Volume 1 Chapter 91: It's Over!
“Ning Chu!”
“Present~”
Ning Chu raised his hand while yawning, propping his head up with one hand as his name was called.
It had been three days already, yet the abdominal pain hadn’t subsided.
There was no room for luck anymore; medically speaking, he was probably fully a girl by now.
He sighed in despair and glanced at the message notification on his phone—another one from Han Jingye.
“What’s his problem…?” Ning Chu frowned, not even bothering to check the message.
He locked his phone screen and lazily slumped over the desk.
Having someone to chat with when bored wasn’t bad, but now that Wen Yang had expressed his concerns, Ning Chu had no choice but to ignore Han Jingye to prevent Wen Yang from defying his control and sneaking off to date.
The phone screen lit up again.
“Does he have nothing better to do at work…?” Ning Chu mumbled, feeling increasingly suspicious that this was related to the plot.
Could Han Jingye actually see him as a target this time?
He felt a bit guilty for being overly cautious of the diligent counselor before, but this time Han Jingye’s enthusiasm seemed excessive.
Initially, Ning Chu brushed it off as normal concern from a counselor, but after several days of frequent chatting, it started to feel off—especially during work hours.
“Is he messaging you again?” Wen Yang lowered his head and asked quietly.
“Yeah, I didn’t respond.”
Frowning slightly, Ning Chu lost interest in the lecture.
Wen Yang warned, “With how you look, that counselor might just be a pervert who likes cross-dressers. You should be careful.”
Oh, great! You’re using the same tactics I used to stop you from dating, aren’t you? Yesterday it was talking behind his back, today it’s scare tactics.
Ning Chu stifled a laugh, but the more he thought about it, the less he found it funny.
He began to suspect that Wen Yang was jealous.
If Wen Yang was truly jealous, it meant he wasn’t just casually fond of him..
Though Ning Chu was flustered, he managed to keep his cool.
Even if he was medically a girl now, at least he still had his manhood, no matter how small it is.
…
Finally, class ended, and Ning Chu felt refreshed.
He took a deep breath, grabbed his books, and followed Wen Yang to the next classroom.
Why were university classes not in a fixed room?
Trailing behind Wen Yang, Ning Chu unlocked his phone to check the messages from Han Jingye.
“Are you in class? Make sure to pay attention.”
“There’s a hygiene inspection this afternoon; don’t forget to tidy up your dorm.”
“Come to my office after class.”
Ning Chu glanced through the messages but didn’t reply.
He tugged on Wen Yang’s sleeve. “Wen Yang, there’s a hygiene inspection this afternoon.”
“Really? How come I didn’t know?”
“The counselor told me.”
The mere mention of the counselor gave Wen Yang a headache.
Just as he was about to say something, Zhang Shaoqing’s loud complaints echoed beside them.
“What the hell? Didn’t they just inspect us during military training?!”
“That was a month ago,” Wang Jie tried to calm him. “Our dorm could use a cleanup anyway; we can do it during lunch.”
“Our dorm is spotless!”
Zhang Shaoqing always complained the loudest, but when push came to shove, he was the first to cave.
Ning Chu, well aware of his blustering nature, rolled his eyes and turned to Wen Yang. “The counselor wants to see me.”
“What for?”
“I don’t know.”
“Want me to come with you?”
Without hesitation, Ning Chu shook his head. “I’m not going; I’ll just pretend I didn’t see his message.”
He felt Han Jingye’s overly friendly attitude was off and wasn’t keen on risking anything.
If Wen Yang triggered a plot, Ning Chu could still force himself to let go of the guy he’d trained for over a month.
Wen Yang might even be happy about it.
But if Ning Chu himself triggered a plot, whether he gave in or resisted and ended up transformed, it was completely unacceptable!
“I need to use the restroom.”
“Alright.”
The two of them took a turn toward the bathroom.
Ning Chu never used public restrooms, so he just stood idly in the corridor, waiting for Wen Yang to come out.
A girl, with her head hung low, slowly walked from the other end of the hallway.
Ning Chu’s attention was immediately drawn to her; he frowned, scanning her up and down.
It was the class vice-president, a wolf-girl who had left a deep impression on him during the class committee elections.
Back then, she seemed like she could knock him out with a single punch, but now she appeared subdued.
Her tail was tucked between her legs, and her once-perky gray ears drooped lifelessly.
Although she was the vice-president, she had no significant role in the story, so Ning Chu still hadn’t remembered her name.
But that didn’t mean he’d let his guard down!
Pretty background characters were dangerous too.
Within minutes, Wen Yang came out of the restroom, shaking off water from his freshly washed hands.
As soon as the wolf-girl spotted Wen Yang, she hurriedly approached.
“Just as I thought!”
Ning Chu, already on high alert, quickly stepped in front of her, blocking her path.
He had dealt with more than enough girls asking for contact details or outright confessing.
Before the wolf-girl could say a word, Ning Chu grabbed Wen Yang’s wrist and, pulling him away, explained dismissively, “Sorry, we’re busy~ Let us through~”
“W-Wen Yang… c-could you help me…?”
The wolf-girl’s voice, choked with sobs, made Wen Yang stop in his tracks.
Ning Chu pulled with all his might, but Wen Yang wouldn’t budge, digging his heels into the tiled floor.
Great, great! Men can’t resist a girl looking all pitiful, huh?
His true colors are showing now!
Reluctantly, Ning Chu stayed by Wen Yang’s side, glaring at the wolf-girl.
At least she wasn’t a plot character.
“What’s wrong?” Wen Yang asked, frowning. “Why are you crying?”
“I… I…”
The wolf-girl glanced warily at Ning Chu, clearly wanting him to leave, but Ning Chu stubbornly stayed put. “If you need help, say it in front of both of us. Two people are better than one.”
Wen Yang nodded, and the wolf-girl hesitated.
She glanced around to make sure no other students were nearby before lowering her head and speaking in a barely audible voice.
“I-I was sexually harassed by the counselor.”
“!!!”
Ning Chu and Wen Yang were both shocked.
Damn! This is bad!
