Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives

Chapter 641: Chilling Sight

Villain Ch 641. Chilling Sight

With a swift motion, a hunter unleashed his Arrow Strike Skill, sending a volley of ice element arrows hurtling towards Mei Ling. The projectiles found their mark, piercing her chest with precision.

Once the arrows embedded themselves in her body, Mei Ling's movements ground to a halt, her figure frozen in place. The air crackled with tension, and a palpable sense of unease settled over the players gathered around her.

The silence that followed was deafening, broken only by the rhythmic thud of their racing hearts.

Mei Ling slowly raised her face, the players watched in horrified fascination as her features contorted into a grotesque mask of anguish. With a piercing shriek that echoed through the air, she unleashed a sound that sent shivers down their spines.

Her cry was a cacophony of heart-wrenching sorrow and bone-chilling terror, a haunting melody that seemed to seep into their very souls. Despite their brave facades, the players couldn't help but feel a surge of fear coursing through their veins.

Their resolve wavered as uncertainty gnawed at their minds. Though they stood their ground, a sense of dread gripped them, turning their limbs to ice and weighing them down like lead.

In the face of this otherworldly specter, even the bravest among them couldn't help but feel a creeping sense of unease. The eerie atmosphere enveloped them, casting a pall of fear over the battlefield and leaving them paralyzed with dread.

The players' gaze remained fixed on her, their hearts pounding in their chests. They watched in horror as her appearance underwent a chilling transformation before their eyes.

Once a beautiful consort adorned in regal attire, Mei Ling's visage now twisted into something out of a nightmare. Her hair hung in tangled, matted strands, framing a face contorted with anguish. Her once elegant nails had lengthened into grotesque claws, gnarled and jagged.

The fabric of her garments, once pristine and royal, now hung in tatters around her form, a stark contrast to her former grandeur. But it was Mei Ling's face that truly struck fear into their hearts. Her complexion grew paler by the second and her features took on a ghastly pallor, resembling that of a corpse risen from the grave.

The most chilling sight of all was her feet, which hovered inches above the ground, defying the laws of nature. It was a sight that sent a chill down their spines, filling them with a sense of dread unlike anything they had ever experienced before.

The players stood frozen in fear as Mei Ling's eerie voice echoed across the battlefield. Some of them exchanged nervous glances, unsure of how to respond to the spectral figure before them.

"Why did you hurt me?" Mei Ling's voice carried a haunting sadness. It was as if her words were laden with centuries of anguish and betrayal.

Before anyone could muster a response, another figure materialized before them, sending shockwaves through their ranks. Clad in tattered Eastern royal garments, the undead monster loomed menacingly over the players, casting a long shadow over the battlefield.

The Undead Emperor.

His empty gaze seemed to pierce through their souls, instilling a sense of dread in all who beheld him.

The players exchanged bewildered glances as the gravity of the situation sank in. "There is another emperor beside the devil emperor now?" one of them muttered, voicing the collective sentiment of the group. It was an unexpected turn of events, and they knew it spelled trouble.

But the surprises didn't end there. Suddenly, the battlefield was inundated with the undead soldiers, emerging from the shadows with an eerie silence. Ten of thousands of them. Some took the form of grotesque zombies or ghouls, while others appeared as spectral shadows.

To their astonishment, a new wave of translucent figures materialized alongside the undead horde. These ghostly apparitions bore an uncanny resemblance to the players themselves, but with an otherworldly glow that marked them as something other than human. They stood in formation, mirroring the battle formations of the players with an unsettling precision.

"What the heck is going on?" one player exclaimed, echoing the confusion rippling through the group. It was a scene straight out of a nightmare, and they struggled to make sense of the surreal spectacle unfolding before them.

Each troop of ghostly apparitions was led by a spectral figure, bearing the likeness of their mortal counterparts. A Swordsman, an Assassin, a Knight, a Hunter, and a Magic Scholar—all lined up with chilling efficiency, ready to do battle in their ghostly form.

The paladin at Elio's side voiced the question that echoed in everyone's mind, his voice trembling with disbelief. "W-What the hell is that?"

Elio's brows furrowed deeply as he scanned the unnerving sight before them. He couldn't offer an answer; none of them could. The row of monstrous troops stretched out before them was unlike anything they had ever encountered. It was a stark departure from their expectations—a meticulously organized assault orchestrated by creatures they had never seen before.

This wasn't the chaotic, brute force onslaught they had braced themselves for. It was a coordinated attack, executed with chilling precision. The guild leaders had anticipated monster attacks, yes, but they had never imagined anything like this. The shock rippled through the front lines and spread like wildfire among all the players present.

Elio's gaze remained fixed on the advancing horde, his mind racing to make sense of the situation. How had they been caught off guard so completely? Why did none of them think about this before, that the enemies would use battle formations and strategy to attack them?

For sure, Elio realized the players weren't the only ones who learned. The enemies also learned them.

Amidst the confusion and uncertainty, Mei Ling's haunting wail pierced the air once more. It was a harrowing sound, laden with malice and sorrow—a stark reminder of the grave danger they faced.

Mei Ling's hand rose once more. Her voice cut through the chaos with a chilling command. "Kill them for me..."

Note: Mei Ling is a non-aggressive boss monster, only engaging in combat if provoked or if someone enters her attack radius, similar to the quest mechanics in the Emperor's Tomb.
