The Strongest Assassin of the Zoldyck Family!

Chapter 185: Chapter 185

"Kill you!"

"Kill you!"

"Kill you!"

A furious roar erupted from the monstrous creature's throat.

Wendy's face paled.

Akutagawa Ryuunosuke stepped forward.

"Jaw!"

The dark-colored blade morphed into massive jaws, clamping down on the monster with a ferocious bite.

*Crack!*

The sharp sound of bones snapping echoed through the air.

The monster was torn in half by the jaws, its remains scattered across the ground.

But once again, black threads emerged, reassembling the scattered body parts.

The threads even stitched together new corpses, creating an even larger abomination.

Rather than weakening, its aura grew even stronger.

"Those threads are the key," Ron said. "Unless we sever those threads, these monsters will never die."

On the other side, Dominica had noticed the same thing.

"Ron, Wendy, I'll create an opening for you. Leave this place and find the creature's main body."

"Understood."

Dominica took a deep breath and clapped his hands together.

In an instant, the ground beneath Ron and Wendy separated from the surrounding area. A massive column of earth shot upward, carrying them both to its peak.

The column quickly reached over a hundred meters, becoming the highest point in the town.

The monsters charged toward them.

But before they could reach the column, earthen barriers created by Dominica blocked their advance.

"Wendy, you take that side. I'll take this one," Ron instructed.

"Got it."

The two split up to search.

"En!"

The situation in the town had shifted noticeably.

Previously, the dark aura had been evenly distributed.

Now, it appeared as scattered clusters, like inkblots on white paper.

Ron realized that the true monster must be hiding within one of these clusters.

"The monster's concentration has caused this shift."

"The entire town's population has essentially gathered here."

Ron glanced back toward Dominica.

"Senior Dominica is truly incredible."

"Facing so many monsters while using large-scale abilities without breaking a sweat... His aura reserves are extraordinary. I wonder how he compares to Uncle Silva."

"In the entire Sky Arena, aside from the Floor Master, I doubt anyone is stronger than Senior Dominica."

Wendy looked at Ron just as he turned his gaze back.

Their eyes met, and a spark of understanding passed between them.

The next moment, both began gathering aura in their hands.

Ron fixed his eyes on one of the nearby clusters of dark energy.

"Good thing I practised Ko alongside my Nen Bullets. Otherwise, creating a bullet strong enough to harm the real monster would've been much harder."

Aura gathered rapidly in Ron's hands.

He compressed it, again and again, until a powerful energy radiated from his palm.

On the other side, Wendy formed a sphere in her hand, her aura condensing visibly.

The two acted simultaneously.

*Boom!*

Ron's Nen Bullet struck one of the dark clusters, triggering a massive explosion.

The building collapsed instantly.

Wendy's attack landed in a pond, sending water flying into the air.

Even the pond's muddy bottom was blasted away, and the fish and shrimp were shredded into pieces.

"Let's keep going!"

Ron and Wendy launched another round of attacks.

At this point, the hidden monsters realized what they were trying to do.

If it continued hiding, Ron and Wendy would eventually find it.

Instead, it decided to strike first, aiming to catch them off guard.

The monster targeted Dominica.

It could sense the aura of all three opponents.

Dominica was the strongest.

By eliminating Dominica, the monster believed Ron and Wendy would no longer pose a threat.

*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*

The outermost monsters began falling one by one.

Those restrained by Dominica's earthen bindings also ceased moving as the black threads left their bodies.

Suddenly, countless black threads surged out of the ground around Dominica.

The sheer number of threads resembled a tidal wave, engulfing Dominica completely.

In moments, Dominica was wrapped in an enormous sphere of black threads.

And the threads kept coming.

Layer upon layer, the sphere grew denser, becoming a tightly woven mass.

Looking at the grotesque orb, Ron felt a twinge of trypophobia.

*Boom!*

A building split open.

This was one of the dark clusters Ron and Wendy had been targeting.

From inside emerged a figure.

It was a girl, appearing around sixteen or seventeen years old. Her body was frail, her complexion pale, as if she hadn't seen sunlight in months. She looked like someone who had spent countless nights awake in an internet café.

Dark circles surrounded her bloodshot, crimson eyes.

"Why?"

"Why?"

"Why do you disturb me?"

"I wasn't trying to hurt you!"

"Why touch my things?"

"Why disturb me?"

"I just wanted a peaceful life. Why is that so much to ask?"

"Why couldn't you leave like everyone else?"

"What did I do wrong?"

"What crime have I committed?"

"I only wanted love!"

"Why am I at fault?"

"Damn it!"

"All of you deserve to die!"

"I'll kill you all!"

The girl's expression twisted with madness. Her hysteria was palpable.

Ron noticed her unusually long hair trailing behind her in multiple strands.

Some strands pierced the ground, others wrapped around the beams of the building, while others connected to several corpses. Among these corpses, one stood out.

It was a young man.

His condition and position were entirely different from the others.

The sight triggered a memory for Ron.

The last time he had visited this town, he had seen this person.

The girl raised her hand.

In response, the massive orb of hair surrounding Dominica began to rise into the air, supported by strands extending from the ground.

As the orb floated higher, its size began to shrink.

This wasn't because the girl was reducing the number of threads in the orb.
