The Vixen's Gambit: Tonight We Hunt

Time flew by, winter turned to spring, the snow in Kolosten melted, and the town was now blooming with flowers.

"So, the contradictions in this world are largely caused by the backwardness of feudal society. If we want to change the world, surface-level actions won't work. We have to smash the old world and build a new society."

"Right now, Schicksal-controlled Europe is a typical feudal society, but capitalist ideas are beginning to take root. Once the modes of production change, the new social classes that emerge will likely overthrow the old rulers and usher in a new, capitalist society."

"Such a society would be an improvement, but oppression would still exist. The only way to eliminate it is to build an equal, democratic society with abundant resources!"

"Then the world will be free from exploitation. Everyone will live and work in peace, pursue their dreams, and live a peaceful life!"

In the ruins on the outskirts of Kolosten, Lihua lectured her two young listeners with a piece of chalkboard she'd scavenged.

The two listeners had completely different reactions to her advanced ideas.

The white-haired girl on the left was wide-eyed and eager, practically ready to join the revolution: "Waku waku!"

The boy on the right, however, was visibly worried after the initial shock.

"Lihua, your ideas are amazing, but you shouldn't tell anyone else about them except for me and Kallen."

Otto's eyes were filled with concern. However, Kallen immediately retorted, "Why not? If Lihua's ideas can be realized, everyone in town wouldn't be so unhappy! Everyone should know about this!"

"If we all work together, we can make this dream come true!"

"The idea is good, but..."

Schicksal wouldn't allow such ideas. Those who threatened their interests would be sent to the gallows.

Otto opened his mouth to speak, but hesitated before finally saying, "Even if we emptied the treasuries of the three great families, we still wouldn't have enough supplies for everyone. If we tell everyone but can't deliver on our promises, they'll be disappointed."

"I guess you're right..." Kallen looked dejected, but quickly cheered up. "It's okay. If we keep trying, we'll make it happen!"

"Yeah, let's talk about it later."

Lihua, on the stage, nodded in satisfaction.

To solidify her image as a compassionate idealist while transitioning from a brat to a mature "older sister," she decided to use modern ideology as her foundation.

And the reason for her sudden shift wasn't because bullying Otto wasn't fun anymore; it was because Kallen, Otto's "white moonlight," had finally appeared.

Lihua and Otto had met Kallen while testing Otto's new walking robot model. The three of them quickly became good friends.

It's no wonder she's Otto's beloved. They bonded so quickly.

Otto already had another friend, and it was someone he loved. Continuing to act like a brat when his white moonlight had appeared would only reduce his favorability, eventually turning her into the typical comic relief character. Lihua wouldn't do anything pointless like that.

So she quickly transitioned and started on a new path.

She checked her system's favorability readings. The results made her very happy.

That's right, Lihua had not only worked on Otto's favorability, but also Kallen's.

She needed to farm the energy of both boys and girls; that was the only way to be balanced!

Unfortunately, Otto's favorability hadn't changed since reaching level 10, which was disappointing.

She had hoped for a massive boost, but it seemed that even if Kallen was there, she couldn't get the same boost.

Because of that, her recent favorability grinding had focused mainly on Kallen. The reason why she had given the two of them a lecture today was because Kallen had asked her how to save the world.

Since Kallen had asked, Lihua had no reason to refuse. So she pulled out her modern worldview and made Kallen's eyes sparkle.

"Alright, saving the world isn't a walk in the park. It can't be accomplished overnight."

Lihua smiled and put down the small wooden stick that served as her pointer. "Any social system has to be aligned with the means of production. Forcing a new social structure right now won't be sustainable."

"But I believe in Otto. I know he can make this happen." Lihua smiled as she leaned closer to Otto.

"After all, our hero is a great inventor!"

"I, I'll do my best..." Otto blushed, avoiding Lihua's gaze.

"Too close!"

Kallen suddenly appeared between the two and pushed them apart.

She didn't know why, but even though Lihua was her friend and Otto was also her friend, she felt unhappy when she saw them so close to each other!

"It wasn't that close..."

"It was way too close!"

Oh, so Kallen can get jealous, too?

Lihua was confused. She wasn't that knowledgeable about Honkai, but she knew Kallen was eventually seduced by a female fox spirit and cuckolded Otto.

So, Kallen isn't a lesbian yet?

Whatever, it's none of my business if Otto gets cucked.

Lihua grabbed an apple from Kallen's bag, peeled it, and cut it into small pieces. She placed them on a plate and handed it to Kallen so that the glutton wouldn't starve while they argued.

After all, Kallen hadn't eaten anything for twenty minutes just to listen to her lecture.

"L-Lihua, I want some too..."

Otto looked enviously as Kallen happily ate the apple Lihua had peeled for her.

Hearing Otto, Kallen instantly devoured all the apple slices in the plate, burped, and gloated, "Sorry, all gone."

"Alright, alright. I'll make you some cookies when we get back."

Lihua stood up, exasperated. Kallen and Otto really were still just kids. They were fighting over food!

I feel like a teacher looking after toddlers...

But as long as it earned her energy, Lihua had no problem being a preschool teacher.
