Chapter 267: The Fist Controls the World, the Lord of the World

______

The snowstorm raged on, blanketing the sky and earth in endless white.

Amidst the icy tempest, Aoki's figure quietly emerged.

After taking a moment to adjust his mood, he observed his surroundings.

"Another freezing wasteland? But this time, no Esdeath to greet me."

That's right—this was the world of Akame ga kill .

The reason for his arrival, however, was soon interrupted.

[Ding Dong!]

A system notification suddenly echoed in his mind, cutting off his train of thought.

"A mission triggered the moment I landed? Are you that eager to welcome me back?"

Aoki mused, his thoughts drifting as the system interface appeared before him.

---

[Mission Triggered: Become the Master of the World]

"Eh? Master of a world? That doesn't sound like the style of the 'Infinite Dragon Beast' profession."

Curious, Aoki summoned the familiar azure screen into view.

---

[One World Honored]

He walks across the land, ruling with strength and becoming the world's master.

Mission Requirements: Become the most recognized person in this world (0/100).

Mission Rewards: 15,000 experience points, 10 free skill points, Nature Seeds.

---

Aoki's eyebrows lifted in surprise.

The mission wasn't from the Infinite Dragon Beast profession but rather from Spirit of Nature.

This was completely unexpected.

"I didn't trigger a single mission in the Demon Slayer world for an entire year. Yet, the moment I step into this world, a mission lands in my lap. What's the deal? Are you discriminating between worlds?"

[Note: Racism!? From System, System will surely be Cancelled Right?]

He couldn't help but feel amused at the situation.

What surprised him even more was the mission's style.

"Become the strongest person recognized by the world?"

Aoki rubbed his forehead in mild exasperation.

No missions for a year, and now this—something so open-ended and complex.

Being the strongest person in the world was one thing, but being recognized as such? That was an entirely different challenge.

Unlike the Infinite Dragon Beast missions, which were straightforward and action-packed, this one left him to figure things out on his own.

---

However, when Aoki glanced at the mission rewards, all his complaints evaporated.

"There are no bad missions, only bad rewards," he muttered with a grin.

This one, however, was the opposite.

---

The rewards were incredible:

15,000 experience points

10 free skill points

Seed of Nature

Just the experience and skill points alone made this the most rewarding mission he had ever encountered.

And then there was the Seed of Nature. The name alone sparked endless curiosity.

As long as the rewards were worth it, Aoki didn't care how difficult the task was.

---

"So, how should I go about this?"

Aoki pondered seriously.

The mission's difficulty was no joke.

With his current strength, he could easily crush anyone in this world. In truth, he was already the strongest person here.

But being the strongest and being recognized as the strongest were two entirely different things.

---

The first idea that came to mind was to organize a "World's No. 1 Martial Arts Tournament."

However, he dismissed it almost immediately.

For one, the four major nations in this world were rife with conflicts. Hosting such a tournament in any one location would make it impossible to gather strong fighters from all over.

For another, even if the tournament could somehow be held, it would struggle to attract attention without the reach of television broadcasts or other modern means of communication.

"Given how slowly information spreads in this world, the mission can't possibly require me to be acknowledged by everyone.

If that were the case, the difficulty would be absurdly high, and the rewards far too little.

Perhaps I only need to gain the recognition of the world's most influential figures."

---

Aoki's thoughts churned, and gradually, an idea began to take shape in his mind.

The good news was that the task came with a progress tracker, allowing Aoki to monitor its status in real-time and quickly determine whether his methods were effective.

Regardless of the difficulty, the rewards made the task worth pursuing.

With a thought, Aoki dissipated the ice and snow around him, stepping into a different space.

For now, the task would have to wait—he had something more pressing to address.

---

In the planting area, many new plants had been added since his last visit. However, they were all withered now, save for the magnificent tree at the center.

Nearby, cages remained intact, each imprisoning a different creature.

Just like before, all the animals had died, leaving only two surviving ghosts.

One of these demons was brought from the pirate world.

Before the time travel, there had been four ghosts in the cages. Now, only two remained—the others had vanished entirely, leaving not even a corpse behind.

---

Aoki narrowed his eyes in thought.

The difference between the dead Demons and the living ones was simple: the living ghosts were entirely under his control, and he could even strip them of their thoughts.

He severed his connection with the two dead Demons, contemplating the situation.

"The answer is clear," he murmured. "It's not that Demons can survive time travel; it's my Demons that can survive it."

He hesitated briefly, recalling a similar situation from the past.

---

When his King of the white walkers profession was not yet maxed out, he had to create Demons himself and then kill them to gain experience.

However, the Demons under his control were considered allies and couldn't provide any experience at all.

This answer wasn't perfect, but it was good enough for his purposes.

---

"Sir, please, spare us!" the two Demons begged upon seeing Aoki.

When he remained silent, their pleas turned into curses.

"You bastard! I curse you—"

The Demons from the pirate world, in particular, was nearly mad with hunger, having never eaten anyone since becoming a Demons.

Their insults caught Aoki's attention.

"Well, you're no longer useful," he said coldly. "I'll grant you freedom."

With a flick of his hand, two bolts of lightning struck the ghosts.

Their screams echoed briefly before their forms disintegrated into black smoke, leaving nothing behind.

---

With the experiment complete, Aoki glanced at the various tools scattered around. He waved his hand, returning them to their proper places.

Then, his figure vanished from the space, reappearing in a new world.

---

The streets bustled with life, a steady flow of people coming and going. Vendors' cries blended into a chaotic yet vibrant melody.

"It's much more prosperous than when I left," Aoki observed, his gaze sweeping across the scene. "Najenda and the others have done an excellent job."

This was once the capital of the Eastern Empire.

The new nation had risen from the ashes of the old, corrupt empire. The city still served as the capital, and much of the architecture remained unchanged. However, the oppressive, decayed atmosphere had lifted.

Now, the people's faces were brighter, their expressions filled with vitality and hope.

---

"Kurome doesn't seem to be in the imperial capital," Aoki mused. "I wonder where she's gone."

He wandered aimlessly through the streets, his senses faintly picking up Kurome's location through their blood connection.

More importantly, she carried a spatial mark, so finding her wouldn't be difficult.

But there was no rush.

---

Eventually, Aoki arrived at a large square.

He strolled through it, taking in the space, before stopping in the center.

"Yes, this will do."

Placing his palms on the ground, he activated his power.

---

Rumble!

The earth trembled as a circular area, about 50 meters in diameter, began to rise.

It ascended three meters above the ground before halting.

With a sweep of his arm, everything in the square was flung aside, clearing the area.

An invisible force rippled outward, solidifying the elevated platform.

The ground shifted and rolled, forming layers of steps around the platform's edges.
