Villainous Kamen Rider in Pretty Cure

Chapter 58

Special File 58 Loss of Control

“Hey, you’re bleeding!”

“It’s already over—”

Ignoring Ash’s voice, Cure Yell continued with her darkened face, charging towards the Final Monster again and striking it down once more. For her, darkness and reinforcement were nothing but jokes.

I am Precure.

My mission is to defeat the evil darkness. There is nothing else!

“Boom—”

Yell almost abandoned her defense, leaving a trail of blood behind as she forcefully dodged the plunging syringe. Her fists rained down on the Fierce Final Monster.

The Final Monster was smashed into a barely standing building, sending debris flying and causing screams from the surrounding crowd.

Ash sensed something was amiss. In past battles, Precure had never fought this recklessly without regard for others!

This guy—something is wrong with him.

Completely different from before, it’s like she’s a different person!

Thinking this, Ash felt that this Precure in front of him now was completely different from his previous impression. While Yell’s brilliance before was about persevering through any adversity with unyielding strength and justice, now all he felt was a silent burning sense of “danger.”

This pressure—

In this world, this was the first time he felt the tension of facing a strong opponent who could potentially lead to death at any moment. His breath, cautious and heavy under the flickering helmet data streams, slowed down…

His hair stood on end, and his right hand subconsciously gripped the grip of the fire lance. If Yell showed any slight movement, Ash would shoot her without hesitation.

“Are you troubled? Let me guess. Was your boyfriend dumped?”

Ash spoke casually, trying to distract her attention to make her relax. However, he didn’t see the tight fist formed instantly after he spoke.

“Haha, I don’t read minds, so I don’t know what you’re thinking. But I advise you not to bring emotional matters into battle. It will only cause trouble.”

The low head of Wild Flower seemed to be genuinely being scolded by Ash. If not for the increasingly clenched fist, it would indeed seem that way.

“You heroes, in this world or any other, frequently think nonsense unrelated to the situation. You even can’t see what’s right in front of you. I’ve always disliked such naivety—”

The Melody Sacred Sword sliced the ground, producing a screech and sparks. Then came the sound of the giant sword being swung through the air. In an instant, Yell leaped to Timefire’s head, the Melody Sacred Sword drawing a rainbow-colored trajectory aimed at Timefire below.

“DV Conversion, Guardian Sword.”

“Clang!!” The Guardian Sword, finer than the Melody Sacred Sword, withstood Yell’s nearly full-strength strike. Even as a crystallization of future world technology, the Guardian Sword couldn’t fully resist this force.

Momentarily clashing with the Melody Sacred Sword, the sword’s light beams began to strain. The bones in Ash’s arm creaked under the heavy load, and the already unstable ground shattered further due to the shockwaves from both combatants.

Timefire kicked with all his might to the side, slipping out of the suppression of the Melody Sacred Sword. The spot where he stood was destroyed by Yell’s follow-up strike, turning the press conference site into ruins that the municipal officials would have nightmares about for at least half a month.

“Hey, Yell, are you insane? The Final Monster is behind you, not here!” He warned with a steady posture, his body and suit reminding him that the blazing Yell was in a terrifying state.

Could it be my words that angered her? But shouldn’t she be focusing on the true enemy? Why would she turn her attack on me? This isn’t like her at all!

“Do you call yourself a hero of justice? Could it be I misunderstood?”

“If your head is no good, pass the job to me and go home. You’re not yourself right now.”

Not myself…

“Hahaha, hahahaha~”

Her sudden laugh startled Ash.

Even Cure Yell isn’t like me anymore. Then—

What should I be like? What should I be like—

“Tell me! Tell me—!”

Who would understand?

Understand what?!

Timefire’s words finally broke the initial silence. Yell charged toward Timefire again with a near-screaming voice, and the Melody Sacred Sword glowed even brighter in her hand.

“Tell me! What am I supposed to be?!”

The pink eyes truly burned with “dark flames.” With anger unlike any before, Yell struck with even greater force than ever. As a protectors of this world as a Precure, she never used such destructive power while defending others. This strike, empowered by her rage, made her do the unthinkable.

“What hero, what villain—do you think everyone will play your child’s games?!”

“Child’s games—what?!”

Timefire’s defensive stance was useless; his consciousness momentarily clouded. When it cleared, he was warned of the damage to his helmet, heard the roaring winds around him, saw the receding landscape, and felt the excruciating pain in his arms, all indicating his defeat.

“This strike… I lost.”

“Haa… Haa… Hahaha!” Panting heavily, Yell’s eyes locked onto where Timefire was sent flying. A strange, almost vindictive joy welled up within her, distorting her usually pure and gentle features into a sinister smile.

Should I laugh like this? No, I’m the legendary warrior—Precure.

I should protect everyone’s hearts, making them feel warmth. How can I feel joy from hurting others? This must be wrong. So I shouldn’t laugh—then why do I feel so elated?

“Huh—hohoho, hahahaha!”

The originally fleeting dark, raging energy reappeared faintly in the future crystal.

Hahahaha, I should not—hahaha! I shouldn’t laugh anymore hahahaha—

An eerily surreal scene appeared. Standing before the defeated Final Monster and Timefire, the protector of the world, the close friend, and the Precure, guardian of the heart, laughed wildly amidst the swirling smoke, as if she were a major villain.
