Ultimate Hybrid in DC and marvel

[America, Cadmus, July 3rd, 2010]

In a training room hybrid floated in mid air arms crossed meditating. Directly across from him was Ma'alefa'ak the Martian. Although the two seemed peaceful in reality they were locked in a duel of the mind. In a training room hybrid floated in mid air arms crossed meditating. Suddenly a shock wave of Telekinetic force thundered through the room. At the same time both their eyes opened. They floated back down to the white panel floor.

"Once again you have impressed me with the speed of your progress." Ma'alefa'ak said with just a hint of warmth in his voice. Project Olympus or the hybrid or whatever else he wanted to call himself was still surprised by how quickly the Martian warmed up to him. A month ago after he had his battle with Battle Beast and came back to tell the story to YJ superboy and comic Superboy. Soon after Ma'alefa'ak reviewed the film that had been taken by satellite. When Olympus had given him a first hand report after, Ma'alefa'ak decided to intensify their training. 

On one hand Olympus had made consistent progress. He only stopped training to sleep, eat, drink, go to the bathroom, shower, go on missions, and rest. That may seem like a lot of down time but in reality he was training for hours every day on end. First he noticed the increase in his strength and speed. Both the Superboys punches didn't hurt as much anymore either. He had also finally mastered flying and began working on telekinesis and telepathy. As of right now he could only lift and throw objects he didn't have full as much precision as a fully trained Martian would have. Lastly although he can't use shape shifting fully yet he can change basic parts of his appearance. So he can change his facial futures, skin color, hair color, and eye color. He can also add and change smaller things like a tail, fur, jaws, horns, or animal ears and noses. 

He had also been using his pod to age himself to an ideal for himself. He now resembles a 18 year old version of himself. His hair was now slightly more Saiyan like and his features were a bit sharper. Although this wasn't his true appearance he did it to better resemble the Superboys. Although he had only been in this world for a few months he had grown close to them. 

He had managed to get them to be more social. He had even been able to bond a bit with Galetea as well. But at the very least she actually talked like a normal person albeit quite rudely. She wasn't around as often as the others because she went on missions far more frequently. He really only had the one combat mission with battle beast. All the others were mainly just escorts of different materials. That was how he had met Dr Ivo but that's a story for another time. 

"That's enough for today I have some other things I want to do. Thank you for the lesson sensei" Olympus said turning and walking away. Outside the training room Match was waiting for him and started walking behind him. Hybrid had continued to work on fixing his brain. At first Dr Desmond had been complaining but as always the coward folded. 

Hybrid had made it so not only would Match be able to follow orders but also speak full sentences and hold conversations. Although he still acted the cold, strong, silent type. His personality was similar to YJ Superboy but without the anger problems. It was actually one of the first things that Hybrid changed about him. But while Hybrid had been making subtle changes around the base. The most important thing he has been doing is finding the original of Roy Harper. 

The plan was simple he would take his siblings out of here along with as much evidence as possible. So when the team and the justice league came they could shut the whole place down and they could be free. Full proof plan don't question it. Anyway the most important aspect of what would go down tomorrow was making sure Ma'alefa'ak wasn't in the building. After all a Martian who had full control over their total range of abilities would make all his plans go down the drain. But that didn't matter too much right now though.

[Gotham City; July 4th; 12:00 EDT]

Mr Freeze is attacking picnickers in Gotham City park, many of them running in fear only to be frozen. One family stares at the cliff he's standing on in shock.

"Enjoying family time?" the villain questions rhetorically, then freezes the family. 

"My family has other plans." he then slides down the ramp now going from the cliff. Taking aim at the running citizens of Gotham. Only for a Batarang to throw off his aim. 

"Batman." he says as if he's expecting it. "I was wondering when-"

He turns to find no one there. Only childish laughter echoing around him, which in an open area is impressive. From above, a black shadow is over his head. However what lands on him isn't the Batman, but rather Robin. Decked out in red, yellow, and black tactical gear. Knocking the ice villain down, then throwing two more disks at his helmet, cracking it.

"Oh. Boy Wonder." Freeze drawls. "The Bat sent you to drag me off to prison. Frankly, I'm underwhelmed." as he stands back up, aiming his ice gun at Robin this time.

