Hearing the confirmation, the commentator turned back to the speaking device and announced.

"Then, everyone! Let's begin the countdown!!"

The crowd turned crazy over the fight that was going to begin. The heavy pressure me and Arfius is emitting is making the spectators heated up.

"This is just so exciting… I didn't know there is another student aside from Arfius who is like that."

A man asked from his position, and he was standing right next to Veneo. His clothes are the fanciest, and he wore an eye patch on his right eye.

"Yeah. She is the one I told you about."

"T-That's her?!"

"Yep. Your son might be getting his ass kicked today."

"… Ohh~… I hope he will."

The arch-mage, Julius Polaris and the headmaster laughed as the commentator was doing the countdown.

"Five! 

Four! 

Three! 

Two! 

One!!--"

The two of us gripped our weapons even harder, and the glint on our eyes disappeared.

We are ready.

"--Begin!!!"

And so, it began.

VWOOOOSHHH!!!!

BZZZTT!!!

Arfius stroke first by swinging his blade extremely fast towards me, shooting a wind slash enchanted with lightning magic.

I haven't seen that attack before, but I'm pretty sure if a person got hit, not only will they get thrown off by the wind force, but they will also get stunned from the lightning. 

I surely do not want to get hit by that.

VWUNGG!!!

I swung my scythe calmly, and a giant wall of shadow immediately appeared right in front of me. Thunderous roars and wind force exploded when Arfius' wind slash struck my giant wall of shadow, but it didn't damage the wall at all.

I took down the shadow wall and swung my scythe again when the wall came down. This time, I did the fire slash using my scythe instead of creating a barrier.

VWOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A giant long vertical slash made with blue flames quickly flew towards Arfius at high speed, and this time it was his chance to show his defence.

But, ice's arch nemesis is fire. And he made quite the mistake of not dodging.

ZRIIINNGGG!!!!!!!!

Seeing how powerful the fire slash is, Arfius puts up a gigantic ice wall to protect him, and a whole mountain of ice quickly forms from the ground. The blue fire slash didn't even explode when it touched the ice. Instead, it melted the mountain almost effortlessly, and it kept on flying until it went through the wall of ice that had melted.

"What-!?!?"

BAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A mini atomic explosion occurred right where Arfius stood. Everyone gasped when the explosion occurred so close with Arfius, but I know that the guy is completely fine.

He stepped out of the smoke, completely unscathed.

"The damn flame is too hot for my ice to handle…?"

He mumbled, and I simply laughed hearing that.

But, damn… he didn't get hurt by that?? Well, if he did, this would be boring.

Feeling pissed, Arfius decided to just do a close combat instead. He leaped forward and used his wind and lightning magic to increase his speed, and he managed to close the distance extremely quickly.

Now, he is only five meters away from me.

The perfect distance for the scythe to move.

But, he swung his sword immediately from that distance, so I had no choice but to quickly lift my scythe to block. The handle of the scythe managed to stop his sword, but he had enchanted it with lightning magic and the electricity managed to move past the scythe handle all the way to my hand.

BZZTT!!!

Damn, that stings... But no problem, I can handle it.

I pushed Arfius away from the scythe and he jumped back. I quickly swung my scythe at high speed towards him, but he leaped back again and did a backflip.

VWOOSHH!!

VWOOOSHH!!!

While he was in the air, he shot multiple smaller wind slashes at me. I used the scythe to slash a few, but then I realized too late that the wind slashes are enchanted with lightning, and they managed to stung me multiple times.

BZZTT!!

"Shit!!"

I quickly put up a shadow wall in front of me to cover from the wind slashes.

Arfius landed on both of his feet and dashed forward at high speed again. He used his sword to strike the wall and the wall of shadow shatter to pieces as it got slashed by Arfius's sword.

PRAANGGG!!!!

But behind the wall, there is nothing. Arfius quickly looked around to look for me, and he finally glanced upwards.

I am flying in the air, with a wide mad grin on my face, as well as three blue firebombs the size of a ping pong ball in my left palms while my right hand holding the scythe.

"Well Arfius… try not to die from this."

I tilted my left palms and the firebombs dropped to the ground with gravity. 

"Hii!!!!!--"

Seeing how powerful those firebombs are, Arfius quickly panicked and ran away at insanely high speed.

The firebombs bounced once on the ground before finally exploding into a mini-nuclear.

The explosion caused the entire ground to be shaken. A rather powerful earthquake was caused, throwing the spectators into panic.

"Uwaa!! What the hell was that explosion!?"

"Oi, oi... Is this really a first year's strength??"

"What the hell was that??"

The spectators were turned to disarray immediately when the force of the explosion reached them. The heat of the firebombs was stopped by the barrier, but the force of the wind managed to go through and affect the spectators. The shake on the ground also made them panicking, but from the looks of it, they are still fine.

Seeing the gigantic explosion, one man inside the VIP room unfolded his arms.

"W-What…?? What the hell…??"

Hearing the reaction of the eyepatch man, Veneo chuckled.

"Yep. That's her…

Rize Violet. A Green ranked adventurer."

The man turned his gaze to Veneo, showing him a truly shocked expression.

"Veneo… your academy is nurturing… Monsters…"

Hearing the comment, Veneo chuckled.

"Perhaps."
