This Naruto is A Bit Too Evil

Chapter 31: Chapter 31 Respective Preparations

"Th-that, Naruto, you, you..."

Minato, who had just snapped out of his dazed and disbelieving state, called out to Naruto hesitantly, trying to speak but stumbling over his words.

"What's wrong?"

Naruto, who was observing the surroundings near the Uchiha Clan's compound, was drawn to Minato's sudden tone. He wasn't sure what had caused this reaction.

"It's, it's just, you, you, your..."

Minato was clearly struggling to get the words out, his face turning red, as if something was blocking him from speaking.

"?"

Minato's behavior was strange. Naruto thought there might be an issue with his Chakra and decided to find a safe spot to enter the seal space and check on him.

"Hahahahaha! Hahahahaha! I'm dying of laughter."

Kurama, who had been reading manga but keeping an eye on Minato, finally burst into laughter.

Minato's reaction was even more entertaining than the manga.

"Kurama, what's wrong with Yondaime?"

Hearing Kurama's laughter, Naruto knew it had the answers, so he asked directly.

Kurama grinned mischievouslyand said, "This guy, after seeing your eyes, started wondering if he'd been cuckolded. Hahahaha."

Minato's face turned bright red, unable to speak. He knew that this was actually impossible. After all, Naruto's hair and eyes were identical to his, and no one else in Konoha looked like that.

'But the Sharingan... Naruto didn't have Uchiha blood.'

'Could it be that Kushina had an Uchiha ancestor?'

Minato's mind raced with wild theories, 'Could it be that the Uzumaki Clan, in addition to intermarrying with the Senju, also had ties to the Uchiha?'

"Uh-"

Naruto realized he had never used his Sharingan in front of Minato before. After all, he had been training with Kakashi and Guy or practicing Sealing Techniques, so there had been no opportunity.

"These aren't my original eyes."

Naruto was too lazy to think of excuses to explain, and simply told the truth. After all, Shisui is the top priority now.

Minato snapped out of his thoughts. While Naruto's words raised some concerns, at least it wasn't the scenario he had imagined.

"Ah, I see. Haha, I wasn't really thinking much about it anyway."

Minato scratched the back of his head, awkwardly trying to explain himself.

"Alright, I've found a few good spots. If there's nothing else, I'll go set up the seals."

Naruto said with a flat expression, and his figure disappeared again.

"Ahaha." Minato saw that Naruto didn't care and laughed awkwardly.

---

"Phew-"

"With these seals, it should be enough."

Naruto breathed a sigh of relief and completed the last step of this seal.

To be safe, he had set up four seals in total. One by the Naka River. Since he often used malicious perception to sense the situation of the entire Konoha, he naturally knew the place where Shisui and Itachi frequently met in secret.

Along the path from the Hokage Tower to the Uchiha Clan's compound, he placed three more seals, forming a pincer formation.

'With a little guidance, Shisui would inevitably step into one of them.'

'Danzo, hurry up and make your move.'

---

"Shisui, it's been over a month, and the village still has no leads on the intruder. How about the Military Police Force? Any progress?"

In the Hokage's Office, Hiruzen stood facing the window, admiring the bustling streets of Konoha below.

Since Hiruzen had his back to Shisui, the Uchiha couldn't see his expression, but the low tone of his voice made it clear that Hiruzen was displeased.

Shisui felt a deep sense of bitterness. Over the past month, the Uchiha Clan's Military Police Force had done its best to search for clues about the intruder, and Shisui himself had been secretly investigating within the clan. Yet, they had found nothing.

Now, Shisui was starting to doubt whether the person who had ambushed him was even an Uchiha.

But if they weren't an Uchiha, then how could they wield the Mangekyo Sharingan? After all, even for non-Uchiha, using a three-tomoe Sharingan was incredibly difficult.

Even Hatake Kakashi, the genius son of the White Fang, struggled with a single three-tomoe Sharingan, let alone the Mangekyo.

"I'm sorry, Sandaime-sama, the Military Police Force hasn't found any leads either." Because Shisui couldn't see Hiruzen's expression, he felt uneasy.

"I see." Hiruzen pursed his lips, his eyes deep and unreadable, "In that case, we can't keep this up. The investigation into the intruder will have to be put on hold for now."

"Sandaime-sama! In this case, what if more villagers get hurt?" Shisui protested with concerned tone.

"We can't keep wasting Konoha's resources. I've already withdrawn all the investigators today. From now on, this matter will be handled by the Military Police Force. I trust the Uchiha Clan can protect Konoha."

Although Hiruzen's voice was calm and soft, it struck Shisui like a thunderclap. The anxious expression on Shisui's face turned to one of excitement.

Hiruzen's words finally allowed Shisui to let go of the tension he had been holding onto.

'Entrusting such an important task to the Military Police Force was undoubtedly a sign of Sandaime-sama's trust in the Uchiha Clan. Moreover, having the Uchiha protect Konoha was also an opportunity for the clan. This was Sandaime-sama's way of giving the Uchiha a chance to integrate into the village. As long as the Uchiha could find that person and protect Konoha, it would surely improve the relationship between the two sides.'

Shisui had made up his mind. He would go back and confess to Fugaku about the intruder being an Uchiha, asking for his help in the investigation. With that, they would definitely find that Uchiha. After all, the clan had to seize this opportunity.

"Please rest assured, Sandaime-sama. The Uchiha Clan will definitely complete your mission!"

Shisui's voice was filled with excitement. After speaking, he slightly raised his head, looking at Hiruzen's slightly hunched back.

Hiruzen nodded with feigned satisfaction, hesitating for a moment before adding: "Shisui, your eyes... have you used them?"

Shisui was also stunned for a moment, then replied with a hint of guilt, "I apologize, Sandaime-sama. Since the Military Police Force has been busy investigating the intruder, I haven't found a suitable opportunity."

Shisui's answer made Hiruzen's eyes narrow slightly.

'Using the intruder as a distraction? Or...'

Thinking about it, Hiruzen suddenly felt a cold sweat, 'I should not be controlled, right?'

Hiruzen repeated his sensei's words in his mind several times, reminding himself of the 'inherently evil Uchiha.' After confirming that he hadn't been influenced, he spoke again.

"It's alright, Shisui. I've always believed in your Will of Fire and the Uchiha Clan's love for Konoha. Do whatever you need to do boldly. Once this matter is resolved, I will, as the Sandaime Hokage, publicly acknowledge the Uchiha Clan's contributions to the entire village, which would help ease the tension between Konoha and the Uchiha Clan."

"Th-thank you, Sandaime-sama!"

The excitement in Uchiha Shisui's eyes could not be hidden at all, and he was on the verge of kneeling and kowtowing.

At this moment, his Will of Fire burned fiercely within him, and Hiruzen's image had become extremely towering and majestic in his eyes.

'Indeed, Sandaime-sama had been working hard to help the Uchiha Clan integrate into Konoha.'

"Mhm." Hiruzen nodded.

"In that case, you may go now."

"Yes, I'll go inform Fugaku-sama of this news immediately."

Shisui left, filled with excitement, but Hiruzen, who remained behind, clenched his fists. His face was expressionless, but the wariness in his eyes grew deeper.

'Shisui, perhaps your Will of Fire is genuine, but the safety of Konoha and the Land of Fire rests on my shoulders. I can't afford to gamble.'

'Danzo, I hope you don't mess this up.'