"Great, but I'm kinda in a hurry here." Robin dismisses, despite the fact that the gun is buzzing to life.

"Kids." Freeze says in annoyance. 

"Always in such a rush."

"Not talking to you." Robin says in a sing-song tone. Freeze looks confused, so Robin just points behind him. Only to see Batman arrive with a flying punch to Freeze's face, breaking the glass of his helmet.

[Metropolis; July 4th; 12:10 EDT]

A soaring block of ice flys toward a building only for a speeding blur to catch it midair. Only to be crushed into pieces as the blue blur floats through the smoke. That blur was in reality Superman who was now facing off against Frost king.

"Finally we meet again Superman!I will have my revenge!" The frizzing villain marched forward blue energy swelled in his hands. Behind him a small army of ice creatures caused chaos. Then he raised his hands and snow storm formed overhead. It quickly turned into a blizzard as Frost King clenched his hands together. But before he could strike a second blur came from behind him slamming him upwards. 

"GAARRRAAHH!" He roared into the sky as all his ice warriors looked up at the perpetrator. Supergirl looked down at them a wide smile on her face.

"Sorry but we don't have time to play with you guys today!" She said a pure white smile on her face. Then in another blur of motion she flew three all of Fort king's constructions. She dusted off her hands and put them on her hips. 

"Alright all done! Can we go now? Please Kal!" As soon as she finished talking the ice shards of the beasts started falling. 

"You know Kara beating him quickly is good but maybe you should slow down a bit." Clark flew over to her a slight smile gracing his face. 

"What? We can't be bothered with anything else! Plus you said earlier that this guy is nowhere near his normal strength today!" She nearly shouted the antsy excitement was radiating off of her. She even spread her hands out wide. 

"True. But don't you think that you're forgetting something?" He frowned slightly at first but then it quickly turned back into a smile. Hearing his words her expression changed to a puzzled look. Superman smiled and pointed a finger up towards the sky. Kara looked up and was somehow surprised when she saw a roaring ice giant falling down towards her. 

"Ah! Right! Sorry I'm just excited I mean well you know. Today's the day!" The two flew up at high speed and smashed their fists into the giant man's face. Frost King was knocked out cold. Then they grabbed him mid air and brought him down slowly. Supergirls smile was bright just like the sky the two flew off into as soon as the job was done.

[Star City Main Bridge; July 4th; 9:01 PDT]

Icicle Junior lands and ices up the bridge, before using his powers to create a shell of ice. Knocking cars off balance and causing many crashes. He laughs almost maniacally before arrows start raining down.

In two colors, three green fletched ones and two red-fletched ones. He pauses for a moment only for another green one to hit him in the shoulder. The nock of the arrow blinking red and beeping before blowing up. The small explosion knocks him off balance and towards the other arrows that then blow up and knock him back to where he was.

As the head trauma begins to subside, he turns his head, looking to one of the towers on the bridge. On it stands Green Arrow and his partner Speedy. Both aiming another arrow at the ice-themed villain.

"Finally!" Icicle Junior growls. "I was wondering what a guy had to do to get a little attention around here." his left arm, now the one facing the archers, grows and becomes more mace-like in style. Before he brings it back and begins launching icicles at the archers. Following it up with another volley from his right hand which has mirrored his left.

The two archers begin releasing arrows with ease.

"Junior's doing this for attention?" Speedy asks, surprised. The first batch of icicles explode thanks to their arrows, but the second set still comes through. Forcing them to run across the tower's width and down to the suspender. They continue to launch arrows and dodge the ice that cements to where it hits before growing.

 "I'm telling you now. This little distraction better not interfere."

The two archers launch a pair of arrows at Junior, who creates a shield in front of himself. However, the arrows are explosive, creating a hole in the shield. Junior uses it to his advantage, launching ice at the younger archer.

Speedy jumps, flipping over them as he grabs and strings another arrow. As he straightens out, he takes aim and fires straight at Junior, hitting him right in the jaw. Knocking him down and out.

