to withstand its damage." Ethan noted down the boss's location and then exited to walk outward. No one would come here in the short term. He needed to check if level 7 monsters were manageable, as he still needed to focus on improving his talents to increase his damage.

Upon returning to the fork in the road, Ethan walked towards the middle path leading to the bamboo forest.

"Entering the bamboo forest feels dark and damp, with poor lighting. Ethan cautiously advanced, suddenly spotting green snakes climbing up the bamboo and spitting venom at him. His skin prickled. He used Insight on them."

[Green Snake]

Level: 3

Health: 550

Attack: 32

Defense: 12

Speed: 7

Skill: Snake Venom: Targets hit by the Green Snake's attack have a 50% chance to be poisoned, losing 2 health points per second for 30 seconds.

"So these level 3 monsters are here, no wonder I haven't encountered them. But these Green Snakes are probably too annoying for many people, preferring to fight crabs instead of them. Snake venom is too disgusting. However, thinking of his own talent, hmm, poison is a good thing, how can it be disgusting."

"Continuing forward, he exited the bamboo forest, heading towards a thicket. The trees were small but dense, completely different from the forest earlier. The light was still dim, and after walking for a while, he finally saw monsters. He saw giant spiders crawling on the trees and on the ground. Feeling disgusted, Ethan used Insight on them."

[Giant Spider]

Level: 7

Health: 2500

Attack: 90

Defense: 40

Speed: 13

Skill: Web Slinging: Throws a large web forward within a 2-meter range, trapping the target in a web. Trapped targets cannot attack or move for 3 seconds. Cooldown: 20 seconds.

"I can't fight this." Ethan grumbled, thinking that monsters in this path are all against him.

"Forget it, I can't improve my talent for now. I'll go back to killing boars, strive to level up a few more times, and then take down that Wild Boar King."

With that, Ethan returned to Boar Forest to continue his journey of killing boars. With his current poison damage of 16 per second, it takes him just two minutes to kill a Wild Boar, so grinding is still quite fast. Each Wild Boar gives a base experience of 20 points. After level 2, the additional experience is only 40%, which is 8 points. Therefore, each Wild Boar can bring 28 experience points. This means he needs to kill 18 more Wild Boars to reach level 3.

Ethan was grinding Wild Boars alone in Boar Forest, while in the grasslands in front of the novice village, countless players were scrambling to kill rabbits. To be honest, in such a large grassland, every time rabbits spawn, there are at least thousands. However, people can't handle the large number, so in the end, there are more people than rabbits.

Among the crowd, a group of over ten people gathered around several rabbit spawn points, skillfully killing the rabbits and letting a proud young man in the middle finish them off. When he killed another rabbit, golden light flashed at his feet, and he leveled up.

"Congratulations, Bobby, on leveling up." the people around him congratulated. "Bobby definitely the first player in our novice village to level up. I was just watching the area, and no one has leveled up before."

"Yeah." Bobby Smithis nodded with satisfaction, then allocated all his free attribute points to Strength. Looking at his 22 Attack points, a smile curled his lips, and he said, "I now have 22 Attack points, killing these rabbits is a breeze. Should we go check the level 2 area?"

"Don't, Bobby. Some of our people have already been to the level 2 area, and those goats are fierce. We can't handle them now unless all our brothers are level 1, with a few heavily Stamina-invested ones in front to tank. Otherwise, we can't fight them."

"Damn, this damn game is so hard to deal with, and it doesn't even let you spend money. It's so frustrating." Bobby complained.

"Thinking about it, let's continue asking, 'Do we have any players who have equipped items? Let them hand over their equipment, help me equip, and aim to enter the level 2 area early. I'm sick of killing these rabbits.'"

"Our people haven't got any equipment yet. This game's drop rate is really damn low. With so many of us, not a single piece of equipment has been obtained yet. No one has listed equipment in the auction house either." one person replied.

"Damn." Bobby cursed, "If someone lists equipment in the auction house, I'll immediately snatch it."

"Yeah."
