Chapter 3: Chapter 3: First Challenges

Encounter with Goblins :

After hours of walking, Rafa reached a denser area of the forest. The trees were taller and closer together, blocking part of the sunlight. The air was cooler, and the sound of leaves being stepped on echoed in the distance. He stopped for a moment, trying to identify the source of the noise.

Suddenly, a group of goblins appeared, surrounding him. They were grotesque creatures, with dark green skin, yellowish eyes, and sharp teeth. Some carried improvised spears, while others brandished sharp pieces of wood. They growled threats in an incomprehensible language, but their meaning was clear: they wanted to attack him.

Rafa felt fear take over him. He had never faced a situation like this on Earth. His mind raced, searching for a solution. "If I run, they'll catch me. If I fight... will I be able to?"

Remembering his Visionary ability, he decided to use it to escape. He imagined a protective barrier around him, blocking the goblins' attacks. They tried to break through it, but the barrier was solid and resistant. Rafa seized the moment to create a sharp spear and begin to counterattack. He threw the spear at the nearest goblin, hitting him squarely in the chest. The others retreated for a moment, but soon returned to attack. Rafa continued to create weapons and barriers as needed, but each use of his ability left him more exhausted. Post-Battle Reflection: After defeating the goblins, Rafa fell to his knees, panting. His body trembled with exhaustion, and his mind was clouded. He realized that using his ability intensely drained his physical and mental energy. "I need to learn to control this better," he thought, frustrated. He examined the bodies of the goblins and noticed that some were carrying strange coins and items that seemed valuable. He took some of the coins, thinking that they might be useful later. He also found a torn map in one of the goblin's pockets. Although he didn't fully understand the symbols, he was able to identify a spot marked "Valmere."

"It must be a nearby town or city," he deduced. Determined to find answers, he put the map away and headed in the direction indicated.

Learning and Adapting:

During his walk, Rafa reflected on the battle. He realized that Eldoria was a brutal world, where only the strong survived. He knew he needed to learn how to use his Visionary ability more efficiently, avoiding wasting energy.

He also began to think of strategies to deal with future dangerous encounters. "If I create traps or illusions, I can deceive my enemies without having to face them directly," he thought. This idea excited him, as it combined his strategic intelligence with his unique ability.

As the day progressed, Rafa felt a mix of fear and excitement. He knew that Eldoria was a dangerous place, but also full of possibilities. He was determined to survive and discover everything this new world had to offer.