"Hahaha!" Green Arrow chuckles, standing mere feet from where Junior ended his slide. "Kid had a glass jaw." he comments as his partner lands gracefully a few feet away.

"Hilarious." Speedy drawls stepping a little closer to Green Arrow. "Can we go?" his patience is clearly wearing thin. "Today's the day."

[Pearl Harbor; July 4th; 6:02 HST]

The harbor has many large shards of ice sticking out of the water. Many of the ships are frozen in place. Zooming in on one, Killer Frost continues to use her powers. Icing more of the ship and creating even more snowfall. However, who she's throwing it at is Aquaman. Who dodges and comes down from the Open Bridge to the Turret, then to the second Turret before jumping to the deck.

She predicts this and freezes him before he can get more than two feet down the deck. Behind him and off to his left is Aqualad, jumping from the First Turret and over his mostly frozen mentor who breaks out and follows after him.

"Don't tell me you're not excited." Aquaman begins a conversation with his partner.

"Right now, my King, I am more focused on the matter at hand." the dark-skinned Atlantean tells him in a very formal tone. Dodging under a shot of ice, before faking right and getting Killer Frost to shoot in that direction so he can fake left and get in the opening.

She stops her right strike and aims for the area right before the younger Atlantean, but he jumps, pulling out his WaterBearers that form dual maces, causing the eel tattoos on his arms to begin their bright glow. Again, she aims at the teen. Nearly hitting him, until he puts his WaterBearers in the way of the strike. Freezing them and freezing his hands to the handles. He lands barefoot right before her, before completing a strong double uppercut. Shattering the ice around his hands and what made up the maces and knocking the ice villain out. As they do his tattoos return to their normal black coloring.

Aquaman stops a few feet behind him, crossing his arms and gaining the teen's attention. "Well?"

"Yes, I'm excited." Aqualad admits. "Today's the day."

[Washington DC; July EDT 12:30]

Wonder Woman charged forward sword in hand. In front of her a bull made of ice charged at her. Before they could clash Wonder Woman slid under the construct and sliced it in half. She stood back up facing off against her opponent Minister Blizzard. Before she moved Minister Blizzard pointed his gun at the park grounds around her and fired.

Soon more ice constructs rose up from the frozen grass. The icy beasts started growling at her but the Amazonian stayed calm and composed. But as the frigid lions started to circle Diana Minister Blizzard created a bull of pure ice for him to ride on and moved closer.

"It's over Wonder Woman there's nowhere to run now! Hahahah!" Minister Blizzard still riding a bull of ice. Blasted his gun into the air causing snow to rain down around him. 

"You're the one who's cornered Blizzard surrender now and I promise we can end this peacefully" Wonder Woman said while readying herself for his next move. She held her sword out which she normally didn't use but she was convinced to bring it today.

He randomly fired his weapon at Wonder Woman and grinned. However Diana simply dodged. Then she charged using he blade she quickly cut down a lion of ice but as soon she did another came from behind. Hearing it coming she spun around and kicked it. Three more followed trying to bite her arms. Using her forearm bracers she deflected the bites then slashed her blade with enough force to throw them back. 

However when her back was turned Minister Blizzard pointed his gun at her again with a sinister smile. But before he could fire and reach out from behind him and quickly tapped him on the shoulder. 

"Hey you might want turn around." Turning around he saw Wonder girl aka Donna Troy. Blizzard jumped with surprise but before he could move Donna's Grip became like steel. Then an amazonian fist crashed into his face.

Meanwhile Wonder Woman took her golden lasso off her hip and used it to grab one of the ice lions. Then she swung it around crushing it into all the remaining creatures. 

"Hey can we go now? The villain is defeated and we're on a time table." Donna said with a smile on her face. She quickly walked over and crushed Blizzard's gun. However what she didn't realize was one last ice lions remand. Sneaking closer and closer until it jumped forward. But before it could reach her Wonder Woman's sword sailed through the air and into the beast. 

"Do not be so impatient little sister. A good warrior knows to be thorough" Diana smiled at her little sister. Walking over and collected her sword from the shattered ice.

"Okay, but to be fair I'm the one who convinced you to bring your blade today!" Donna said. As she was responding to her words the police arrived at the scene.

