They Were Reborn And Said I Am The Savior

Chapter 5 - Lots of Luck!

“Welcome! What can I help you buy…”

The shop owner raised his head and was immediately startled.

He saw a dashing young man, surrounded by over a dozen intimidating men in black suits, all staring at him with a fierce expression, clearly not people to mess with.

Sizing up the situation, the shop owner quickly raised his hands and said, “Gentlemen, take whatever you want. If it’s not enough, I’ll add more!”

Lin Daotian helplessly said, “Boss, we’re not here to rob you; we’re just here to buy something.”

The shop owner paused, confused, “Buy something? What do you want to buy?”

“Scratch-off lottery tickets. Bring them all out!”

“Oh, oh… okay!”

The shop owner hurriedly brought out a box of scratch-off tickets.

Lin Daotian thought for a moment and muttered to himself, “Let’s start with ten tickets and see.”

Wang Biao stepped forward, swiftly pulling out a 50 yuan note and handing it to the shop owner with a flourish. “Keep the change!”

The shop owner twitched at the corner of his mouth. “You’re short! Each ticket is 10 yuan, you only gave me 50!”

Wang Biao was a bit taken aback. “That expensive?”

“The winning odds are high!”

Wang Biao quietly handed over another 50 yuan.

With the transaction complete, Lin Daotian finally started scratching the tickets.

He first gave his panda a good rub, then pulled out one ticket and began scratching it quickly.

In the end, the result revealed: 500 yuan!

The shop owner got excited, “Congratulations! You’ve won 500 yuan! With just one ticket, you’ve already made 400 yuan profit! Impressive!”

Lin Daotian remained expressionless, gave the panda another rub, and continued scratching.

The next ticket: 800 yuan!

The shop owner was even more excited, “Congratulations again! In all my years of running this shop, it’s the first time I’ve seen someone win back-to-back. You’re having an unbelievable lucky day!”

“Thank you!” Lin Daotian gave a reserved smile and kept scratching.

1,000 yuan!

The shop owner was practically losing his mind, “Oh my god! Another win! Three wins in a row! You’re on fire!”

But the truly shocking part was yet to come.

Lin Daotian kept scratching ticket after ticket, and each one was a winner. The prize amounts kept climbing, ranging from 2,000 to 20,000 yuan.

The shop owner was completely floored. “What… what is this? Even if the odds here are high, there’s no way someone could win like this! How are you doing this?”

Lin Daotian, while rubbing his panda, laughed and said, “You should be asking yourself that since the tickets came from your shop!”

The shop owner regretted it deeply. “If I had known these tickets had such high odds, I would’ve scratched them myself!”

“Just one more left!” Lin Daotian glanced at the last lonely scratch-off ticket and smiled slightly. He looked down at the panda in his arms and said, “Why don’t you scratch this one for me?”

The panda, looking a bit excited, raised a sign that read: “No problem!”

Then, it used its tiny paws to scratch the ticket.

The shop owner took one look and nearly fainted from shock.

“Oh my god! It’s the grand prize—500,000 yuan!”

A prize of this magnitude might only be won a few times a year across the whole city, and here it was happening right in front of him.

Even more terrifying, this customer had not only won the 500,000 yuan grand prize but had won on nearly every ticket before it, bringing the total winnings to 530,000 yuan—more than the shop owner had made in years of running his business!

If it weren’t for the dozen intimidating men behind the customer, the shop owner might’ve been tempted to rob him right then and there!

Barely able to speak, the shop owner stammered, “Sir, congratulations once again! Your luck today is heaven defying! I’ll help you process everything and transfer the 530,000 yuan. But… I have one small request, if you don’t mind.”

“What is it? Go ahead and say it,” Lin Daotian replied casually.

The shop owner excitedly said, “I want to take a photo with you and promote this event!”

Lin Daotian waved his hand, “Better not!”

“Customer, are you afraid others will know you have money? Don’t worry, I’ll blur your face, I guarantee no one will recognize you!” the owner pleaded.

“I’m not afraid of people knowing I have money; I’m just afraid they’ll find out I won the lottery!”

The owner was taken aback, “Huh? Why?”

Lin Daotian sighed helplessly, “I usually make hundreds of thousands in minutes, but today it took me 10 minutes just to earn 500,000. It’s embarrassing! If my friends find out, they’ll laugh me to death! I can’t afford that kind of shame!”

The owner continued to be stunned, “Is that really a thing?”

“Of course! You wouldn’t understand my pain! In our circle, it doesn’t matter how much money you have; the key is face! You can be broke, but you can’t lose face!”

The owner: “…”

He felt Lin Daotian was just putting on airs, but he had no evidence.

Then, Lin Daotian shared the winning lottery tickets with his bodyguards.

“Share them with everyone!”

“Thank you, Young Master!”

The bodyguards were extremely excited.

The reason they were willing to follow Lin Daotian was that he treated them well and was generous. Look at that, in just a short time, he earned them over 500,000; it felt great!

After collecting the winnings, Lin Daotian left with everyone.

In the car, Lin Daotian happily stroked the panda.

He had to admit, this panda was truly lucky. Although it wasn’t useful in combat, its luck was off the charts. In critical moments, it could always made a huge difference.

Now, he was thinking about how to make the most of the panda’s special talent.

About half an hour later, the convoy arrived at a luxurious estate.

The bodyguards and servants busying around the estate all ran over, opened the grand gate, and then stood on either side of the path, bowing and greeting, “Welcome back, Young Master!”

Lin Daotian got out of the car with a blank expression, and as everyone welcomed him, he walked along the path.

As the son of the Dragon King, he had long since gotten used to this kind of treatment.

At the end of the path stood a tall, free-spirited man, casually holding a cigar, looking at Lin Daotian with a smile as he approached.

This man was his father, known as the Dragon King, Lin Aotian!

“Son, you’re back, haha!”

He laughed heartily and walked over, opening his arms for a bear hug.

The hug made Lin Daotian feel a bit suffocated: “Dad, easy on me; I’ve got a panda in my arms!”

“Sorry, I forgot for a moment!”

Lin Aotian released him and looked at the sticky rice ball in Lin Daotian’s arms, curiously asking, “Son, is this your summoned beast, the panda? It’s really adorable!”

The panda, hearing this, was overjoyed and quickly raised its card to greet: Handsome, you’re great too!

Lin Aotian beamed with delight: “This little guy is really something… not only cute, but it’s also sweet-talking! I’m getting old, and it still calls me ‘handsome,’ haha… hurry, let’s show it to your mother; she’ll definitely love it!”

Lin Daotian helplessly replied, “Dad, don’t be deceived by its looks! Just because it looks cute doesn’t mean it’s innocent! When it first arrived, it wanted to ride on my head!”

“Really? That’s interesting, haha…”

Lin Aotian laughed heartily, throwing an arm around Lin Daotian’s shoulders and pushing him toward the villa: “Stop talking so much; it’s time for dinner, let’s eat first!”

“Okay, sure!”
