Chapter 444 - One Last Fight
"Aiden?" Emma muttered as she looked at the aftermath that Aiden had caused.
In less than five minutes, he had killed Thorin, Sylas, and Melinda. He had killed three out of the four founding families leaders.
"Go to your family's manor. Your mother needs help," Aiden replied to her right away as he remembered that she would be in danger.
"What about you? Where are you going?" Emma asked in a worried voice.
"I'm going to fix this fucking world," Aiden said as he glanced toward Jake with a smile.
Jake knew where he was heading and he had to admit that Aiden had balls. Killing the five gods, but if anyone could do it. It's him.
Jake raised a thumbs-up at him. "Good luck up there. Don't forget about us once you kill them all."
Aiden straightened his back as he looked around. "I won't. Don't worry."
"W-Where are you going?" Emma asked as tears kept falling out of the corner of her eyes.
"Somewhere far away. Don't worry, once I'm done. I'll come back and get you."
"A-Are you sure? You didn't become a Demon, did you?"
Aiden laughed. "Haha! I'm still the same, Aiden, you know and love. Just go see your mother and protect her, okay? And keep Jake close to you. He'll be able to deal with him."
Emma nodded as a portal suddenly appeared in front of Aiden.
Aiden wasn't surprised in the slightest as he knew that the Lumithars had been closely watching him, and they knew about him. They knew about his intentions.
Most of them probably thought that they were safe with the contract they had made with Aiden back then. However, with Aiden's previous sacrifice, it had become completely null, which meant that Aiden would go kill and hurt them just as much as they did to him.
Still, before entering the portal, Aiden sat down and cultivated shortly, gathering his Qi because using the Demonic Form was costly, and he needed some time for himself.
A few minutes passed, and he was completely ready to enter, as everyone watched him enter the portal.
The Soldiers from the Nightshade had completely given up because of Aiden's strength. They were now listening to Emma's every order.
There was no doubt in Aiden's mind that she would be fine with dealing with the founding family leader of the Elves. It was actually the last of his worries since Jake was around and was stronger than him.
Dismissing all worries from his mind, Aiden stood up and transformed once more into his Demonic Form before walking through the portal. He had no idea what was waiting for him on the other side of the portal, but he knew that the Five Gods would be aiming for his head.
He needed to be ready.
Aiden would be facing opponents much stronger than him. There was no doubt about that.
Opponents were so powerful that he didn't even know if he could win, even with the training he had done over the past few years. However, he could only hope.
Aiden had vowed to himself that he would be free, and if there was still someone up there controlling everything surrounding him, then he wasn't free. That's why he needed to kill them.
Aiden looked behind one last time before entering the portal and said, "See you soon."
Emma gave him one last hug from behind as Aiden still couldn't tell where he was going. However, from the manner in which he was acting, she knew that it was much more dangerous than it was here.
"C-Can I come with you? I-I don't want you to disappear for five years again."
Aiden patted her hand. "If I don't come back within a week, then consider that I am dead…for good."
Emma's eyes widened. "B-But who could kill you? P-Please don't die, okay?"
"I told you. I won't die. I will come back, and we will live a peaceful life away from all problems."
"B-But we won already. What more do you want?"
"I want to free everyone."
Aiden uttered those words as he steeled his mind on the goal ahead of him. It would be a tough fight. However, he believed in himself to be able to win against everyone facing him.
Aiden didn't look back as he knew that it might make him hesitate as he entered the portal with a clear mind.
His vision blurred for a moment before becoming normal once again. However, he didn't appear somewhere random. He was back in an empty space—an endless space—and at the end of it, Aiden could see five people sitting on their respective thrones.
In an instant, Aiden recognized Ariel, the goddess of Charm, looking down at him with her usual smile. She seemed quite easygoing, sitting on her throne in an unsightly manner.
Beside her were four people which Aiden had never seen in the past. However, the aura they were exuding could easily be compared to the double of Sylas's, which meant that the fight ahead of him would be a tough one for sure.
"Are you here to kill us~?" Ariel teased as she didn't move from her throne.
Aiden knew there was no reason to lie as he removed the mask from his face and said, "Yes. I'm here to kill every single one of you."
"And what will you do once you kill us all~?" Ariel teased again.
"I will free everyone from their shackles."
"And what are those shackles that you speak of?" A booming voice uttered. It wasn't Ariel this time. It came from one of the men who was sitting beside her. He didn't look human, in fact, Aiden was confident that this God wasn't human and was in fact a mix between a human and an animal.
'The God of Animals…?' Aiden thought with a frown. 'Maybe the God of Strength?'
Each of the Gods had their specialty from the looks of it, and the body of the god who had spoken was so muscular that the God of Strength was most likely his title. Aiden couldn't see any way around it.
"The system that the Lumithars have created. I will free everyone from it."
"Will you really?" The same booming voice answered. "You think you can win against the five of us because you went to train? Do you think we're that weak, or are you that arrogant?"
"Neither. I know my worth."
"You don't even know how things work. You don't even know the slightest thing about the Lumithars, but you want to take over? How naive. I thought you would be different from the rest of those insects. But it seems you're just as stupid as them. Even if we die, the system will live on.
The worlds you have seen and experienced will still be under our control."
"Then, I'll just have to destroy and kill the source of all of your power."
The man shook his head as he stood up from his throne.
"I'll give you one chance to leave and be a good little dog in your world. After all, you're already free from the system. That little bitch sacrificed himself for you."
Aiden only smirked. "I don't believe your words. You said that if you die, you will still control all those worlds? I don't believe that. You're not all-powerful; you know that you have a weakness, or else why would you have ever done that deal with me back then when I had failed a trial."
"That was simply because you were interesting. Don't think there's anything more to it," the animal-looking man uttered with a frown. "Let's stop talking. This is already getting boring. Let's fight."
He was the only one who stood up as the rest of the Gods stayed and sat in their seat, simply watching from behind. However, Aiden had no time to waste. He wouldn't be fighting them one after another, making himself exhausted over time.
"All of you lazy scums, stand up and fight me at the same time."
Aiden could already tell what their specialty was for each of them.
Ariel was Charm. The man in front of him was Strength. The slender man with a hood was Agility. The fourth one was a Weapon Master as he had a bunch of weapons around his waist. The last one was a bit harder to tell, but when he revealed his staff, Aiden understood that it was Magic.
It meant that the man who had stood up would act like a tank, while the others would do their best to keep their distance or strike when the time was right.
"Tsk, tsk, Aiden…don't provoke us too much~!" Ariel smiled. "We're nice right now, and you wouldn't want that to change, would you?" Her loving gaze suddenly changed to one of death as she wasn't happy any longer.
She knew that Aiden's mind was set on killing each and every single one of them, and there was nothing that would be able to change such a thing.
"Just stand up and stop talking, he said. This is getting boring."
Let alone a week. There was a good chance Aiden would be able to come back in a few hours.
All of the five Gods stood up as they looked at Aiden with a deadly gaze. It seemed he had been able to rile up most of them into fighting him. However, most of them underestimate him, and that would make a difference in the upcoming fight.
Aiden would use all of their gaps and win through them. Making them regret thinking that he was weak.
Aiden took a deep breath and looked up into the starless sky of this endless environment.
"One last fight until I can be free."