"Are you truly so eager for today sister?" Diana said raising a questioning eyebrow. 

"Of course I am! After all today is the day!" Shouted Donna as she gave her sister a huge smile.

[Central City; July 4th; 11:03 CDT]

Ice covers the edges of a hole in the wall of a Jewelry Story. In the road, Captain Cold is trapped by the Flash and Kid Flash running circles around the Ice-themed villain. He attempts to shoot them twice but isn't even close to hitting either of them. His third shot is closer, but he misses the Flash and ends up hitting a car. Freezing it solidly in what it would look like if it had gotten in a car crash and went flying.

"Stealing ice? Really? Isn't that a big cliché for even Captain Cold?" Flash asks, still running circles around the villain.

"Come on!" Kid Flash calls out. "We don't have time for this!" with that he slips his red goggles over her malachite green eyes, cutting out of the circle and heading for Cold's turned back. However, his talking gave him away and Cold turns towards the sound of his voice. Cold Gun aimed at the teen he fires ice at Kid Flash.

Kid Flash dodges, some of the ice hitting his shoulder as he turns away from the stream. Then facing back towards Cold, snagging the Cold Gun and knocking the ice off his shoulder as he skids to a stop in the T intersection.

Cold growls, clenching his empty hand in frustration, but can't get any farther before Flash hits with a hard cross to the face. Knocking him a good five or six feet to the side, and out for the count. 

"Calm down, Kid." he says nonchalantly.

"Oh, please!" Kid Flash cries out in annoyance. 

"You'll chat it up with the cops, with bystanders, with Cold even." he gestures to the now unconscious criminal to prove his point.

 "No. No way!" he steps up to his mentor, despite the height difference Flash seems to actually be taking him seriously. "Today's the day!" his bright green eyes are glowing with excitement.

[Cadmus; July 4th;]

Hybrid dodged a spray of water from a Downpour clone. Then he flew over and kicked it into a wall. From behind two more clones transformed into water and flooded at him. Before the water can touch him he breathed in deep and blasted out air. From his mouth a giant whirlwind of freezing breath shot out. The two clones became mini glaciers which he then smashed to pieces.

Another two Downpours attacked from his right. One shifted into water like the last two while the other let out a water blast. Hybrid reacted quickly and froze the first clone but as the second clones water approached he was suddenly blasted to the side by heat vision. 

The comic version of Superboy aka Project Kr-02 had just heat blasted the shit out of the water manipulation clone. He still couldn't control his heat vision but the customized shades still helped. Super-boy turned to hybrid and made a face then he spoke. 

"May I ask you a question?" He said tentatively. Hybrid who had been smiling the whole time was mildly caught off guard. The Superboys including match never really talked to him much. Sure the would speak to work together during training exercises but they hardly had any casual conversation. Galatea was the one he talked to the most though. She actually had a full fledged personality not like the small pieces of one the Superboys and Match had. Still out of the two superboys this one was the more talkative and polite. 

"Sure go ahead." Hybrid's response was quick enough after all he was in a good mood. 

"Why have been smiling all day? Also why did you insist on only fighting Downpours when you found out we had no warriors with ice powers? Plus you even only used you strength and frost breath during the fight?" Superboy asked he sounded a bit sophister than his normal tone. It was true Hybrid was very happy all day he was noticeably smiling. Sure they had no ice villains on hand and they weren't hero's more were they in a city but still. 

"That's simple dear brother. It's because TODAY IS THE DAY!" Hybrid nearly shouted with joy and jumped fist raised into the air. Only to accident hit the ceiling and fall back down flipping onto his face. Looks like he still needs to brush up on his use of flight after all.

"OW!"😭

So the chapter is out how was everyone doing this Christmas and new years hope everyone was good. As always please leave any comments, questions, and suggestions you all have.

More comments motivates me to write more. Also my new semester at college is starting so if that gets in the way I'm sorry. More over I have a ton of ideas and not entirely sure where to go with the story but I know I don't want it to unfinished.

Also I was thinking about doing a third book that's all one shots. Basically first chapters so I can get ideas off my chest and if they do well they might get their own fics. So I'd love to know how you all feel about that.
