Uchiha's flies : Descendants are Born

Chapter 51: Chapter 51 – Danzo’s Death Day, Uchiha’s Big Day,

The Nara Clan's Grounds

Nara Shikaku, Yamanaka Kaiichi, and Akimichi Choza were deeply engaged in a game of shogi, their expressions serious despite the seemingly casual setting. It was evident that this was no mere game for them; the stakes were high, and their minds were elsewhere.

Yamanaka Kaiichi broke the silence. "Shikaku, do you believe Danzo really committed suicide?"

Shikaku paused, placing his piece on the board, his eyes scanning the area as he replied, "If Hokage-sama says it's true, then it must be."

Choza grunted, "Shikaku, we're alone here. You can speak freely. What do you really think?"

Shikaku sighed, rubbing his temple. "It's a tough situation. I'm afraid I have to admit, I suspect Danzo's role in the Uchiha massacre was far more significant than we were told. It might even be tied to Hokage-sama's actions."

Kaiichi and Choza exchanged worried glances. "We thought as much. That's why we came to you, hoping for your insight. Do you believe the Hokage had a hand in Danzo's death?"

Shikaku's eyes narrowed, and he motioned for silence. "Shh! Keep your voice down. Until we have proof, we shouldn't speak too openly."

Kaiichi's face was grim. "I could find proof, but Hokage-sama has made it clear he doesn't want us looking."

Choza added, "Danzo's already been buried, and there's no way to uncover the truth now."

Shikaku rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "What's Haruto's reaction been? Does he suspect anything?"

Kaiichi's frustration was palpable. "That's the part that doesn't add up. Haruto arrested Danzo, and it was clear he knew the truth, but after Danzo's death, Haruto didn't protest. In fact, he seemed pleased to have been promoted to captain of the police force!"

Shikaku gave a slight smile. "Ah, when it comes to power, the truth is irrelevant. Haruto got something out of this, so he's keeping quiet. The Uchiha need to stay on Konoha's good side, and Hokage-sama's plan is working."

Choza was about to speak, but Kaiichi silenced him with a look.

At that moment, Shikaku's son, Shikamaru, walked in with his schoolbag. At eight years old, he was the same age as Sasuke.

"Dad, Uncle Kaiichi, Uncle Choza, long time no see."

Shikaku blinked in surprise. "Shikamaru, aren't you supposed to be in school today?"

Shikamaru shrugged nonchalantly. "School's on break today. Grandpa Danzo passed away, so they gave us the day off to attend the funeral."

The three men stared at him, stunned.

"What did you say?" Shikaku asked, his voice a mix of confusion and disbelief.

Shikamaru sat down and took off his shoes. "Grandpa Danzo died this morning. They said he committed suicide in a mental hospital."

"Are you serious?" Shikaku asked, processing the news.

Shikamaru nodded. "Yeah, we're all supposed to attend the funeral. It's mandatory, just like when the first or second Hokage passed."

Shikaku stood, his expression darkening. "Something's wrong here. Danzo's death feels too suspicious. It seems like Hokage-sama is using this funeral as a way to announce something significant, something he wants the public to hear."

Kaiichi and Choza exchanged concerned looks. They knew Shikaku's instincts were seldom wrong.

"I need to get ready," Shikaku muttered, heading off to change.

Meanwhile, in the Uchiha clan compound, Haruto's household was stirring with activity.

Haruto woke to the sound of a system notification. Groggily, he opened his eyes and saw sunlight streaming through the window.

"Damn, it's already morning?" he muttered, carefully moving his arm from under Retsu's neck to avoid waking her. He dressed quietly and stepped outside, knowing today was important.

Haruto was busy overseeing the preparations for a grand event—a wedding. His wedding. Everything had to be perfect for his second round of marriages, which included Retsu, now officially a member of his household.

As he worked, little Sasuke emerged, dressed in black mourning clothes. Haruto paused and asked, "Sasuke, why are you dressed like that? Take them off!"

Sasuke looked confused. "Brother Haruto, what's going on? Why is all this happening?"

"We're getting married today, Sasuke! Isn't that exciting? You're going to have over 500 new sisters-in-law! And your New Year's money will be overflowing," Haruto said with a grin.

Sasuke blinked. "But… today's Danzo's funeral. They gave us the day off from school to attend."

Haruto's eyes widened in disbelief. "Danzo is dead?"

"Yeah, they said he committed suicide in a mental hospital this morning," Sasuke answered.

Haruto's mind raced. "A funeral? On the same day as my wedding? No way. I'm getting married today, and nothing's going to stop it. Danzo's death isn't something to mourn."

He turned to Sasuke. "Take off those mourning clothes and come celebrate with me. We'll go buy fireworks later. Danzo's funeral is beneath us, and none of the Uchiha should waste time on it."

Sasuke hesitated, still confused but willing to follow Haruto's lead.

"Don't worry," one of Haruto's wives chimed in. "We understand. We'll support you in everything."

The atmosphere lightened, and Haruto couldn't help but smile at his wives' support. As the preparations for the ceremony continued, he couldn't shake the feeling that something much bigger was at play. Danzo's death, so sudden and suspicious, was likely just the beginning.

Haruto knew that the game in Konoha was changing, and he was ready to take it all.
