Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Spark of Rebellion
The 7 Elements were gathered to receive the details of their mission. The person giving them their orders was an extremely important individual: it was the Emperor himself. Of course the Emperor himself was not visible, the team could only see a curtain and hear the voice coming from behind it.
"This rebellion is a real problem for me guys. You see the reason I conquered Ichia in the first place was because I wanted to go on a mountain vacation. They have beautiful mountains you know. Unfortunately I haven't even gotten a chance to go out there yet and they're already rebelling." The Emperor said.
"So here's the deal, obviously you have to squash this rebellion, but you can't be too rough about it. Destroyed scenery and a bunch of corpses rotting in the ground would ruin my vacation. So try to get the job done as gently as possible." He continued
The screen clicked off and switched to a feed showing the Minister of the Right. The Minister of the Right was a short and stocky man, his orange beard and eyebrows so thick it nearly covered his face. As Minister of the Right he was one of the highest ranking officers in Imperial High Command. His authority was only equaled by the Minister of the Left, and surpassed only by the Emperor.
"Now, I know you all just heard the Emperor give you his suggestion for how to complete the mission, but don't worry about that. Just get the job done as soon as possible, collateral damage is of no consequence." He said.
"Huh, but that's not what the Emperor said." "War" with visible confusion.
"I'm saying not to worry about what the Emperor said. Just get the job done by any means necessary the Emperor won't mind either way." The Minister said before cutting off the transmission, as if to say that there wouldn't be any further discussion about it.
"Am I the only one who thought that was weird? It was like he was contradicting everything the Emperor was saying" "War" said, but the rest of the team avoided the question.
"Alright moving on I guess. How do rebellions work around here do we have to fight a War Festival again?" "War" asked.
"No, unfortunately this will have to be fought by conventional means." "Wind" replied.
"So we're going to have to defeat an entire army with only the handful of people we have here?" "War" asked.
"Well to be honest I believe our team is capable of slaughtering their army and taking the planet back, and I believe that is what the Minister is expecting from us. It would be pretty brutal though." "Wind" said.
"Yeah but that's not what the Emperor wants. We're in a pretty tough spot I guess." "War" said.
"Well just to be clear we won't be going alone, we'll be joined by our auxiliary members and I'm sure you're not aware of this but every member of the 7 Elements has a personal assortment of troops." "Wind" said.
"Things have been pretty busy around here so I suppose we haven't had time to tell you about it. Each member has 10,000 soldiers in their personal army and as captain you'll receive 20,000 personal troops, giving us a total of 80,000 men under your command. Adding the 50,000 men we're going to receive from the Imperial Army we should have 130,000 troops for this mission." He continued.
"Alright that's pretty good. That should be enough to make a difference." "War" said.
"Unfortunately the 20,000 men serving under "Light" and "Darkness" obviously will not be there and by extension neither will they." "Wind" said.
"Alright well, that still leaves us 110,000 men. How many men do they have?" "War" asked.
"They have 110-" "Wind" started to say before "War" cut him off.
"Even numbers huh? This should be pretty easy then." He said.
"No you didn't let me finish. I was going to say that they have 110 million men. Ichia is a small planet, but we're still talking about an army that spans an entire planet. It's on a totally different scale than you're used to." "Wind" said.
"So you're telling me that we are outnumbered 1000 to 1? Are you sure we can take them?" "War" asked.
"Yes, definitely. All they have is numbers, their fighters are very weak. Like I said we could butcher them all single handedly, the soldiers are just there to hold territory." "Wind" said.
"Hmm, I see." "War" said grabbing his chin, clearly deep in thought.
"War" spent the entire trip Ichia in his cabin with strict orders to not be disturbed. When the team finally did land, "War" was brought to his two lieutenants that led his personal army.

"Lord "War" it's an honor to finally meet you. We are your adjutants, my name is Toudou of the Tou clan. We are at your command sir." Toudou said while the two lieutenants were bowing, after he finished speaking the two stood up saluted and Denjimi introduced himself.
"It is an honor to serve you Lord "War". My name is Denjimi of the Den clan. Please allow me to be of service." Denjimi said.
"Thanks but you guys don't have to be so formal. All that bowing and "Lord" stuff kinda makes me uncomfortable. I'd prefer it if you can speak to me more relaxed." "War" said.
"We'll do our best sir." Toudou said.
"Anyway before we get into battle plans, can you give me a quick rundown of what we're working with? I want to know how skilled our troops are." "War" asked.
"Of course my lord allow me. We have the 60,000 men of your personal armies that were brought here from Vercheg. These men have been trained by the former captain of the 7 Elements and have some combat experience." Denjimi explained.
"These men are strong and fiercely loyal to the 7 Elements, they will be a powerful asset. On the other hand the 50,000 troops sent from the Imperial Reserve Army are practically new recruits with no combat experience. If they were accepted into the Imperial Army they aren't exactly weak, but still they won't be as capable." He continued.
"I see. That's very helpful thank you." "War" said and Denjimi bowed his head slightly and stepped back. "Hey I got a question for you guys." He said directing his line of questioning towards his teammates.
"Can any of you guys use your elements to create soldiers or anything like that? If so how many do you think you can pull off making?" He asked.
"Yes, we can all do something along those lines. Although "Earth" and "Water's" are the only ones that are capable of high level combat." "Wind" said. "It varies between each of us but on average it'd say we can make around 25,000 each."
"Whoa that's pretty impressive. That'll just about double our numbers that's perfect. You guys go ahead and get started on that, then I want you two to get everyone into formations." "War" said giving out orders. After an hour or so, all the soldiers were in formation and were divided into six divisions.
There were the armies of "Earth", "Wind", "Fire", and "Water" each with roughly 35,000 men including their elemental soldiers. Next was the 50,000 Imperial Reserve soldiers who would be led by the former leader of Amazon Rouge, Margarita. A decision "War" made out of a lack of any other options. Finally there was "War's" army of 20,000, led by "War" and his two lieutenants.
"Sir, all of the troops are formed up and ready for your orders." Toudou said. "Would you care to say a few words before the battle?"
"Yeah sure" "War" said as he sauntered up to a hill where he could oversee all his troops. He looked out at them and began to speak.
"MEN!!! ATTENTION!!!!"
"War's" words boomed like thunder and suddenly every man felt as if they had been struck by a jolt of electricity. The men all instantly stood at attention.
"We have been given orders from the Emperor to crush these rebels and restore peace in this region! It is our honor bound duty to fulfill these orders! The Ichi Army outnumbers us nearly 1000 to 1, but what does a lion care about how many ants gather against him?!!!?"
The men gathered there gave a loud roar in response to "War's" words before he continued speaking.
"On my journey here I sent two messages to the Ichi Royal Court! The first was a request for them to peacefully surrender! They refused! The second was an offer to settle this matter by way of a dual between me and a champion of their choosing! Again they refused! I have made generous efforts to end this conflict without further bloodshed, but they have chosen to sent their men to die in battle anyway. These are the actions of desperate men!"
"It surely is a noble thing to protect one's homeland, but we are fighting to protect our homes as well! We are fighting to protect OUR Empire from the chaos and disorder and violence that this rebellion will incite! You men are the shield that protects this Empire and the spears that deliver justice to its enemies. I ask you will you fight for me men?!!!?"
"Hooah!!!!!" The soldiers shouted.
"I have the course for victory already plotted! Will you follow me men?!!!?"
"HOOAH!!!!!"
"THEN LET'S GO!!!!!"
