As Sely left, Misaki broke down in tears. She felt a mix of anger and confusion but decided she needed to hear Shijo's explanation. When Sely returned with food, Misaki refused to eat, her thoughts too chaotic to focus on anything else.

After half an hour, she heard a voice at the door. "Can I come in?"

It was Shijo's voice. Just a moment ago, she had resolved to be reasonable, but hearing his sweet tone now made her feel like throwing up. The emotions she had been holding back surged forward, overwhelming her.

Remembering the past interactions with Shijo, Misaki's feelings towards him shifted dramatically. Lying weakly on the floor as Shijo walked closer, fear gripped her heart. Thoughts of her virginity and dignity seemed insignificant in the face of what she perceived as impending doom. She just wanted to return home safely and cry in her mother's embrace.

Aki, composing himself, approached the fallen Misaki. He could see the fear in her eyes and the hope slowly draining from her expression. Sighing, he gently picked her up. Misaki, feeling resigned to her fate, didn't resist. However, instead of harming her, he placed her gently on the bed, sitting behind her with his legs around her and hugging her closely.

Misa," he whispered, his voice soft but firm. "I don't know why you're so angry or why you suddenly hate me. If you tell me the reason, I'll apologize if I'm in the wrong. But if I believe I haven't done anything wrong, I won't apologize."

Misaki's body tensed at his words. The mix of his commanding presence and the gentle embrace left her confused and conflicted. She wanted to scream, to cry out about all the injustices she felt, but she was also drawn to the warmth and sincerity in his voice.

Through her trembling lips, she finally managed to speak, "Why did you bring me here, Aki? What do you want from me?"

Aki tightened his embrace slightly, his tone becoming more soothing. "I brought you here because I care about you, Misa. I didn't want you to get hurt or be taken advantage of. I want to protect you, even if you don't believe me right now."

Misaki's mind raced. Taken advantage of by others? She wanted to laugh at the absurdity of his words. He saved her from others only to take advantage of her himself. The irony stung, but she knew she needed to think clearly. She had noticed Shijo's calm demeanor, and a plan began to form in her mind.

She decided to play along, hoping that if she appeared to trust him, he might let his guard down and eventually release her. "Aki," she whispered softly, trying to keep her voice steady. "I... I believe you want to protect me. Maybe I overreacted."

Aki loosened his grip slightly, sensing a change in her tone. "I'm glad you're starting to see things my way," he replied gently. "I just want to help you, Misa."

Misaki forced a small smile, though her heart pounded with anxiety. "Maybe we can start over? I want to understand why you did what you did. I want to believe in you."

Aki nodded, his expression softening. "Of course, Misa. Let's start over. I'll explain everything, and we'll figure this out together."

She continued, "But please, I need to call my mother. She's probably worried sick about me. Can you let me do that? It'll help me feel more at ease."

Aki hesitated for a moment but then nodded. "Alright, but only if you promise to stay calm and not do anything reckless. I'll have the maid bring your phone."

Misaki's heart leapt at the small victory. "Thank you, Aki. I promise."

Aki stood up, took out his phone, and handed it to her. Misaki dialed her house line number with trembling fingers. When her mother answered, she did her best to sound calm and reassuring.

"Mom, it's me. I'm safe. I'm with a friend. I just wanted to let you know I'm alright and I'll be home soon."

After a brief conversation, she hung up and looked at Aki. "Thank you for letting me call her. It means a lot."

Aki nodded, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions. "I just want you to feel safe, Misa."

Misaki forced another smile, inwardly plotting her next move. She knew she needed to be careful, but she was determined to find a way out. For now, she would play along, hoping that her show of trust would eventually give her the chance to escape.

"So why are you so angry at me?" Aki asked, still hugging her between his legs and feeding her porridge.

Misaki, though she didn't want to eat, forced a smile and continued to eat as he fed her. Hearing his question, she trembled with anger.

"Why? I am angry at you," she shouted in her mind, thinking that Shijo was playing the fool.

Her gaze turned to the bloodstained sheet. Following her gaze, Shijo also looked at the red dots on the white bed sheet. Though he smiled inwardly, he made a sad face for a second, enough for Misaki to notice.

"You think of me that way?" he asked, but a loving smile formed on his face the next second. Keeping the porridge down, he hugged her tightly.

Then he blew gently into her ear as he whispered, "Then let me take responsibility," making Misa jolt.

"Why?" she asked, trembling. She was now sure that he had taken advantage of her while she was unconscious. Should she feel embarrassed, angry, mad, or relieved that he would take responsibility? The confusion overwhelmed her.

When Misaki asked why, he whispered to her, coddling her as she sat with her knees drawn up. She looked cute, he thought.

"Maybe because I like you," he replied, playing with her black hair.

Misaki felt his touch and heard his words, losing control. "Like? Like for what?" she shouted, tears swelling in her eyes. "You raped me! If you liked me, you wouldn't have done such a thing!" she cried out, feeling frustration.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't resist at that time, seeing your beauty, your curves, your pale skin. I lost myself. So, Misa, please forgive me this time. I will take responsibility for you and your family," he said, picking up her chin and kissing her.

Though Misaki resisted, biting him, she eventually gave up, thinking he had already violated her in every way. It was only a kiss now.

After the kiss, Misaki looked at him with disgust, her hair covering her face as she looked down.

Aki knew he couldn't drag this any longer, so he shouted, "Saly! Saly, come upstairs!"

Misaki looked up, puzzled. Why was he calling someone? But she didn't care much. Her mind was in turmoil, torn between accepting this scum who claimed to care for her or running away from him forever.

As he called, Saly rushed up and knocked on the door. "Master?" she called, asking for permission to enter.

"Come in," he said nonchalantly. When Saly entered, she found Misa in Shijo's embrace. Despite feeling a twinge of jealousy, she focused on her assignment.

"Young Master, is there anything you need?" she asked.

"Nothing much, but why is there blood on my bed sheet?" he asked as if the whole drama had never happened.

Misaki, seeing an unfamiliar maid enter, looked up. Hearing Shijo ask about the blood on the sheet puzzled her even more. What was he talking about?

Looking at the directions were shijo pointing she replied,"Oh, that! Sorry, Young Master. While changing Miss Misaki's dress as you instructed, I accidentally cut my finger a little," Saly explained, showing her bandaged pinky finger.

"I must have accidentally dropped some blood on the sheet. I was bleeding so much that I rushed out, holding my hand, and I might have dropped some on your sheet," she continued, bowing to explain the misunderstanding.

Satisfied with her explanation, Shijo nodded. "Saly, you can leave us alone. I'll speak with you later," he said.

Saly bowed again and exited the room, leaving Shijo and Misaki alone. Misaki felt a whirlwind of emotions. The explanation cleared up some confusion, but she was still angry, hurt, and unsure of what to believe.

After Saly left, silence enveloped the room. The wind blew gently through the open window as Misaki muttered, "Sorry."

"Why?" Shijo asked, feigning ignorance though he knew exactly what she meant.

Misaki was having a headache. First, she had thought Shijo had taken advantage of her while she was unconscious, leading to a heated argument and a storm of emotions. Now, all of that turned out to be a misunderstanding. Why hadn't he explained things earlier? Why had he played along when she was so serious? Was he this unreliable?

She realized she had been mistaken for not confirming things before reacting. The realization made her feel a mix of guilt and frustration. She sighed, the weight of her earlier anger slowly dissipating but leaving a sense of confusion and regret.
