The Taoist In The Multiverse!

Chapter 2: Two - A day in the life of a young Taois- oops, I meant Ninja.

"Go on, brat, why are you nagging so much? Don't be like your grandmother." In a thatched house on the southern district of Konoha, an old man with rugged skin and eyes that showed the vicissitudes of life spoke in a angry tone.

"Don't be like that, grandpa, being angry is not good for your health. It will cause an imbalance of yin and yang."

Worried about his grandpa's health, Yuta spoke nonsense very naturally, even he believed his words, not to mention the stunned grandpa Himori.

"You... Alas, why do you behave so much like your father?" The old man sighed and didn't say much. Although his face still showed a crunched and unhappy expression, he still petted the head of his grandson. "Go, stop thinking about the store, I, your grandpa, am still far away from the grave, it's not your turn to worry about my health."

"But..." Just as he was about to refute, the old man's eyes narrowed and Yuta decisively shut up.

Nodding in satisfaction, Himori turned around, grabbed his coat and left under the cold winds of the morning.

On the side, grandma Haruko watched this scene silently with a smile on her face.

Standing up from the couch, she walked up to him and patted Yuta on the shoulder, making him turn and look at her.

"Your grandpa is very stubborn, Yuta-chan." Her eyes shone for a moment as she reminisced old memories with a smile. "Wanting him to rest his old bones is like asking him to die. If you really want to help, learn well at the academy, and when you become a powerful shinobi, you can use some money to buy medicine and good food to help keep your grandpa's health in good condition."

Yuta stood silently for a moment before nodding. "I understand, grandma!"

Seeing his serious look, grandma Haruko laughed cheerfully and pinched his cheeks, making him flush with anger.

Still, he didn't dare to curse at his grandma, and just glared at her.

Unfortunately, she pretended not to see it.

"Go! Don't get late for school on your second day."

Nodding, Yuta bid farewell to his grandma and left towards the door.

On his way out, he stopped at a small altar on the hallway, lit up an incense stick, clasped his hands and bowed towards a faded picture of a young couple.

"I'm leaving, mom, dad!"

With that, he turned around and left, closing the door behind him.

...

The day started in class 1-A with an angry teacher.

One of his classmates, a black haired boy with goggles, arrived late, and used an unbelievable excuse to justify his tardiness.

"Sensei, it's true, I really had to help a grandma defeat two dogs!"

Obito was on the verge of crying as he showed to the teacher the two ripped and scratched sleeves of his dust filled jacket.

"You..." The veins on Saburo-sensei's forehead bulged as he glared at Obito. Just when he wanted to scold him a little more, he suddenly remembered the identity of this kid, and gave up. What does the education of a student has to do with him anyway? He'd rather go back to doing tasks outside than to offend the Uchiha clan.

"Alright, go and sit down."

Nodding, the thankful Obito sat down on the first row next to a civilian girl who seemed to be familiar with him.

"Hehe, what a dumb guy!"

"Hey, be careful, he's an Uchiha, it's better not talk about him."

Hearing the whispers of his classmates, there was a strange look on Yuta's face, he wondered what their expression would be once Obito turned into the tail of the crane in this class.

Next, Saburo-sensei began to introduce this year's curriculum. In consideration of the large number of civilian students, the first six months of classes wouldn't include any sparring activities.

The focus was on building on the most basic common sense of Ninjas and also teaching them how to knead Chakra and basic chakra control exercises.

The rest of the time was divided between several classes.

Among which is history, where they will learn about the founding of Konohagakure and the overall situation of the world before its founding, then there's math, science, geography, cultural studies and physical education. For various reasons, ninjas are often required to perform various kinds of technical jobs, so the curriculum wasn't much different from what was taught in his previous life.

Soon, the sounds of pencils writing stopped, and every child focused their eyes on Saburo-sensei.

"Alright everyone, now that we're finished with the introductory class, we will have our first practical lecture."

Smiling, he waved his hands, calling everyone over.

When the kids approached, he sat down on the ground and told everyone to follow.

"Everyone, take a look at this scroll in my hands."

Looking up, Yuta saw the outline of a person and the drawings of countless interconnected lines spread across a system of dots, with a swirling mass of blue flames at the center.

"Do any of you know what this is?"

Quickly, five children raised their hands. After a quick glance, the teacher picked the girl who raised her arm first.

"Sensei!" Yuhi Kurenai nodded. "This is the chakra pathway system, it depicts the channels through which chakra travels across our bodies and the release points of chakra, which are called tenketsu or pressure points in folk medicine."

"That's it." Saburo nodded with a smile, his eyes sweeping the crowd. "Everyone, inside of you there are 100 trillion cells capable of producing a lot of energy. When this energy is paired with your spiritual power, which can also be understood as the power of your soul, you can knead a type of energy called Chakra."

Having said that, he rolled the scroll to a second segments which showed physical energy in red being mixed with spiritual energy in blue, and a yellow flame like energy being born from it.

"How much energy we humans can have at any given time is defined by the number of cells as well as their efficiency in converting energy. People like the Senju who are born with strong bodies, often have more chakra than others because of this characteristic. It's said that in average their bodies have between 10 to 50% more cells."

