Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Mercenaries’ Battleground
"Listen lady I'm not having a good day and I'm not in the mood for jokes. So will you just get lost?" "War" told the women who had just arrived.
"Oh looks like the rumors about you guys are true. You guys are too SCARED to fight women." The woman at the front said.
"Apparently the guys who hired us made a bet with your higher ups that you couldn't beat us. If we win their planet will be freed." She continued "I'm sure that you'll use some excuse like honor or chivalry but the truth is you are all just cowards."
At this point "War" had been pushed over the edge, the vein's in his face were bulging out and he said,
"This one's mine the rest of you, get lost." He said with such intense pressure that no one could say anything in response, they could only do as he said.
"Looks you and me are going to be dancing partners here. It's fortunate that-" She was saying as "War" cut her off.
"Enough. That's enough talking. You were paid to kill me right? Well it's time for you to get to work unless you're planning on talking me to death."
"You wanna get straight to business huh? I like the way you think!" She screamed as she lunged forward to attack "War".
Meanwhile in another part of the facility "Water" was face to face with another member of the mercenaries.
Terica Game
Age:20
Ht: 5'5
Wt: 110
Special Ability: Smoke Screen
"I don't want to hurt a woman so would you mind giving up?" "Water" asked.
"I can tell that you are stronger than me, so I would like to avoid fighting as well. What do you say to waiting until the other fights finish and whoever's team loses just surrenders?"Terica said.
"Yes that suits me just fine." "Water" replied.
The two then went on to sit in an awkward silence for the remainder of the conflict. At the same time "Earth" had caught up with his opponent.
Nota Dorne
Age: 27
Ht: 5'10
Wt: 125
Special Ability: Sticky Acid
"I guess it's going to be you versus me. Are you ready to get started?" Nota asked.
"Sorry but the only woman I'll get physical with is my wife, so I'll have to decline your offer." "Earth" replied.
"Do you think you have the luxury of refusing to fight me?" Nota asked while firing a sticky liquid from her hands that instantly melted a hole in the wall she hit.
"Why of course I do."
Iron Rock Jaill!!!!
Rocks shot up from the ground and enveloped Nota until she was encased up to her shoulders in stone.
"Do you think something like this can hold me?" She asked while attempting to melt the rock with her ability. However, she was unable to make any progress. "Why isn't it working?"
"You see my Iron Rock Jail seals away aura. Even if it didn't I doubt even your acid could melt that stone." "Earth" said.
Nota continued to struggle for a while before saying, "Come on why don't you let me go so we can fight fair and square? I'm sure that you'll have more fun playing with me than that silly wife of yours."
As soon as she said this the stone rose and covered her mouth.
"I'm sorry but if I let you continue speaking then I might lose my temper." "Earth" said.
Around this time "Wind" had caught up with the mercenary he had been chasing, and the two were in a secluded room. As "Wind" entered the room the door shut behind him.
"I hope you don't mind, I just wanted us to have some privacy." She said as she removed the long cloak she was wearing.
Rillie Weatan
Age: 25
Ht: 5'2
Wt: 135
Special Ability: Seduction Slave
Rillie's ability ,Seduction Slave, allows her to completely control any man who is seduced by her.
"Just seeing me is probably enough for my ability to take effect." She thought to herself. "Alright I want you to go kill all your friends, if you do a good job maybe I'll reward you after." She said.
"Wind" walked toward her and put his hands on her shoulders.
"Hmm, he's being a bit more aggressive than I'm used to but now that I get a closer look he's actually pretty good looking. Maybe I'll play around a bit before I put him to work. Wait what's he doing?" She thought to herself.
As she was thinking, "Wind" brought his head back and smashed her head with a headbutt that knocked her out.
"I prefer women with more backbone." "Wind" said as we walked away.
As "Wind" finished up the battle between "Fire" and his opponent had already begun.
Tilca Gram
Age: 22
Ht: 6'5
Wt: 170
Special Ability: Hardening
Tilca used her ability to harden her fists and was throwing a vicious onslaught of punches at "Fire", though he managed to dodge every one.
"Is dodging all you can do?" Tilca asked.
"Get real, obviously I'm not fighting back because you're a woman." "Fire" retorted. "In fact I'm not even going to entertain this anymore." He said as he started to walk away.
"Oh are you going to just run away little man?" She asked mockingly.
"Little! Me? That's it!" "Fire" howled furiously.
Firebolt Arrow!!!!
The fiery arrow blasted Tilca knocking her unconscious. "Fire" had taken care to hold back enough to not kill her. He had been enraged by her words but he had retained enough sense to not completely turn her into ashes.
As the other four members were finishing up their battles, "War" was still engaged in combat with the mercenaries' leader.
Margarita Pringpai
Age: 24
Ht: 5'5
Wt: 125
Special Ability: Momentum Rush
"My ability ,Momentum Rush, gives me more power the more punches I throw. They don't even need to land." She explained.
"Trying to give yourself a power boost by explaining your ability? Well if you think it'll help." "War" said as he nonchalantly blocked and dodged her punches.
Margarita kept swinging punches at "War" and eventually she threw a punch that created a massive crater and a towering cloud of dust to appear where her punch landed. The cloud of dust dissipated and revealed "War" holding her fist in his hand.
"So I take it that was your best punch?" "War" asked.
She threw another punch that had the same effect but it was caught by "War" in the same way.
"I guess there is a limit to how powerful your punch can get, and that was it." He continued.
Margarita looked shocked that her strongest attack didn't have any effect on him. She prepared herself to attack again regardless, but stopped when "War" put his hand up.
"Just wait a minute there are a few things that I want to say before we continue. The first and foremost is that you and your comrades are NOT weak." He said.
"In fact I'd go as far as to say that you're among the strongest people I've fought. I say that because I didn't want you to mistake our gentle treatment of you ladies to be mistaken for taking you lightly." He continued. "The second thing is as you can probably tell, all of teammates have been defeated there's no way that you can defeat all of us alone."
"The way I see it is if I beat you, the strongest member, then the rest should more or less be easy." She replied.
"Hmph, fair enough I'm sure I would say something similar if I was in your shoes." "War" said.
"That leads me to the final thing I need to ask you. Are you a warrior or a woman?" He asked.
"Huh? What kind of question is that? Of course I'm a-" She said while being interrupted.
"Please wait until I explain what I mean because this is really important and I'm only going to ask once. According to my code of chivalry I will never harm a woman, that's why even though you mocked my chivalry and honor earlier I didn't retaliate and calmed down." He said.
"However, one of the most important pieces of my Chivalry is that I will always give my all against any warrior that I see on the battlefield. Regardless of what they got between their legs, I'll crush them with everything I got. So I'll ask one last time are you a warrior or a woman?" He continued.
"Are you stupid? Of course I've been a warrior for my whole life, and that's not changing today!" Is what she wanted to say, but the pressure of death coming from "War" was so strong that she couldn't speak.
She fell to her knees and for the first time in her life experienced fear. The only thing she could manage to say was, "I-I'm a w- I'm a woman." She said in a defeated tone.
He reached out and pat her on the head and as he helped her up he said, "That's fine, nobody will hurt you. You girls can go ahead and go home."
