Chapter 23: SHOCKWAVE INTERLUDE

---

Location: Cybertron – Shockwave's Laboratory POV: Shockwave

The chamber stretched infinitely outward, its gleaming surfaces bathed in the glow of energon conduits. Holographic displays filled the air, casting flickering lights across rows of machinery that hummed with latent power. Automated drones moved with mechanical precision, tending to the endless intricacies of Shockwave's projects.

Shockwave stood motionless at the center of the chaos, his singular optic a glowing beacon of cold, calculated thought. He turned slightly, his voice calm and deliberate as he began his log.

"Shockwave's Log 047," he intoned. "Cybertron's reconstruction is 97% complete. The revitalized cities—Stratos Tyrannis, Nova Fortress, and The Bastion—now serve as hubs of industry and governance. Energon production and distribution have achieved maximum efficiency, ensuring the sustainability of Cybertronian operations both planetary and interstellar."

A console displayed a tactical map of Cybertron's moons, Luna-1 and Luna-2, their orbits pulsating with activity.

"Cybertron's moons, designated Luna-1 and Luna-2, are fully operational. Long-dormant facilities have been restored, including orbital factories and weapon platforms. Their outputs will bolster planetary defense grids and provide reinforcements for Lord Galvatron's campaign."

A transmission appeared on the monitor, the scarred visage of Commander Dreadhold filling the screen. "Lord Shockwave, Luna-1 reports interceptors and assault craft are being produced at maximum capacity. Reinforcements are en route to the Zaranthi Nebula as we speak."

Shockwave's optic flickered. "Commendable. Ensure all deployments maintain staggered intervals to avoid detection. Any inefficiency will not be tolerated."

The transmission ended, and Shockwave turned his attention to the next display—a sprawling array of projects and schematics.

Project Updates

Shockwave gestured toward a series of holograms, each displaying data streams and schematics tied to his most critical initiatives.

1. Project Devastator:

A hologram of an enormous capital ship appeared, its angular design bristling with weaponry. Shockwave's voice carried an edge of anticipation.

"The final stages of Project Devastator are nearing completion. Its primary weapon, the solar annihilation array, has achieved a 96% efficiency threshold. Testing will determine its viability against celestial threats, including hypothetical interactions with the Great Devourer."

2. Project Revitalisation:

The display shifted to show Cybertron's rejuvenated landscapes—new rivers of energon coursing through its cities, its surface glowing with life.

"Project Revitalisation proceeds on schedule. Cybertron's ecosystem has been reconstructed to 80% functionality, with new energon rivers and oceans sustaining its infrastructure. By the time Lord Galvatron returns, revitalization will reach near-total completion."

3. Project Ancients: The Prime Initiative

Shockwave's optic glowed brighter as he turned toward a containment chamber lined with the remains of ancient Cybertronians. The fragments pulsed faintly with energy, glyphs etched into their surfaces shimmering in the dim light.

"The recovery of Prime remains has introduced unprecedented opportunities," Shockwave began. "These artifacts retain residual energy signatures of immense potential. Integration with Lord Galvatron's unique spark composition will amplify his power beyond all known limits."

A schematic of Galvatron appeared, overlaid with glyphic enhancements from the Prime remains. "Preliminary testing indicates compatibility. When complete, Lord Galvatron will surpass the Primes themselves, transcending conventional Cybertronian evolution. His ascension is inevitable."

4. Project Dimensional Transversal:

The final hologram displayed a swirling vortex contained within a vast, intricate mechanism. Shockwave's tone shifted subtly, almost imperceptibly, as he continued.

"Project Dimensional Transversal represents infinite potential. With the resources of the Galactic Council, we are nearing a breakthrough. The stabilization matrix now maintains dimensional integrity for extended intervals, reducing collapse risk by 74%."

He gestured toward encrypted data streams. "The multiverse offers limitless opportunities: weapons, technologies, and knowledge that defy comprehension. However, logic dictates caution. Reckless incursions could provoke entities beyond our understanding."

Shockwave's optic narrowed. "Yet, the possibilities are... satisfying. Lord Galvatron's vision is vast, but the multiverse may extend it beyond even his current reach."

---

Territorial Management

The holographic display shifted, showing the sprawling map of Galactic Council territories now under Decepticon control. Planets glowed crimson, their resources being funneled into the Decepticon war machine.

"Integration of Galactic Council territories proceeds within acceptable parameters," Shockwave reported. "Local populations have been subdued, with dissenters neutralized. Resource extraction has achieved optimal levels, ensuring a steady flow of materials for continued conquest."

Surveillance footage displayed Decepticon overseers managing conquered cities. Towering PBM units maintained order, their imposing frames leaving no room for resistance.

"Rebellions in Sector Delta-47 have been eradicated," Shockwave continued. "Remaining insurgents will be repurposed as mindless labor units until deployment of the localised Omega Lock to cyberform the planet's. All conquered territories now contribute to the Decepticon empire's expansion."

---

Shockwave turned to a separate chamber, where his flagship, Project Leviathan, was nearing completion. Its dark, serrated hull gleamed with energon circuitry, its size dwarfing every other vessel in orbit.

"The Leviathan is the pinnacle of Cybertronian engineering," Shockwave said. "Equipped with multi-vector shield arrays and the Null Singularity Cannon, it is both a strategic command center and a weapon of unparalleled destruction."

Beside it stood a containment pod holding S.2, an identical replica of Shockwave himself. The duplicate's optic flickered faintly, awaiting activation.

"S.2 will serve as my extension," Shockwave explained. "Once operational, it will spearhead the search for Cybertron's lost colonies. These worlds, abandoned during the Great War, may hold untapped resources and technologies critical to our resurgence."

A schematic of scattered colonies appeared, each marked as a potential site for reconnection. "Logic dictates that no asset should remain dormant. Cybertron's resurgence requires absolute efficiency."

Closing Remarks

Shockwave stepped back, his optic sweeping over the displays that surrounded him. Each project, each initiative, was a cog in the grand machine of Cybertronian dominance.

"Lord Galvatron's vision propels our efforts," he concluded. "The Prime Initiative ensures his ascension to unparalleled strength. The multiverse project expands our reach into infinite possibilities. Together, these endeavors will solidify Cybertron's supremacy across all dimensions."

He paused, his optic glowing faintly brighter. "Emotion is illogical, yet progress is... satisfying. Cybertron will rise, and logic shall prevail."