Hearing those words, the crowd stared at the teacher in astonishment. What kind of concept is this? Can humans really be that different?

Seeing their astonished gazes, the teacher nodded. "Although this can give them an overwhelming advantage, it doesn't mean you can't increase your own chakra reserves over time.

As we grow older, our bodies will produce more cells, reaching an average of 130 trillion cells, and as our spiritual power grows, so does the amount of chakra we can have at any given time as well as the speed of chakra recovery.

If you want to have lots of chakra in the future, you must remember to improve both your body and your mind."

...

After a while everyone was sitting crosslegged with their eyes closed in meditation. The first attempt at actively moulding or kneading chakra was very cumbersome.

According to the mainstream theory studied and spread by the various ancestors over a period of more than a thousand years according to recorded history, the easiest method is to stimulate the spirit, therefore the need for meditation, while using the most basic handseal to interconnect most of the tenketsu present in both hands.

In this way, the stimulated spirit will cause a reaction where the natural chakra in the body moves on its own, until it reaches the hand and begin travelling from one tenketsu to another without the need of the chakra pathway system.

Tightening both hands at this point will force the blood flow to increase and physical energy will be gathered along the lungs, then chest, then arms and finally the hands, in this way muscle contractions and blood flow will generate residual energy while it moves around the body and spiritual energy will be naturally merged together with it due to the unusual concentration of natural chakra already produced in the body that was moved to the hands.

After a few cycles of direct transference between tenketsu, this natural chakra will be molded to the point of becoming very "docile" or simply less volatile, and the natural reaction that will follow is the active kneading of chakra, which will feedback from one's hands to their heart and in this way you will have finished your first practice of actively kneading chakra!

Practice it a few more times, and it will become a subconscious act. Over the years the stored chakra will be nurtured continually and grow together with both the body and the spirit.

While Yuta was silently immersed in this process in a corner, the chilren of clans were huddled together in boredom at the other side of the classroom.

For them, who had their parents to teach them from a young age, all this explanation and practice was just a complete waste of time, as they had already done such things when they were three years old.

But this class also had an interesting point, which is to differentiate the talented from the average joe.

As time passed, there was finally a reaction that drew the attention of the idling students and the teacher.

Under their surprised gaze, a powerful and fierce chakra flow burst out from Yuta. The chaotic chakra wasn't visible for the naked eye, but the side effects of it being 100% stimulated by him were.

It was like a storm had suddenly been brewed inside the classroom without anyone noticing. The wind made everyone's clothes and hair flutter.

"Oh! So impressive! It's rare for civilians to have such a fierce chakra. This guy will definitely stand out in the future."

The one who spoke was Sarutobi Asuma, being the son of lord hokage, he was the most experienced amongst the kids and had seen a wider world.

Kakashi on the side, raised one of his eyebrows but wasn't too interested. Compared to himself, this sight wasn't anything worth noting. Being the descendant of Hatake Sakumo, naturally, his talent is very high.

Uchiha Obito only thought it was interesting but also remained silently, after all, he too had learned this at home. He'd rather continue staring at his beautiful friend than to waste another second on Yuta.

Only the children from smaller clans like the Inuzuka and the Aburame paid more attention to this. After all, they weren't here just to study, collecting intelligence is also necessary, they have to report every ninja of civilian origin who seemed to be talented because those people could later be absorbed by the clan and integrated into their bloodline, making the strength of the family stronger over time.

By the end of the day, there were only four civilians who managed to learn Chakra Kneading, Yuta, Tohsaka- ahem, Nohara Rin, Mitarashi Anko and Ebisu.

As he stared at those three, many thoughts flew through Yuta's mind, and he couldn't help but plot a little. Should he build a good relationship with those three?

Since they are all of civilian origin, it shouldn't be a problem to make friends with them. Moreover, they are all people with pretty good connections in the future, except maybe for Rin...

Thinking of that, the corner of his mouth twitched.

But before he could decide, one of them had already taken the initiative to approach.

"Hayo, Yuta! You're very talented bro!"

Hearing this strange accent, Yuta was startled and turned to the side only to find Mitarashi Anko waving her hand at him.

This girl wearing white shorts, a black shirt and gray jacket approached in big strides, walking like a hooligan while she munched on a toothpick.

"Anko-san, you are also talented." Although he felt a little weird at this girl with a boyish attitude, he still replied politely.

"Haha! Why the face? Could it be that someone bullied you?"

Hearing her loud comments, Yuta blushed slightly as many people began to look at their direction.

Don't look at his nonsense and weird dreams in normal times, he is actually quite shy.

"Ahem, of course not!" He denied loudly, least she got him into trouble later, before replying quietly. "To be honest, I was just wandering if this humble Taoist should invite fellow brother and sister for a meal to commemorate the occasion."

As soon as he finished speaking, three interrogation points appeared above Anko's head as she stared at the boy with a weird look. Humble Taoist? Fellow brothers and sisters? What the heck?

"Kiddo, do you have a fever? I can take you to the hospital! Otherwise, you keep talking nonsense like that and nobody will understand you!"
